The Omegas Call

Fourteen

"Who is it?" Sophia asks as she reads her memos from her fathers about her part of the business. Yesterday, after she came out of her head space and went home, Sophia realized that she may need space from Lily. Clearly, the omega has some resentment towards something that has nothing to do with the beta but Sophia got the brunt of it and it wasnt fair.

She was fragile when Lily threw her out, over a simple suggestion at that, and it took hours for the poor girl to stop crying and begging to be let inside.

So, as a result of such bad Mommy-ing, Sophia has put her own hold on their relationship. She has declined every call, ignored every text and DM, and even told her parents to not let her in the house until she has agreed to it.

"Lily." Of course the damn receptionist forgot about her request of not seeing anyone today. Sophia rolls her eyes, glad the door is locked.

"Who?" Sophia asks innocently. "Im sorry, I dont recall meeting a Lily."

"Sophia.." The omega sighs.

"Im afraid Im going to need you off the premises before I call security, good day."

"I bought you lunch?" The beta licks her thumb and flips the page of her memo without a response. "Youre favorite take out."

"This is your second warning." Sophia calls out, adjusting her glasses. "The third wont be so pleasant."

"You wouldnt do that."

"Try me, Ms. Horan."

"Jesus— could you atleast open the door? Your coworkers are staring."

"Reminds me of your neighbors from yesterday." Sophia bites. "You'll live."

"Baby..."

"Dont call me that. You have no right anymore."

Theres silence.

"Are you..?" She didnt finish the sentence, but Sophia knew what she was asking. Are you breaking up with me?

"I think I am, yes." Her voice wasnt confident, and she could feel tears gathering in her eyes. "Dont make it a third time, Lily, get out."

"I..." Theres silence before Sophia hears shuffling and she could see a shadow at the foot of her door. "I wont be going anywhere."

"For love of —"

"I'll sit here all day."

"I wont be leaving until late, and you have school." Sophia tries to reason, rubbing her forehead.

"Guess Im sitting here all day."

And she did. She didnt get up once; not to pee, poop, eat, or to just get blood circulating. She kept her little butt right on the floor infront of Sophias office.

It wasnt until well into the night that she heard shuffling from inside the room. By now, everyone on the floor had left to go home or do whatever they did after work. It was only Sophia and Lily left.

When the door opens, Lily is quick to stand with the cold lunch and give her lover puppy eyes.

"Sophia..."

"Youre fucking crazy, you know that?" The omega blushes as the beta looks between her and the food. Sophia sighs and snatches the bag. "Absolutely crazy..."

After heating the food in the break room, both girls went back to Sophias office and laid on the floor with Chinese sprawled around them.

"Im sorry." Lily speaks first. Sophia stares at her pint of rice, eating little bits, but Lily knew she was listening. "I know I act reckless with you, like I dont care, and Im sorry about that. I shouldnt have thrown you out in that state, much less insult you and threaten you. Ive been a terrible mommy to you, Soph."

"I just dont get why you did it. Even if you were angry with me, it didnt have to go that far. It should never go that far when Im like that."

"I know, and I wasnt thinking about how that would effect you mentally." Sophia stops eating to look at Lily. "Im selfish a lot of times, you know that, but I want to try to work this out. I want to make myself better for you, do better as your mommy. I just— Im going to screw it up sometimes, no doubt, but I need your patience because I honestly care for you so much and I dont want to lose you."

"I dont think I should forgive you so quickly..."

"Yeah," Lily sighs and grabs her own pint of rice. "Yeah, I understand. Could I at least make it up to you a few times?"

The beta twists her mouth in thought before picking a shrimp and eating it. She looks at the ceiling and hums. "Sure."

Lily doesnt reply, just kisses her cheek and they go back to eating their Chinese.

"Any theories yet?" Louis sips his tea as William waters his rose bushes. Both mothers have been keeping an eye on Andrew since this morning. First it was roses, now the omega was practically glowing— and both parents knew that glow.

"What about James or Max?" William looks at Louis. "Those are the only other alphas in this house, and Andys gay."

"Could be experimenting."

"With who? Thea?" William huffs and rolls his eyes as he pats down the mulch. "Not likely. The boy likes dick."

"Jesus— Dont word it like that." Louis cringes. "How do we tell which one it is?"

"We wait." William stands and takes off his gloves. "They'll slip up eventually. How would you feel about it?"

Theres silence and Louis raises an eyebrow. "Not my choice, really. They know the risks of interbreeding and mating."

William hums and looks past his brother to see the youngest father of the house walking towards them. The omega coos and puts his arms out.

"Look at you, all hairy and buff." He touches Marcels beard and kisses him. "Trying to be manly."

"I am manly." Marcel pouts and Louis nuzzles his neck. The alpha blushes.

"Wanna feel it between my thighs." Louis licks the alphas neck and William hums in agreement. "Beards might be a kink of mine, daddy. Wanna find out?"

"Oh, jeez..." Marcel mumbles as the omegas start tugging on his clothes, all three sinking to the grass.
