Beach Time

After waiting about half an hour, everybody was ready. I went upstairs and put on a black bikini along with a white cover-up on top of it. I grab my purse and phone and we all gathered in my mom's car. Since there wasn't a whole lot of us, we could all fit. The whole ride Beth, Adrian, and I talked about what we would do there. Callie sat on her phone the whole time looking up exciting activities to do at the beach. Where she usually lives, there is no beach. Which Is why I feel so bad for her, which also means she doesn't get much sun either. Which is why she's very pale.

Callie figured out she wanted to play volleyball, go surfing, and build Sandcastles. Since we didn't have surfboards, we'd have to go end up having to rent them. But they're not very expensive. So it wasn't a problem. It took about 20 minutes to get to the beach, especially because of traffic. It's a really warm day to go, so looks like everybody else had the same idea. It would usually take 10 minutes, but it doubled due to the traffic.

Once we finally arrive, it took us about another 10 minutes, to find an area to sit. It was down farther away from the car, so my mom had to move the car. Once we had everything down and situated. We decided to go play volleyball first.

Beth was on Callie's team, and Adrian was on mine. About two years ago, I played volleyball for our high school. But once I graduated, I decided not to continue it in college. It wasn't something I wanted to do.

Of course, I enjoyed it, but I only did it because of one of my old friends. But when she moved away, I wasn't enjoying it as much. And I had to finish off the season, playing alone.

Callie knows how to play, so she was teamed up with Beth, who didn't know how to play. And that is why I was also paired up with Adrian. He's more of a football player, rather than a volleyball player.

I didn't know Callie was so good at the game, by the end of the game, we were actually really close in score. I had scored 31 points, and Adrian had scored two. Which was very surprising. We ended up winning by only four points. Callie, of, course scored the most points on her team. Beth only scored five. But it's better than Adrian did, I'm surprised Adrian didn't score more since he has played football for about 10 years.

Once the game is over, we decided to go out and swim. Beth decided not to go in and actually eat. Since it was almost about lunchtime. Callie decided to do the same. So me and Adrian went out into the water alone.

" The water feels amazing, the last time I was out swimming, it was a year ago. I really do miss it. It's too bad we don't bring the group out here. Mostly because of Blake, since he is too afraid."I said. And Adrian nodded. Me and him used to go to the beach all the time. Building Sandcastle's, and digging holes in the sand to fill each other up with. I really miss the old days, when it was just me and him. Jennifer and Blake joined about seven years ago. Of course, I'm happy with them joining, but when it was just me and Adrian, we didn't have to worry about anything else. Not about jealousy, and not about dealing with all the drama of being a third wheel.

" I know, I wish we did come out here more. We should come out here more often, and not with the group. Just me and you. I think it could be fun." he said. And I nodded. It was a good idea, Adrain and I hang out more. We don't hang out together as much, since we all hang out as a group.

" come on, let's go eat. They're probably wondering what we're doing, and I'm pretty hungry."I said. Adrian, I headed up to the shore and headed where my mom was, Beth, and Callie were. They were all sitting on their towels and eating their sandwiches. I decided not to pack a sandwich and just decided to grab a hamburger at the restaurant a little farther up.

" mom, Adrian and I are going to go and get a hamburger. Do any of you want something?"I asked her. A few years ago, I had decided to do the same thing, but I didn't ask them. And they got so mad that I came back with french fries, and a hamburger that they didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. But I didn't really care, because I had an amazing lunch.

" Yeah, can I actually come with you? I don't know what they have up there. Since the last time, you didn't ask us." Beth said. I nodded. Beth got up, and we are headed to the restaurant, which was about a mile down from where we were before. Since it's a little bit of a walk, I made Adrian carry me. Since my legs were hurting.

Once we arrive, Adrian put me down, and we headed inside to get our food. And while we are waiting in line, a boy about Beth's age knocked into me. He seemed to be a waiter, and a plate crash down in front of him and spilling the food everywhere.

" oh my God, I am so sorry. Let me clean this up. Did you get any food on you?" the Boy asked me. I shook my head. After he cleaned up the food, he came back and apologized to me again. By that time, Beth had caught his eye. As soon as he looked at her, he couldn't stop staring at her. He looked at her like he was madly in love with her. I rolled my eyes. Teenage love...

" I'm really sorry about what happened to your sister. Do you need anything?" He asked Beth. Beth smiled, and blushed. It looks like she liked him too.

" can we get three hamburgers and three small fries? And then also three sodas." I asked the boy. He turned to me and nodded. He had then headed off to get our food, and about 10 minutes later he came out with our food. We decided not to walk back, then eat. Because our food would have ended up getting cold.

" Hey, I see a restaurant down there. How about we go there for dinner?" Beth said and I nodded.
