"So what do we need to buy?" Adrian asked me.

"Just some stuff my mother still needs to buy. I think most of this stuff is for my aunt. Cause 2 days ago she changed her mind about coming, which did piss my mom off but she is still happy that she is coming in general." I said as we walked into the store.

"Let's go into the make up isle," I said.

"What do we need from there?"He asked me.

"I need some new lipstick,"  I said.

It took me about 2 minutes before I finally found the color that I needed then Adrian and I headed over to more isles.

"So can we talk now?" Adrian asked.

I nodded

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked him.

"Why were you so mad at me?" he asked.

"I have many reasons Adrian," I said looking at all of the items.

"Tell me one." He said.

"I don't want to sound too much like a hypocrite but I didn't like seeing you with her. I got jealous Adrian." I said.

" I feel the same, Melissa. I didn't even know you were dating." He said.

"I wasn't dating Noah as soon as we broke up. Him and I met a few years ago at my college. We became friends and one day he asked me out on a date, then I felt like I needed to move on from you. But it seems like I haven't." I said

"I haven't either Melissa. I really do miss you too." He said.

"Can we do this later Adrian? If we keep talking about this I might start crying." I said and Adria nodded.

We stopped talking about everything and finished our shopping.

After finishing our shopping, we headed back home. It was about four hours before the party. And I still had to get ready.

When we got home, I placed the items that we had bought earlier on the counter. I wrote a letter to my mom, saying that we got all the items. My mom wasn't home, since she was getting the last finishing touches to the meal she was preparing.

" Noah! Where are you?"I yelled out around the house. I looked around on the first floor. But I couldn't find it. Where is he?

I know he wouldn't be downstairs, because there's truly nothing down there. It's mostly boxes. Since my mother had just moved in this house a few months ago.

I finally decided to go search for him upstairs, since it was my last idea. I walked around upstairs, checking my mother's room, the spare room, and the room the Adrian was staying in. I didn't find him in them either. I finally decided to check our room. And I found him asleep laying on her bed.

I quietly walked up to him, and shrugged his shoulders. I didn't want to startle him, because I know he hates when I do that. After one shrug didn't work, I push the shoulder a little bit more. And he finally opens eyes.

" Noah, it's time for us to get ready. Go take a shower. I'm gonna go take a shower in my moms room." I said. Noah nodded. I move from the bed, noah got up and headed into the bathroom.

After three hours of getting ready, I was finally dressed and had my hair, and my make up done. I heard the front door open a few times, so that probably means a few of my mom's close friends are here. My mom had told me earlier, that they would be here earlier than others. Because she wanted to talk to them alone.

Noah was  already downstairs, helping my stepfather get the food ready. My mother didn't like having servants around. She said it made her feel like a little rich bitch. Interesting since she made my stepfather buy this house. But I'm not gonna say anything about it.

As I was about to walk on the stairs, I felt somebody grab my hand.

" Adrian? I thought you were downstairs." I said

"No. That must've been somebody else. I've been upstairs this whole time. I was watching my mom and dad a merry Christmas." Adrian said and I nodded.

" I guess we better head downstairs." I said. And Adrian nodded. We headed downstairs, and waited for the party to start.

1 HOUR LATER - DURING DINNER TIME

Adrian and I didn't talk brought the party. He was mostly with his girlfriend. As I was with Noah. After two hours of the party. My mother called everybody for dinner.

Noah who is sitting right next to me, stood up and tapped the wine glass with a utensil. To get everyone's attention.

" sorry to interrupt. But I have a question."Noah said. He move the chair so I could stand up next to him

Noah then got down on one knee, and took out the box.

" Melissa? The love of my life. Will you marry me?" Noah asked me.
