You know everyone would be there. You pedal faster down the road. You knew you should've been worried about all the trouble you were getting in with your parents but you were too distracted by the thought of what we about to happen. You would worry about that later. You take a sharp turn into the park. You see that Beverly was already there.

You have no doubt she would be the first one. She waves at you.

You quickly pedal over to her, out of breath.

Beverly: y/n! What's going on? You alright?

You took a deep breath.

Y/n: just wait for the rest of us to get here...

Beverly nods.

It wasn't too late after that, when Eddie and Richie show up together, of course.

"Listen dude it's not funny. Just stop doing that. I'm not gay!"

"Come on take a joke man!"

You and Beverly could hear them talking in the distance.

You and Bev look at eachother and smile, trying to hold in your laughs.

Y/n: come on guys! Your literally taking forever... this is actually important!

They start to speed up.

Everyone was here except for Stanley and Bill.

Eddie: look, y/n... you have to make this quick please! My mom is gonna kill me if I don't get home soon and take my meds and you know it...

Y/n: don't worry I'm probably gonna be grounded for like... ever after this. But it'll be worth it I swear.

Everyone waits... and waits...

Eddie: okay that's it... I'm not waiting for another 5 minutes. If they don't come I'm leaving.

Y/n: don't leave please!

You could see someone walking in the distance.

Y/n: Stan?

He waves as he starts walking closer towards everyone.

Y/n: thank god! Bill better hurry up though...

Stanley: I can't stay for long guys. My dad told me to be home by 7:15.

Y/n: don't worry it won't take long!

Things were rather awkward. Nobody was talking like usual. Almost like nobody knew each other... not even Richie and Eddie.

You were starting to get anxious. You knew that everyone would leave if he didn't come soon enough... and you knew that you were losing your friends.

Right then and there, you'd finally had it.

Y/n: guys... I don't have much faith that Bill is gonna show up.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

You looked up from the ground.

Y/n: but I'm still gonna say what I needed to say.

You noticed Stanley kept checking his watch.

Y/n: listen guys... lately I feel like we've been falling apart... like as friends. We're not as close anymore and it's not gonna be the same without Bill here. I don't wanna lose you guys because you're the only people that make me happy at this point. I was completely hopeless of finding friends when I first moved here but then I met you guys.

You tried to keep your tears in but one slipped out.

Beverly put her hand on your shoulder.

Beverly: you will always have me... I won't leave your side... ever.
