Meet Dad

After school I get Taylor and we sit around and watch cartoons all afternoon, Cassie is out at the book store or wherever it is she always is. "Goldie." I say as the lage dog puts her head onto my lap. She whimpers. "Are you hungry?" I ask her. She barks loudly. "I take that as a yes then. Ill be back Tay." He nods distractedly. I laugh and head into the kitchen and pour a large bowl of dog food. As soon as I back away she attacks the food. I Hear the doorbell and I go over and answer it. "Yeah." I say to the lady with brown hair and big blue eyes. She looks about 5'8 she looks so familiar. "Do I know you?" I ask.

"I didn't exactly get to introduce myself that New Years, Im Jennifer but you can call me Jen."

"Your the naked women from my dads bed." I laugh a little and a strong blush fills her cheeks.

"Im sorry about that."

"What are you doing here?"

"Well your dad asked me to come over and just check on you and your brother."

"Holly." I turn around and there Taylor standing behind me.

"Yeah squirt."

"Can't Heck come over?" I smile.

"Sure."

"Whose she?" He asks me.

"This is Jen."

"Hi Taylor, can't I come in Holly?" I nod hesitantly. I step to the side and she comes in and sits here bag down and puts here coat down. "How about I make you guys dinner?"

"Can it be meatloaf?"Taylor asks.

"Yes and if your good ill make a cake."

"You dont have to." I say.

"Really I want to." I shrug.

"Im gonna call Heck." I say to Taylor.

"Whose he?" Jen asks.

"My boyfriend."

"Your dad didnt mention you having a boyfriend."

"My dad didnt mention a lot of things." I say angrily and walk back into my room and grab my phone.

I dial Heck and he answers on the first ring. "I need you."

"Whats wrong?" He asks a little alarmed.

"Nothing Taylor is asking for you and one of my dads girlfriends just showed up and shes making dinner."

"Ill be there in ten."

"Thanks." I hang up and fall back on my bed. I feel the bed dip beside me and hair tickle my arm. I look over at the dog in my bed. I rub her fur. "You seem to be to attached to me." I laugh a little."I wonder how many girls there are now. Does my dad even know what the word faithful means? What if I'm just like him or worse like her." I shake my head and sigh. "You have no idea what I'm talking about do you?" She just sticks her tounge out and licks my hand. "Good girl."

"You do know that dogs carry fleas dont you." I lift miself up on my elbows and look at the door.

"When did you get here?" I ask him.

"Few minutes ago, Jen let me in."

"I see." He shuts the door behind him and locks it. "What's wrong with your dads girlfriend being here?"

"You know what's wrong Heck." He snorts. "Go play with Taylor, that's why I called you." He chuckles.

"You called me because you need me just as badly as I need you." He comes over and sits down and pulls me to his chest. "So what your dad has a new girlfriend."
