Chapter 7

*^ that's Lavae in case y'all forgot*

I woke up to the bright light from outside. I yawned and grabbed my phone checking the time, it was 7 am. I scrunched my face, "why is it so early?" I said to myself. I looked at my phone checking my notifications on Instagram. I forgot I posted a picture last night. I had 436 likes and some comments. I scanned through the comments liking them but stopped when I saw a laughing emoji. I went back up and saw  that my bestfriend put the laughing emoji. I made a straight face and replied back asking what's funny. I went to my messages and clicked on her contact name, I was getting ready to type but I knew I was going to say something out the way so I calmed down and locked my phone. I don't know what's been up with her lately but I'm not feeling it. I rolled my eyes and went back to sleep.

                 11:34 am
I woke up to my covers being snatched off. "Get up I'm making breakfast and I'm bored and need help." Lavae said as she started folding the covers. I stretched before getting up and using the bathroom. After I got done brushing my teeth I washed my hands and walked into the kitchen. She had eggs, sausage, and grits out on the counter. "Where the biscuits?" I asked as I grabbed the pot putting water in them for the grits. "Oh yea." She opened the fridge and pulled out the biscuits putting them on the counter. She looked at me confused, "why you making the grits first do the meat." She said. I looked at her like she was retarded, "ok you're obviously slow or don't know how to cook so just let me cook breakfast." I said laughing shaking my head at her as I continued doing what I was doing. "Shiiit MY PLEASURE!" She yelled making us both laugh because thats what we have to say at work. That's when I thought of tyun and smiled remembering she gave me her number last night. I didn't text her right away last night because we had company and it would've been rude and it was kinda late anyways so she probably was getting ready for bed. After setting the food up I sat down at the table pulling my phone out texting tyun: Hey, Good morning ☺️

"So what's up with your bestfriend? What's funny?" Lavae asked as she sat down at the table. "Want me to say something? I'll talk to her." Lavae kept going.  I shook my head no because I know that she's bold and will do whatever she feel. "Nah it's cool I got it but I don't know what she was laughing at. Ima text her right now." I pulled out my phone texting my bestfriend asking what's up with her and why she put laughing emojis under our picture. "That girl been acting real funny. Oh my god she probably doesn't like meeeee. She thinks I'm trying to replace herrrrrr." Lavae said with a shocked face. I looked at her laughing but she might be right. Cathy was a jealous bestfriend and this wouldn't be the first time she got jealous of someone else I was hanging out with. She hated when I got close to other people. I didn't see the issue though because she had friends she hanged with as well but I never got jealous because I knew she would always be my bestfriend no matter what. After we finished making breakfast we sat at the table and ate our food. Once we finished we took a shower and got ready for work. "Today better be slow." Lavae said as she adjust her hat on her head. I wasn't in the mood for work or anything today. I was kinda down and I wasn't sure why. I checked my phone seeing if my bestfriend texted back but she just left me on read and tyun also didn't text back. I sighed putting my phone in my back pocket. "You ready?" I asked her as I grabbed my keys. She shook her head yes and we went on our way to work.

"They didn't put any pickles on my sandwich." A lady said throwing her food down on the counter. "And my fries are cold" she said pointing at her plate. I looked at her, she had a stank look on her face. "Okay mam would you like for them to remake your meal?" I said to her gently. "No! I want my damn refund I don't have time for this I got places to be!" She said with an attitude putting her hands on her hip. I sighed, "I don't have time for this." I mumbled as I went to the back to get a manger. "What you say little girl? You got some you wanna say to me?" The lady said to me making me turn around. I looked at her with a straight look on my face. "Go get your fucking manger!" She yelled. Now everyone was looking at us because she was causing a scene. "I don't wanna have to beat nobody ass." She mumbled. I giggled and just stood there staring at her. I wanted her to try some shit. She started walking towards me and I continued to stand there holding my ground. I don't care about her being older or bigger I'm not letting nobody talk to me crazy. "Did you hear what I said bitch?" She said to me. I lost it, I was about to jump across the counter but I felt someone pull me back and dragged me to the back of the restaurant. I turned around and saw Lavae, she knew I was heated so she just stood in front of me blocking me from leaving her sight. The manager walked out of the office and went to the front where he heard the commotion. "You good?" Lavae asked me. I shook my head yea. "Cus you was finna pounce on that ass I saw it all over your face." she said laughing. I laughed, "that bitch had me fucked up!" I said trying to look around the corner to see if she was still here. Lavae stopped me as the manager came back around the corner. He motioned me to follow him into his office to talk..."I bet I'm getting fired." I thought to myself as I closed the door behind me.
