Midna floated along in Link's shadow, just like old times. It was great to see the guy, even if it wouldn't be for long. In her opinion, it was unlikely that they would find her. The Twilight Realm wasn't incredibly big, and she had never seen another palace or race. Yet he was determined, so she decided she'd tag along on his goose-chase. After all, she was the Queen, and if someone was going to be poking around her land, she was going to be there.

Plus, she got to be with Link again.

She really hadn't wanted to break the mirror. The idea of going back and forth all the time to see him and Zelda made her excited, but it could never be that simple, could it? No, breaking the mirror and ending means of transportation between the worlds was the safest thing for both of them.

Or so she thought.

How this so-called Dark Lord managed to get to the Light world and cause havoc, she didn't know. It seems that even the break wasn't enough to keep dark forces at bay.

So what then?

Sure, it probably shouldn't matter to the Twilight Queen what happens to the world that banished her ancestors, but Link had grown on her, and Zelda was the ruler of the Light world, so they automatically looked out for each other.

If they couldn't find her though, it wouldn't matter anyway. The Light world would fall without her, and after, what would stop them from attacking her land?

No, that wouldn't work at all.

But Link was wondering around like an idiot, obviously not knowing where to go. She rolled her eyes, leaning back and putting her arms behind her head. The shadow seemed tiny forever if she wanted to, and never run into a wall. Just another advantage of being the Twilight queen.

Link groaned,

"Ugh! I don't even know where to start! This place doesn't leave much space to look for castles," Link said, coming to a stop. He had been walking around for the past hour, looking all over the Twilight Realm for the slightest hint of a hidden Otherrealm. Midna sighed, before flying out of the shadow and hovering in front of him, crossing her arms,

"Link, it's a hidden castle. Do you really expect to find it just by looking around?" She asked, raising an eyebrow though he couldn't see it. He sighed,

"Do you have a better idea? Can't you, I don't know, sense around to find the hidden area?" He asked, looking kind of desperate. She didn't answer for a moment, letting his question sink into him,

"You and I both know that's ridiculous, Link. I may have powers, but I don't have a sixth sense all of the sudden,"

"I know that! What the hell am I supposed to do then, Midna?! I don't know! I'm supposed to be the hero here, the one who's solved countless puzzles. But now, the one time I NEED to figure this out, I can't! Ugh, this is driving me crazy!" He said loudly, putting his hands behind his head,

"Yeah, I can tell," Midna murmured under her breath, "Look, just calm down. Is freaking out like this REALLY going to help anything? No. Now, use your brain, idiot. Zelda's counting on you, so hurry up!" With that, she dipped back into his shadow, taking a deep breath. She didn't really think he was THAT much of an idiot, but better he didn't know that. In reality, she was really glad she got to see him again. It made her feel...normal again. She was hoping this time she could keep her friend around awhile longer this time.

He just nodded, walking forward, and then back again, pacing. Midna groaned before floating back out of his shadow and whizzing to a spot a few feet, crossing her legs in the air and putting her hands behind her head,

"Let me know when you figure something out, k?" She said, watching him. He paused, glaring at her,

"You COULD help, you know," He snapped. She rolled her eyes, snapping her fingers. The air beside him began to waiver,

"Hey, Mr. oh-so-talented Hero, I brought you here, which brought you a whole lot closer to finding your LOVE. But, if you really don't appreciate all of the things I've done for you, I can send you back and forget about this whole thing. Sound good?"She asked with fake cheeriness. His eyes widened as he looked at the portal, stepping away from it,

"Fine, fine. I'm sorry," he said. She snapped them again and it disappeared,

"Hmph," She simply said, putting her arms back behind her head.

Then, the slightest disruption in the sky far away caught her eye. Link kept pacing, not having seen it. He must not have discovered the full extent of the powers his triforce gave him. Oh well, Zelda was closer the last time she had spoke to her, so maybe she could teach him how to discover them.

None of that mattered though, not right now. She teleported over to that area, turning into her normal Imp self instead of the shadow she was, and Link looked immediately to the area she was,

"Woah. I said I was sorry, why did you go?" He asked, just assuming she heard him,

"Ok, 1st of all, I can go wherever I want, I don't have to ask for your approval. 2nd, get your heroic butt over here," She said, projecting her voice over to him. He turned his head towards her before running over to her,

"Yeah?" He said, not breathless despite the fact that he had run from the opposite side of the Twilight Realm. It didn't surprise her though. He had spent months running all over the Light realm defeating monsters.

She pointed to the area where the last of the default was fading away. She then reached her hand out, but it didn't touch anything but air,

"Um, Midna? What...what are you doing?" Link asked, watching her. She waved her hand around, not touching anything. She looked back at him to see him raise an eyebrow,

"Why are you looking at me like that, idiot?" She asked, crossing her arms. He shrugged,

"Well, you're waving your hands around in the air, and uh, there's nothing there," He said. She rolled her eyes before charging her hand with electricity and putting it exactly where the malfunction was. This time, it sparked and broke.

There was a medium-sized hole in what looked like the middle of the air in front of her. Behind it was a dark stone wall with dead grass in front of it. She heard thunder from the other side.

Then, the hole started healing itself. Midna gasped, but jumped at the chance. Her hair flew out behind her and wrapped around Link, who gasped at the suddenness of everything. She then jumped in the hole, yanking him along with her, and the hole snapped shut behind them, now a inky gate that seemed to have no solid substance.

Link saw her looking at it,

"It's made of pure darkness. Much more potent than any shadow you've seen in the Twilight Realm. Any Light being wouldn't be able to stand it, and even the Twili would have great difficulty passing something that forceful. We're dealing with worse things than I had assumed. Well, let's go," She said, giving the gate one last glance before dipping down into his shadow,

"Right. NOW we're getting somewhere. Let's do this thing," He said, drawing his sword. He looked down at it in surprise.

It was glowing again, for the first time in several years. It was brighter now, since the darkness there was more concentrated. Midna looked up at it, oddly attracted by the light. Even Twili learned to appreciate Light in a place this Dark. It was a moment before she sighed,

"Already forget why you're here? Come on, hurry up!" She said impatiently. Link nodded and started forward, a determined look on his face.

Midna leaned back in his shadow, smirking to herself. They were back, and anyone who wanted to mess with the pair of them were in for the pounding of their life. She chuckled.

It felt good to be back in the saving the world game.

*Yeah, so there's a little Midna POV for ya. Enjoy! :)*
