Midna sighed as the portal snapped shut behind them. Hopefully they would make it home safe, but she had more important issues to deal with.
The biggest one being getting out of this detestable castle.
She felt herself being shrunken down, back into her imp self. She then flew over to the door of the chamber,
"Oh, why must you have let them return, Twili?" said a voice that appeared behind her. She turned around slowly, crossing her arms,
"You always seem to come around at the times you're least wanted,"
"It's a gift," Dark Link said, looking proud, "You still haven't answered the question though,"
"I can do what I want to, that's why. I didn't see you trying to stop me." She shot back. He shrugged,
"Call it mere curiosity." She sighed, bored,
"Well, I'd say it was fantastic seeing you again, but I would be lying. See ya later," She flew over to the door, done with this place,
"Oh, I don't think you'll be leaving just yet," Dark Link replied,
"You going to try to beat me up like you've done with Link? Good luck with that," Midna said, smirking and crossing her arms. Dark Link raised his eyebrows at her, clearly surprised at her confidence. He stepped forward, grinning,
"I don't need luck, imp. You're the one who will if you think a mere fool like yourself will be able to withstand me," His blood-red eyes seemed to brighten as he looked down at her,
"You're so full of yourself," Midna replied simply.
Dark Link said nothing more, but ran at her. Midna threw her hand at the ground, which opened up a portal in the ground. She smirked as she dematerialized right as he would have reached her. He scrambled to a stop. She then came out of another portal behind him. She put her hands on her hips and looked at him like she had never seen a more stupid person,
"Why the heck are you going that way? Are you blind or something? A bad sense of direction?" She asked, shaking her head. He turned and came for her. She zoomed up into the air, crossing her legs and putting her hands behind her head, "That didn't seem to work any better the second time. Want to try again? Who knows, you might have better odds this time," She called down to him, chuckling,
"This just proves your weakness! You could never beat me if you stayed on the ground!" Dark Link replied, aggrivated.
Midna was done dealing with this lunatic.
She slowly floated down to the ground, landing softly a few feet from him. They stared at each other soberly for a long moment, a tense quiet filling the room.
Then, her hair shot out as a huge fist and slammed into the demon, sending him across the room and smashing into the far wall. She felt herself changing into her true self again. She walked towards him.
He looked up weakly, looking surprised,
"Woah..."He said. She almost smirked, but she remained straight-faced. He then seemed to look at her again, "Wow, you're hot for a Twili," She couldn't help her eyes widening.
Gross.
She shook it off,
"How about you double-check your facts before you go taunting the Twilight Queen, filth. See ya later! Or, I guess I should say, you better hope I see you never," She gave him a dry smile, then turned and walked out the door, effortlessly turning into an imp as she entered the corridor and zooming back through the castle.
A guard turned the corner, and her hair shot forward, picking him up and throwing him over her shoulder. She heard a loud thump as he hit the ground, but she couldn't care less.
The effects of the Dark castle was starting to get to her. Her breaths were a bit labored, and the air seemed to press in around her. She couldn't get back to the gate fast enough.
But, eventually she did make it back.
She stopped immediately. She looked up at the grotesque gate for a moment before shooting energy at it. It wavered, but the wall between realms remained solid. She put her hands close together and let the energy between them strengthened. She then shot it forward at the gate,
"It seems I was wrong. There is another power worth having, and now I have it,"

Zelda fell forward, landing on the hard ground. Link's hands flew down and hit the ground on either side of her, and he stopped himself from landing on her. She took a deep breath.
Link sat next to her and ran a hand through his exposed hair before reaching over and grabbing his fallen cap.
At first, neither of them noticed how quiet Hyrule field was. It didn't seem out of the ordinary.
Except that a battle was raging the last time they were there.
Zelda looked around, shocked silent.
Bodies layed scattered across the ground, both soldiers and monsters. The crumpled grass looked charred in places, and huge birds were picking at several corpses,
"How long were we gone?" She asked quietly. Link followed her gaze, tensing up. He didn't reply.
Suddenly, he was up and running towards the town, faster than she knew he could. The hero, and now king, in him was coming out. She stood slowly, looking after him.
She saw him skid to a stop,
"Oh, right," she heard from there. She chuckled. He ran back to her, "It might help to have you with me," He said with a smile and a wink, as he took her hand and they set off towards their people, hoping that everything wasn't as bad as it seemed.
