Warning: Pretty sad here, so don't come here if you love Glorybringer(like me!) unless you completely despise it!
Glory watched as Darkstalker talked to Moon about leaving to the old NightWing kingdom with him.
She heard a rustle in the leaves behind her and whipped her head around.
Is someone there? Holy guacamole, WHERE IS DEATHBRINGER??!!!
Then, a dark blue dragon fell down. "Tsunami?" She asked, squinting at the SeaWing. "What are you doing here?"
"I don't have time to explain." She said and handed Glory two earrings. They looked ugly.
"But wear one. Give one to Deathbringer too. I think he might be able to help us." She looked back at Darkstalker.
"What?" Glory asked, confused. "Look I don't have time alright?!" Tsunami whispered-shouted. "Just wear one and then give one to that bodyguard of yours! Bye!"
The SeaWing princess jumped back into the trees and flew away.
Glory looked down at the earrings. What kind of dragon would choose to wear something so ugly? It couldn't have been Tsunami, she would have made it shiny.
Should I try it on? I don't know, Tsunami said I should. But it looks sooooo ugly!
Glory sighed and attached the earring onto her ear. Never in her life has she felt so ugly.
Not only did she feel ugly, she felt....different. She turned her back to Darkstalker as he leaped away into the sky.
Hold on...AHH THATS IT!! WHY WOULD JUST LET DARKSTALKER TO JUST TAKE SOME OF MY DRAGONS??!! AUGGH YOU FROG-EATING-SLOTH-HEAD!!
"Deathbringer!" She shouted. A moment later, Deathbringer dropped down from the sky.
"What is it? What happened? Are you hurt?" He started rambling on. Glory held up a talon to shush him.
"Wear this, and hurry up!" She shouted and shoved the other earring into his talons. He gave her a skeptical look and put the earring on.
He looked at her wide-eyed a second later. "Glory! Darkstalker just flew off wit-"
"I know," she said, interrupting him. "And we need to stop him, or, try to anyway."
Deathbringer didn't waste a second and took off into the sky.
"W-wait! Deathbringer get back here!! You're going to die!" She called at him and opened her wings to follow.
Deathbringer was calling out Darkstalker's name. The giant NightWing slowly turned his head around.
"Want to join us?" He asked, casually. Deathbringer gave him a glare.
"You put a spell on me! And Glory! And I bet you did on all these other dragons!!" He shouted, voice full of anger.
Darkstalker gave a bark of laughter. "Why would I do that? It wouldn't be nice to put spells on my new subjects, now would it?" He asked.
Deathbringer flew lightning speed at the large NightWing. Darkstalker smirked and reached out a talon.
Glory watched in horror as Darkstalker slashed a single claw through Deathbringer's neck.
The NightWing assassin fell out of the sky, blood spilling out of his wound. Glory zipped down and caught him before he could fall, but he was too heavy.
Glory opened her wings more to catch some wind. It worked, but the two plummeted down and hit the group. She closed her eyes, and held Deathbringer tighter.
Glory slowly opened her eyes right eye, peeking at Deathbringer. He was breathing slightly. Glory opened her other eye and sat up.
Deathbringer's blood had spilled on her neck. But she didn't care. She didn't care that her body was full of bruises and cuts. All she cared about right now was Deathbringer.
Deathbringer slowly opened his eyes and looked up at Glory. His breathing became less frequent and more ragged. He reached a talon up and brushed Glory's cheek.
She held onto it and kept it there, soaking it in her waterfall of tears. "Deathbringer..." She whispered.
She bent down, looking at the NightWing. She cried harder when she saw loads of blood covering her bodyguard.
Glory placed her head on Deathbringer's chest, hoping to find a heartbeat. She heard one, not so strong. And it started going slowly the more she listened.
"Glory..." Deathbringer croaked. Glory jolted her head up when she all she could hear was a quiet, soft heartbeat. She felt his talon, slowly falling and placed her own back onto his chest
"Glory...I.....love you." He said. And then she didn't feel anything under her talon. She felt nothing. Glory quickly put her head there. Nothing. She heard absolutely nothing.
She cried. Oh, she cried. Tears splashed onto the now dead Deathbringer.
She grabbed his talons and squeezed it with hers. They felt so...light. So lifeless.
"Glory? Oh no..Glory." She heard her brother, Jambu, whisper. She shook her head.
"It was bound to happen one day." She whispered. "Just not today. It shouldn't have been today. No, it should not."
She started shaking her bodyguard. "Wake up you dummy! You don't just die after you say you love me! You don't-that's not what you're supposed to do! Come on, now is not the time to play this stupid prank!"
She knew it was hopeless. But she had to at least try, right? Deathbringer still didn't respond, though.
She carefully placed him back down. And felt Jambu place a wing around her.
The same place where Deathbringer did.
The same way that Deathbringer did.
That Deathbringer did.
Why?
Why, why, why?
Why him?
She wrapped her wings around her and cried. She felt other dragons stare at her. Some with sorriness, some with concern, some with confused looks, and a few with I-can-tell-this-is-going-to-go-on-for-some-time looks.
She opened her eyes to look at Deathbringer again.
"I love you too, but who said that you could just leave me alone like that?"
