Winter hating being dragged from a place to another place. And guess what? He was getting dragged by Kinkajou from Sanctuary to Jade Mountain.

"But Kinkajou! I need to take care of the scavengers!" Winter whined. "Your friend Seagill can take care of them!" Kinkajou snapped back.

"Seagull. And also, he can't even look at a scavenger without frustration! All the scavengers are so scared of him!!"

"Too bad for them then!"

"Hey! You're catching more scavengers for me when I get back and find them all dead!"

"Augh, alright fine!"

Kinkajou was dragging Winter back because, apparently, everyone from his winglet missed his 'attitude' and missed their fun together. Winter also missed them, they were his best friends. They were his family.

"Ok no need to drag me anymore! I'll come!" Winter said as he tried to shake Kinkajou's claws off of his tail. The little RainWing smiled at him and took off, flying towards Jade Mountain.

Maybe I can apologize to Moon for all the times I've been mean to her. That'll be a little awkward now, we haven't talked since our fight in the Old NightWing Kingdom. That was months ago, will she still think of me as a friend?

Winter and Kinkajou had finally reached Jade Mountain. "Moon! Turtle! Peril! Qibli!! I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY OBTAINED WINTER!!! HE'S HERE NOW!!" Kinkajou shouted as she ran down the tunnel, dragging Winter with her, again.

The two reached their Winglet Cave, where the rest of his friends were in. "Oh hey Igloo-Face!" Qibli called, running up to Winter and giving him a hug. Without hesitation, Winter hugged back, which seemed to startle the SandWing because he flinched at the touch.

"Hey, you guys are missing out on Jade Winglet Group Hug Action!" Kinkajou called as she joined their hug. Turtle also came over and joined in, with Peril following. She touched Winter and...he didn't burn to ashes.

"Oh, if you're wondering why your not dead right now, it's because Turtle enchanting a bracelet for me to turn on and off my firescales." Peril said.

Now, everyone was in the group hug, well, except for Moon. She just stared at them, with a frown. After a moment, everyone let go of Winter because he was suffocating in the hugs of his family.

"Winter." Moon called. That was all it took. All it took was his name being called by his one true love. His true love that he will never, ever be together with. Winter turned his attention to Moon, and his face fell as he saw the serious face she had on.

"Can I talk to you alone?" The two said in unison. "Yeah sure." They said again.

Everyone left the cave, leaving Winter and Moon to talk alone. They stood in an awkward silence. Finally, Moon broke it by saying, "I...didn't think you'd actually come." "And not be with my friends again after like, 5 months? No way!" Winter said with a smile.

Moon didn't smile back, instead, she turned her head to the side and looked down. "Something wrong?" Winter asked.

"How can you act so calm??!!" Moon suddenly cried. Winter flinched, did he say something? "Did...did I say something wrong?" Winter asked.

Moon suddenly jumped into Winter's arms and started crying. "I'm sorry!! I'm so sorry!! I know you were just trying to protect us and I lost it at you!! I-I'm SORRY!!" She cried.

Winter wrapped his wings around her. "Shhh. Shhh. It's okay, I was a little cruel when I said it. Don't worry, it's not your fault." Winter tried to sooth her, but Moon just cried harder.

By the time Winter was done, he was also crying. Moon calmed down a bit, but still had a few tears. "I-your- uh your um good at singing." Moon stuttered.

Winter smiled and pulled her closer to him. Moon started to close her eyes as she leaned into him. They kept quiet, the only noise heard was a few sobs, but Winter was almost certain he heard Moon say the words he never thought she would say to him: "I love you, Winter.
