A new beginning

Three years passed since then and everyday the three of you grew closer. But just as you began to think you couldnt live without them the head nun called you up out of bed and led you to her office. You were still rubbing the sleep from your eyes when you walked into her room and seen two people setting at her desk. The woman was beautiful she had long red hair and soft green eyes the light around her was a gentle blue that seemed to radiate with love. The man wore a grey suit with thinning black hair and dulling blue eyes. his green light was warm and calming, making you smile even as they stood up and moved over to you.

"Midnight, these people have adopted you and will take you home with them where you will find a new and brighter life." The nurse spoke to you and your eyes widened. the woman went to introduce herself to you but you shook your head and took a step back.

"What about seto and mokuba!" you exclaimed, not wanting to leave them.  but soon you were coerced to sitting down and talking to them for what seemed like forever. understanding that you had no choice now but to go they led you out of the room and to the front door. you just stopped there and didnt want to walk outside. turning around you heard your name being yelled

"Midnight!" Seto and mokuba came running up to you and wrapping their arms around you in hugs

"Don't go!" they yelled and you nearly broke down crying, stepping out of your arms you smiled softly to your friends and hold out your hand as you did three years ago. when they followed suit you finally spoke.

"I dont have a choice, i must go. but i swear I will never ever ever forget your guys." in tears they both nodded and spoke in unison

"I will never ever ever forget you." the love you hold for these boys brought tears to your eyes as you hugged them both for the last time.

"We have beat bullies, mean nuns, and ucky food. We lived here for years and we are still standing. I believe we will beat time itself too and all odds that will try and keep us apart." after you said that you kissed both boys on their cheaks and turned around to your new parents. taking carrie's hand you let her walk you to the car. and watched the orphanage until it was completely out of sight.

        Your dad slammed the latest news paper on the table with enough force your orange juice topples over and onto the floor. He was so mad his face was turning purple. rolling your eyes you look away -great just what i needed, my father finally reading the news paper after several months of Jeremy being MIA, both from dueling and the 8.- the thought of your boyfriend caused a pain in your chest you were worried about him and didn't even know if he was dead or alive after he went to New York to spread the 8 larger. There were lots of rival gangs in New York that could have gotten their hands on him so you didn't know if he was still alive. You were brought out of your thoughts by another loud sound of your dad slamming his fist against the table. "Midnight this is the last straw, I know you have been tangled up in one of the worse and fastest growing gangs in america. And since you wont tell the police who the ring leader is for all of these under aged punks that i now am forced to resort to drastic measures just to get you of the road to an early grave!" he yelled and you just brushed your hair from your eyes, it was Monday morning and you were expelled from school due to violence. you figured that was most of your father's anger so you decided to just let him rant. "Midnight, you have gone out of control. Carrie and i both think we should send you to your uncle's as he has suggested and see if a fresh start can reform you!" wait, my uncles? you questioned yourself before you stood up your heart pounding. "But he lives in japan!" you screamed.

Even after kicking and screaming in protests of how you weren't going to Domino city, here you were walking  off of the plane, it was weird hearing people speak japaneze as fluently as you could but you just shook your head, picked up your luggage and bumped through the crowd till you reach the doors to the airport. Seeing your uncle holding up a sign and making his way to you, his eyes narrowing in disaproval as he took in your appearence. Your long silver hair was up in a high pony tail then braided into mainy braids. your eyes were done in heavy black and blue eye liners and your top was a black baggy button up shirt left unbottoned to give view to your tight spandex halter top with the words bite me a crossed the chest, your pants were a loose black leather which matched your leather combat boots. nibbling on your lip ring you smirked at his disapproved. "Long time no see "Jack" you spoke his name with a bit of sarcassim and he caught it.

 "Midnight you've.. changed alot. i see why your parents are so worried about" you shrug with a sigh

 "What do you say about helping me with my luggage and us getting something to chow on, i'm starving."

Your uncle grabbed your luggage and walked outside after walking a few moments he turned to you, his eyes were a harsh green eyes. you could tell he was Carrie's brother but obviously the gentle nature skipped him. it had been several years since you stopped seeing the lights around everyone but you learned to be able to read people without it. "curious, are all of your clothes like what you are wearing daffodil?"

stopping as well you roll your eyes at your uncle's old pet name for you and place your right hand upon your hip.

"what if they are old man?" you responded to him and he just nodded an okay, as he turned around you thought he was just going to keep walking to his car but he ended up throwing your luggage into the dumpster "What the hell man!" u screamed running to the dumpster, you were just about to climb in when you felt arms around your waist and was yanked away from it. you were kicking and cursing at your uncle the whole time he carried you to his car and dumped you into the passenger seat. He jumped into the drivers seat and sped off before you could even step outside of the door, causing you to slam the door shut again and sit there with your arms crossed. "What's the big idea?"

"Midnight, you were sent here for a new life and i will not have my neice strolling around like some gothic tramp. I am going to take you shopping for some new clothes and tomorrow we are going to get everything prepared for your first day of school, got it."

 "How about you just give me your cards and i go shopping?"

 "No way, you'll just buy more of what i just tossed out."

mumbling to yourself you say "Not likely most of those were one of a kind." unfolding your arms you realize you still had your shoulder bag and smiled moving it off of your shoulder and into your lap you wrap your arms around it and rub your cheak against it.

 "looks like i missed one" your uncle jack said and you shot him a glare.

 "You get rid of this one over my dead body!" you yelled at him and for a few moments you seen his green eyes soften.

 "I heard from my sister that you carry around your "Special" Items where ever you go."

 "Like you know what i carry around."

 "Lets just say, i hear you carry around three main things, a very old stuffed animal and your old boyfriend's duel disk and deck." you look at him as you run a hand over your shoulder back you then look down at it. "Dont worry Daffodil, i wont take that one. those things you will learn to let go of in time." closing your eyes you think that maybe your uncle isnt so bad after all. "Im sorry Jack." you spoke quietly as the car comes to a stop outside of the mall and got out shutting the door behind you. you thought you had seen him smile but you didnt want a lovey dovey moment.
