Confrontation

(Ok, we left off with two whole chapters in your eyes. let's catch up to the other two now and see what yesterday and brought them if you think i should do a set on jeremy do comment and let me know.)

*~*Yugi's POV*~*

The final bell rings and your friends were coming towards you. Your thoughts had been on this morning all day, you didnt even remember moving up to Midnight's room and yet you woke up right next to her. The image of her curled up as if clutching hold of something that wasnt visible to you. She looked so at peace laying there and for a change she held no rough and cold contortions to her features. Sweet and nearly innocent she was. Remembering how when you went to slide gently out of bed she had rolled over and latched hold of you in her sleep caused your cheeks to flush once again. You had wanted to stay as she whimpered when you finally managed to move. The pain in that one little sound tore you apart. Shaking your head you look to your friends with a nervous smile trying to hide all visible sign of what you had been thinking about.

"Hey yugs" joey and tristan say but tea had a look on her face as if she was trying to figure something out as she bent over getting a good look at you.

"Yugi, why have you been blushing all day hmm?"

"N.No reason tea" You say as you take a step back from her but joey had already managed to get behind you and he just places his hands on your shoulders.

"Did something happen lastnight between you and midnight?"

"No, nothing happened lastnight.."

"So this morning then"

Your cheaks heaten up and you glance around looking for an opening. With tristen to your right there was only left but something caught your eye. Behind Tea stood a blond in school uniform. You obviously didnt know him but something about him was familiar and the look he was showing your way was murderous. Noticing the look on your face your friends look in the same direction you were.

"What's with that guy?" joey asks no one in particular.

"Let's get going guys, Midnight is probably waiting."

Agreeing you walk from the school into the front yard. -I thought they were starting school tomorrow, so why was he here today.- Thinking of lastnight you remember Midnight standing by the window looking out at the City outside, the look on her face was serious but the sight in her eyes awe struck you. Her usual cold pale blue eyes were set upon the scene with almost excitement. She's ready to take on what ever comes her way so why is it that you feel so uncertain.

*~"Yugi believe in your friend, don't let doubts take root now"!~*

he's right of course but you just couldnt help but feel uneasy -this is her gang we are talking about how much can we do to help her with the coming storm?- you wondered as you continued to walk with your friends.

*~"Her old gang yugi, she has no ties to them any longer. I must say though, the more we get to know her the more i wonder if the gang that is here now has or hasnt lost their sence of reason"~*

-what could he mean by that? it was as if he was speaking in circles both agreeing and disagreeing. but he was right, it isnt her gang anymore she may have only been here a month but she has changed. You just had to keep believing in her-

Passing the park which you and midnight had spent your first afternoon together you heard crying as people were grouped together. "What's going on over there?" you ask stopping. Joey, tristan, and tea stop and look as well.

"Don't know, lets go check it out and find out" joey said before running over to them. He didnt have to tell you twice you ran after him followed by tristan and tea.
