Gratsu (and more) one shots

Road trip (Edo-Gratsu)

Gray Surge was standing outside of Edoals's Fairy Tail. He was wearing way too many layers of clothes for a sunny day in July. Natsu Dragion was going to pick him up for a road trip in just a minute, and-

There he was.

Natsu's easily recognized vehicle came down the road and Gray smiled. Always on time.

Gray and Natsu had always been friends. Since they were both shy, in different ways, they had found comfort in each other. Now, they were inseparable.

There was only one thing in the worlds Natsu cared as much about  as he cared about Gray- his car.

When Natsu got in a car, he became a different person. He went from shy and frightened, to rude and confident. It was an interesting thing to see for your first time, but Gray was used to it.

Natsu stopped the car and Gray got into the passenger seat. Natsu smiled widely at him as he fastened his seat belt.

"Where are we going first?" Gray asked.

"Wherever you want, Gray."

Gray thought for a little but then he knew where they were going.

"Just follow my instructions."

Natsu nodded and then they were going full speed. Gray smiled.

They talked about whatever came to mind: food, books, how scary Lucy was, and about that one time when Natsu found a spider in his car.

Then, suddenly, Natsu turned to Gray.

"Tell me, Gray, what's wrong?"

"Nothing I know about. Why?"

"You're not talking about Juvia every second of your life. Something is wrong."

"Juvia-chan..." Gray whispered.

Juvia was Gray's love. The girl of his dreams. She was cool, and sexy, and literally an angel.

But she hated Gray's annoying ass to death.

"I take that as 'nothing is wrong Natsu, I still love my Juvia-chan and our babies will be beautiful.'"

Gray blushed and turned to face the window and Natsu smiled. Things were normal.

They continued to follow the road to the mountains. None of them brought up Juvia again, which, with Gray being Gray, was odd. But then again, when were Gray and Natsu not odd?

After four hours on the road, it started to rain. Like, a lot. But Gray just smiled and told Natsu to turn to a side road.

Natsu parked the car and Gray hurried out.

Natsu got out of the car as well and rubbed his neck awkwardly. "You know this place, Gray."

Gray put am arm around Natsu and smiled. "Follow me."

Gray led Natsu to a small cave. "Here we are, Natsu. It's really nice in there."

"Uh, Gray, I know this sounds lame, but, uh, I'm scared of the dark. And uh, what if there are rats or bats or bugs in there? Or even worse-" Natsu gasped. "A bear."

Gray smiled. "I'll protect you."

Natsu smiled back and followed Gray into the cave. He was feeling a bit anxious, but with Gray's hand in his, it felt better.

"We're here!" Gray shouted, sounding more excited than ever. He took off one of his many coats *gasp* and put it down on the cave floor for them to sit on.

Natsu sat down carefully on the big coat Gray always wore. When he thought about it, he realised that he hadn't ever seen Gray without all those clothes. He kinda wanted Gray to take them all off.

Natsu blushed at that thought, and when he realised he was blushing he covered his face with his hands.

Gray saw this, and giggled.

"Gray... It's cold and dark. Why did you bring me here?"

"Guess."

"Uuuh..." Natsu said anxiously, "maybe we're here to get eaten by a big, bad wolf." (holy shit that almost turned into big bbqd wolf and I laughed my humour is bad)

Gray shook his head. Natsu covered his face again and Gray pat him on the back. 

Gray smiled and took off a second coat, and put it over Natsu's shoulders.

"Is it less cold now?"

Natsu nodded. He closed his eyes so that he wouldn't see the darkness, and leaned his head against Gray's shoulder. Gray smiled.

After a few minutes of silence, Gray poked Natsu.

"Natsu, you have to look now."

Natsu opened his eyes.

In front of him was a big, light blue crystal, and it was shining brightly. There was a crack in the wall, and right now, the light was shining through, hitting the crystal so that it lit up the cave.

"Gray, it's beautiful."

Gray smiled. "Just like you."

Natsu blushed and looked away from Gray. He mumbled something into the huge coat.

"What? I can't hear you."

Natsu looked up and spoke again. "But not as beautiful as you, Gray."

Gray leaned down a little, and looked deep into Natsu's eyes. Natsu blushed again but didn't turn away.

Then their lips collided. It was short and abrupt, and kinda awkward, but it was a kiss. And damn did Gray like it.

Natsu was speechless. "What about Juvia...Chan?"

Gray smiled. "To hell with her. She's a stupid bitch."

Natsu gasped a little at the vulgar language. "Gray, what, since when, I... Why me?

Before he could say anything else, Gray's lips were on his again, and he kissed back, not really sure what else to do.

"I've been waiting for this," Gray said.

"Same," Natsu mumbled awkwardly.

Gray looked out. "It doesn't rain as much anymore. Let's continue our trip, shall we?"
