Sans POVI shot up from my bed, looking around frantically with my left eye flickering blue and yellow. "No... No, No NO NO NO NO!!" I screamed. Tears slid quickly down my face, I was panting hard. This can't be happening, this isn't real!! I fell out of my bed and hit the cold, dead, floor. Papyrus bolted into the room.
"Sans, what's wrong!?" Papyrus kneeled next to me and made me sit up, putting his hand on my shoulder. I tried to stop shaking, I'd never shook this bad before.
I couldn't answer my brother, my throat was too tight I could barely breath. I covered my eye with my hand so it could stop glowing, but it just shown through my fingers, making unfriendly shadows cover my room.
"Sans?"
I shut my eyes and cried harder, but my magic found its way to keep shining through my eye. I just wanted this to end. I wanted to end. I swallowed back a some blood. The taste made me want to hurl it out again.
Papyrus hugged me tightly, "Sans, it's gonna be alright, okay?"
"O-okay," my voice quivered with grief.
No it's not.
Grillby POV
I woke up in the middle of the night, feeling uneasy. I thought I had a dream or nightmare, but I couldn't remember anything. I felt like it was important, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember it. I.. couldn't remember...
(Time Skip)
Sans POV
Papyrus had put me back in bed after I blacked out from the shock. He wasn't in the room, so I guessed he was making breakfast. I looked at the dark and empty room around me. It was devoid of color like me, dull and wasted. I've had enough. I sat up and got out my razor blade and swiped it against my arm, the blood quickly escaping out and onto the floor beside the bed. I winced, but cut deeper until both my arms were covered in the red liquid. It still wasn't enough. I could barely feel anything at all at this point, so I tried something else. I didn't want Papyrus to find out so I bandaged my arms to stop the blood from leaking through my sweater. Then I pulled down my sleeves and put the razor blade away. I couldn't do anything for the new red stain on the carpet, so I just ignored that. I sat back down and reached under my shirt to grab my soul.
Papyrus opened the room with tray in hands. "Hey, you're awake. Are you feeling okay?" I quickly got my hand out of my rib cage before he noticed. He closed the door behind him and walked to my bed, putting the tray down next to me.
"Yeah, I think so.." I lied.
He glanced at the stain on the ground. "That's new," he pointed at it. "What is that?"
"Ketchup," I lied again.
"Oh, okay." Papyrus dismissed the thought. "So I got you some tea." He sat on the bed.
"Thanks, Papy." Papyrus does so much for me, it broke me that I couldn't do more for him.
"No problem, Brother. I called Undyne and asked her if we could take the day off-"
"We?" I questioned.
"Yeah, I want to take care of you and make sure you actually rest, Sans. I've never seen you this bad."
A thought came to mind. Maybe I can save both of us-
"But Undyne said that it was a one time thing, so I can't do this again, Sans," Papyrus warned. Welp, there goes my plan.
