Sans POV

"Wanna watch a movie?" I asked Grillby after checking if there'd be a break from the storm. There wasn't one.

"Sure, what did you have in mind?" The flame monster replied, taking the remote and turning on the T.V.

"Mm... horror?" I suggested, a smirk on my face. I wanna find out if he can get scared easily.

Grillby looked at me with humor in his eyes, "are you challenging me?"

"Maybe.." I said, my smile growing bigger. "if you can handle it."

He chuckled. "You're on! What about this one?" He picked up a movie and showed it to me.

"Murder in the Shadows? Seen it, we need one we both haven't seen." I picked another one I thought looked interesting. "Have you seen this one?"

Grillby stared at it, "The Painful Truth? No, you wanna watch it?"

"Sure" I gave the movie to Grillby to set it up, then went back into the kitchen to get popcorn.

I went around the room and gathered candy and grabbed a beer pack, and when the popcorn was ready, I walked back to the room and saw Grillby sitting on the floor against the wall with a bunch of blankets and pillows with him.

I smiled brighter and turned all the lights off and sat down next to him. He put his arm around me and pressed play on the remote. I blushed by being so close to him, but I was happy. Finally happy.

Grillby POV

Of course, there had to be a gay sex scene in the movie...

I felt Sans tense up next to me when they started kissing, knowing what was gonna happen next, and I asked, "do you want me to skip this part?"

He blushed as he answered, "nah, its fine." He avoided eye contact with me and fiddled with the edges of his sleeves nervously.

I glanced back at the T.V and felt my face heat up as the dominant one in the movie slipped his hand under the other ones pants, the submissive one taking shaky breaths, drooling a bit. Sans squirmed next to me slightly, blushing even harder. I could tell what he was thinking about. I lifted him into my lap.

Sans gave a little squeak of surprise, but didn't question. He grabbed my hands and kept them in front of his chest, leaning his head on one of my arms. He looked so cute.

Once the movie ended, Sans leaned back until he was laying on my chest and closed his eyes. Though it was only mid-day, Sans seemed really worn out. I turned the T.V off and stood up and stumbled to the bed with him in my arms, his legs and arms wrapped around me and his head resting on my shoulder. I laid him down onto the bed and sat next to him.

He opened an eye and asked me drowsily, "did I win?" a little sly smile creeping onto his face.

I smiled back, a tint of humor in my voice, "noo,~ I lasted through it, too."

"Aw man.. I'll pick a scarier one next time." He closed his eye and hugged my side, enjoying my warmth. I snuggled next to him and hugged him back and started daydreaming.

I really hope this relationship lasts.

Sans POV

I woke up to Grillbys and my arms around each other, our legs intertwined. Immediately a dark blue blush spread across my face, and I tried to scramble out of the embrace without disturbing him. But Grillby woke up almost immediately.

"Sans?" Grillby asked groggily.

"I-I'm awake." I glanced up at him, still tangled up with him.

Grillby noticed our dilemma and quickly untangled himself with me.

"S-sorry." He blushed.

"It's okay," I answered. A moment of silence passed before my phone started ringing. Grillby handed the phone to me from the bed stand and got out of bed to clean up the mess.

It was Papyrus. Obviously.

"Hi, Sans. How's your injury?" He sounded tense.

"Hey, Pap. My wound's healing fine, no need to worry." Papyrus let out a relieved sigh.

"Okay, that's good. Did you tell Grillby yet?" I glanced over at the fire elemental to see if he heard. He didn't seem to.

"..yeah."

Papyrus gasped. "What did he say?"

I felt uncomfortable talking about it with Grillby in the room, so I waited till he took the blankets into the laundry room. "He said the same thing."

Grillby came back into the room.

I had to hold the phone away from me again. "OH MY GOD SANS THAT'S GREAT!! AAAH I SHIP YOU TWO SO MUCH!! WHEN ARE YOU HAVING A KID? I WANNA BE AN UNCLE! I CAN'T WAIT TO INFORM UNDYNE AND ALPHYS ABOUT THIS!!!" I dropped the phone and covered my completely blue face with my hand when he started mentioning kids, while Grillby tried his hardest to not laugh his ass off. Papyrus kept going with his ramblings as I peeked through my fingers, glancing at Grillby. He sat next to me and listened to Papyrus's remarks, snickering at some of them. He looks so cute when he laughs. I snuggled close to Grillby, wrapping my arms around his torso as he picked up the phone.

Papyrus finally stopped rambling and calmed down. "Sans?"

"Yeah, Pap?"

"...I miss you."

It struck my soul with sadness when he said those words.

"I miss you too, bro." I hesitated. "But my aim's gettin better!" Grillby snickered.

"Agh, Sans!! A pun? Now!?" He started rambling again as Grillby laughed harder.

Once he stopped again we said our goodbyes and ended the call.

I couldn't sleep. To many thoughts were bombarding my mind. I've tried to ignore all of them by distracting myself, but.. they kept coming back since I first thought of it. The day after the movie, I was struck with a theory. What if the storm was my fault? It made sense. It wasn't in my code to fall in love with Grillby, but it happened. I was different from the other characters in the game. I was completely aware of the resets. That means something glitched the game, glitching me. Making me go through this torture of restarting my life, just a couple days before my death.

But then why hasn't the kid reset already? It confused me so much. I tried to think of a reason. Are they still going through the harsh weather? Waterfall was having a rainstorm, and Hotlands was having a drought. Wherever you lived, you couldn't go outside. I doubted the kid could go that far, but their determination probably guided them. If they made it to Hotlands, they wouldn't be able to breath properly because of the heat. Why would they want to go through that torture, just to get to the end?

All these questions drained me out, and it hurt my soul. I got out of bed and staggered to the kitchen, hoping to find something that would distract me from the pain. But I couldn't find anything. I didn't want to wake up Grillby for anything, and I didn't want to drink it off, it was too early in the morning for that.

I felt light headed as my soul hurt more, and my bones ached the more I was alone with my thoughts. I walked over to the sink and coughed up blood again, a feeling of distortion in my stomach. The pain got overwhelming, I started shaking.

Everything was a blur from there.
