Sans POVI flopped onto the couch and took a sip of my ketchup. It was good to be home. Grillby sat next to me and Papyrus sat next to him. I hugged Grillby's arm and leaned on him.
"So, Grillby," said Papyrus, "I've never had the chance to talk to you and I have been very curious because Sans has never liked someone as much as you, so, first question. How old are you?"
"I'm 27 years old.." Grillby stated. He looked a bit nervous, but he was going to be fine. Papyrus doesn't ask any hard questions.
"Cool! Okay, second question..." Papyrus kept asking questions and they sometimes got off track, but I could see Grillby was enjoying the conversation. It got kinda boring from there, so I drifted off to sleep, still laying on Grillby's arm.

Grillby POV
As I got to know Papyrus better, I found out that he was very innocent and energetic, almost the opposite of Sans. He also told me when Sans fell asleep that he hadn't been this happy in a long time. That made me happy but worried at the same time. I already knew this but if Papyrus could sense it, then he was worse than I thought. I tried not thinking about it and we decided to just watch the news that Papyrus recorded from this morning.
They said that the human had made it all the way to the castle and had murdered the king in cold blood. There was a recording too, and it gave me shivers. Sans jumped up when he heard the slash.
"W-what the fuck!?" Sans looked just as horrified as me. Papyrus had watched this before so he wasn't as shaken as us.
"L-language, Sans.." his voice trembled.
"S-sorry, bro. I was just s-startled." Sans flinched as Asgore turned to dust. The human took his soul, looked at the camera, then shattered it with their bare hands, giving us a menacing grin as they walked out of the camera's sight. I felt like I was gonna puke.
Papyrus turned the T.V off, then walked up to his room. "I-I'll be back later."
Once Papyrus closed the door I turned to Sans. "You had to live with this?"
"Well, no. I died in Judgement Hall, a little before King Asgore. But I had to watch a lot of other people die," Sans said slowly, trembling a little.
I hugged him, trying to make him a little more comfortable before asking. "D-did I die too?"
Sans thought hard. "I.. actually don't know. If you did then I didn't see you.
That's good. I don't want him to see me like that.

Sans POV
Grillby helped Papyrus with dinner, and he taught him some awesome tips. Like how to not burn the spaghetti. Then after dinner we played Super Smash Bros. Oh how I missed it.
"Hey, Grillby. Don't get so burned out, it's just a video game."
"Sans," Grillby growled, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"Sans don't you dare!" Papyrus warned.
I chuckled. Oh I dared. "Oh come on guys, why so fired up?"
Grillby snickered.
"SAANS!! If you say one more pun I swear I WILL kill you."
"I'll help," Grillby offered.
"Aww, guys, lighten up a bit!" They teamed up in the game but I managed to kill both of them with my special attack.
Papyrus grumbled loudly, about to lose it. Since Papyrus had died a third time, he was out of the game. I smirked.
"Man, I'm on fire." I muttered, but loud enough for both of them to hear.
Papyrus finally lost it and started rambling on about how I even come up with them so quickly, walking up to his room. "Goodnight, Grillby. You can sleep over if you want." He closed his bedroom door.
I quickly killed Grillby for the third time, making me win the match.
Grillby sighed, leaning back onto the sofa. His flames settled down. "how are you so good at this?"
"I have a lot of extra time on my hands," I answered.
"Oh... sorry."
"It's fine. I'm okay," I answered.
"Ok." Grillby helped me put away the video game, then followed me up to my room. I opened the door to find everything organized and clean. "Papyrus must've cleaned up a bit.." I said. I glanced at the red stain on the ground from when I cut myself. I looked away, not wanting to revisit those memories. Grillby and I walked over to the bed and sat down, and he held my hand. I smiled and hugged him. He hugged back and laid down with me in his lap. I rested my head on his chest, feeling his heart beat steadily. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms crawled up his sides. His heart immediately started beating faster. I gave him a sly grin as he looked down at me.
I dragged myself up his body and kissed him slowly. Grillby slipped his tongue in my mouth, letting his hands slide under my shirt again. I was surprised but the sensation was overpowering. I conjured a tongue and followed his lead. He's so good at this.
I had to let go to catch my breath. Grillby looked tired, too. He smiled at me and hugged me again. I laid down next to him, resting my head on his chest again. Letting his heart beat drift me to sleep.

Grillby woke me up from a nightmare. I hadn't had one in a long time. He hugged me from behind and said that everything was going to be fine, it calmed me down. Everything about Grillby calmed me down. He saved my life, I owe the world to him.
"Thanks, Grillbz.." I mumbled, grateful for his presence.
We stayed like that for a long time, and for a moment I thought Grillby had fallen asleep. But then he shuffled nervously. I looked behind me to see if he was okay.
"Sans?"
"Yeah?"
"...I lo-"
