Valentine's day is coming up. What would be a good gift for "her"? Kaneki wondered while wearing his comfy pajamas, standing in front of his wide-open closet, looking at the white suit he had bought to wear when going out with Touka. "Yo!" A singsongy voice shouted. "You scared me again, Hide..." Kaneki muttered, feeling like he was not really the type who would be able to ask Touka out for our proper date. Maybe I should ask Hide about this! He thought, but when he was still trying to decide if he should or not, Hide, like usual, got what he was thinking. "You need help with Touka or something?" He asked abruptly, looking worried. "Y-yeah... I can't seem to figure out what she'd like for Valentine's day, since.. you know... I haven't dated a girl before. Besides, she's waaaaaaaaaaaay more pretty than all those weaklings fretting around in those alleys, looking for some other weak ones to come around the corner so that they can attack in, like, 5:1 or something, and I just can't do--" "Woah, man. Never seen you this way. Well.. if you really, truly like, or love her, then just be confident! I'm sure you know what she likes. It's gonna be okay." He said, grinning his usual reckless grin. "Besides, I can tell that Touka-chan likes you too." He said, and soon left the cafe.
"Was that your friend?" Touka asked Kaneki, looking at Hide as of he was a suspect of taking her into danger. Kaneki nodded, reading her expression but not able to detect why she was that way. His mind was about to explode from all kinds of thoughts about him getting in danger... or Touka. "Does he know you're a ghoul?" She asked, and Kaneki shook his head. At that, she muttered, "If he knows we're ghouls, I'll kill him. Just have that in mind."
*** (Touka's POV) "Touka! Are you going to come to the cherry blossom festival with me?" Yoriko asked, when Kaneki just stepped into the cafeteria. 'Dang! I wanted to go with Kaneki.. oh well I guess we'll all go together...' "Uhh... sure?" I replyed, and asked Yoriko, "But can Kaneki come with us?" At that, Yoriko didn't reply- but shouted, "Hey, Kaneki! Wanna come to the cherry blossom festival with me and Touka-chan?" She then slyly grinned and added, "Touka-chan will be there too, do you get it?" Which made Touka blush so hard while everyone was watching.
*** "Yay! Cotton candy!" Yoriko shouted and skittered to the snack bar. Kaneki had apparently brought a bunch of flowers, and they smelled nice. "So many cherry blossoms... do you want me to take a picture of you?" Kaneki asked, but she just said, "No, I'll take a picture of you- you're way more good-looking than me." So here it is:
