Readers Note: This happens about a few weeks after Kaneki had the nightmare.
---

"Could we take a day off? I'm tired now..." Touka asked Kaneki, her eye bags telling that she hadn't been getting enough sleep. Kaneki knew that she had been overloading herself, trying to study harder in order to approach her dream- a teacher. Kaneki didn't mean to eavesdrop, but he did hear the conversation of Touka and Mr. Yoshimura- she was afraid that her short-tempered self wasn't good enough to teach the kids. 'I really gotta help her rest...' he thought, searching his head for memories of how to help a person get some rest. Well, before Touka broke into his thoughts.

"Ken? Do you mind?" she asked, and he answered, "Sure, I'll stay with you. I mean, my books can give it a rest, and it's still mid-winter break." He settled next to Touka, who was resting on the couch, and pulled a blanket to cover their torso, legs and feet. She then rested her head on his shoulder, closing her navy blue eyes. He then finally got a chance to look at her face, so small and cute while her also blue hair was covering part of her face. She was looking tired but she seemed happy- there was a small smile on her face, after all. He then began to wonder- why does she always cover nearly half of her face with her hair when she's so pretty? He slowly lifted her hair, uncovering the part of her face that was always covered in her hair.

Perhaps Kaneki was just being weird about her face with his imagination and curiosities, but he didn't find anything unusual on her face, except a small mark near her left eye. He looked at it closely, but was confused at what this mark even was. Was it a bird or something? 'I guess I'll just go to sleep too', he thought, and drifted off to sleep.

Kaneki had woke up first and began to brew some caffeine-free chamomile tea, waiting for her to get up- it wasn't Touka's favorite drink (the first one was coffee, but the second one was chamomile tea), but she shouldn't be having something with a lot of caffeine at a time like this. It wasn't very long until she woke up, warming her hands with the rabbit mug that contained the tea. "Do you want to watch a movie?" Kaneki suggested, earning a 'mm-hmm' from her.

Kaneki was searching through his pile of DVDs he had bought after he read the books- it was just how he usually was, buying movie versions of books if they were good. What would be a good movie to look at with Touka, anyway? 'Touka surely wouldn't like dreamy, childish stuff...' Kaneki thought when he saw a DVD that caught his eye. 'This is it- The Black Goat's Egg.

Kaneki and Touka wrapped themselves in the blanket he had brought, and started the movie. The start was brutal and violent, but it was still a good movie- it made Touka happy to see a movie/book that finally would mirror reality.

"What do you want to do now?" Touka asked Kaneki, and he replyed,
"I want to just be with my beautiful girlfriend from fairy tales."
"I am not a girl or a queen in fairy tales, Kaneki."
"Well, that's different for me- you're always a queen in fairy tales in my eyes."
"UGH, YOU CHEESY BAKANEKI!!"

I have a question- if you are reading this- do you guys enjoy this fanfic but just don't comment, or is my fanfic just not good? (And yes I know this will be pretty bad cuz it's my first story.)
