Chapter 28

Last time

I held up the note to have it snatched from my hand. Jeff was reading the paper. He scrunched it in his hand dropped it and left the room. Sally sniffled and ran after him.

The house was enveloped in quiet. I went to my room.

Now

3rd POV (2 weeks after Vex disappeared)

Jack had started staying in Vex's room. He would just wait for her to come back. Everybody was worried but respected his space. Jeff knocked on the twilight blue door. He thought it was so similar to Jack's. There was no response, he tried the door knob. It was open? Jeff surveyed the room. It was just how she left it an organized mess. The dresser drawers were pulled out an empty, the bed was made and the window was open.

There was a form of a person on the bed. It was Jack he was sitting and facing the window. Jeff walked over to where Jack was sitting. Jeff sat on the bed next to him and sighed. Jack just kept staring at the window like she was going to pop in at any time now. The black stains that were on his mask before were now deepened and fresh. "I'm miss her to dude, but sitting in here won't bring her back faster. Come on I just robbed a new game. Come hang out with us." Jeff nudged Jack's arm.

Jack had his hands interwined with each other they tightened at Jeff's touch. He hadn't seen or touched another human for two weeks now, besides his kills. Jack relaxed after a few minutes and nodded,"Okay your right. I need to get my mind off of this. Lets go." he turned his head to Jeff smiling under his mask. Jeff smiled at his old friend and hit his back, his forever smile getting bigger.

"Race you down." Jeff ran out of the room. Jack ran after him, running to the living room. Jack was faster and beat Jeff. They both started to play the game Jeff had just got. BEN walked in a half hour later. His eyes widened at the sight of Jack in his usuaal spot playing video games with Jeff. "Jack your back! I thought you died. I missed you man." BEN exclaimed. He joined the game. They all played until Slender called them for dinner. "come on lets eat." Jeff paused the game and walked towards the kitchen.

"I'm actually going to go kill right now so..." Jack strode to the door and left.

Jack actually was going to the house of one of the people he was keeping under his thumb. He ran to the house and climbed in the window. There was a lanky boy at a desk with an array of laptops around him. He notices Jack and jumped obviously frightened out of his mind. "J-J-Jack your b-back so soon." He was shaking in his chair. Jack walked to the boy. Jack knew the boy was a shut-in computer tracker named Luke, also that he was a freshman in college. "Have you found what I want yet?" he questioned. Jack was forcing Luke to search for Vex.

"I did find one trace of her yes." Jack looked up from his scapel. "Where? Where is she?" Jack rushed over to the small boy. Luke only smushed further into his chair. Jack held up the scapel,"Tell me." his voice boomed through out the room. Luke popped to the keyboard typing as fast as he could. A green map showed on the screen, it zoomed around but stopped in Nevada. Luke zoomed in first to a to a town, then to a caffe. He did a close up on the people sitting out side.

He clicked past five people before stopping on a girl with a brown ponytail and sunglasses. She was wearing plaid hoodie with ripped booty shorts drinking a latte with another person at the table. Jack's heart stopped momentarily. It wasn't Vex. Jack growled and grabbed Luke around the neck with one hand. Luke gagged and gasped for breath. Jack lifted him from the chair and slammed him against the wall next to the desk. Luke clawed at Jack's gloved hand.

"I hate liars Luke." Jack said barely above a whisper. "I ... though..t...it .was..her." Luke choked on his words while trying to breath. Jack squeezed harder and harder until Luke stopped thrashing. Jack let him drop to the ground. Jack bent down to steal Luke's kidneys. He didn't bother to sew the hole back up. Jack felt disapointed and lonely, Luke had gotten his hopes. Jack ate the kidneys while sitting at the compter. He searched around for a while. Jack couldn't find anything. He slammed his fist on the desk. He flipped the desk and left out the window.

Jack walked back to the house. He opened the door and was greeted by a little girl jumping into his arms. "Jack" she screamed and cuddled into Jack's arms that held up her small body. She smiled, laughed and hugged him. Jack let Sally down, she grabbed one of his fingers and dragged him to her room. Sally wanted to play dollies with Jack. He happily obliged, Sally said all the names of the dolls accept for one. "What is the name of this one Sally?" Sally breath hitched for a moment.

"That dolls name is 'Her'." Sally said kinda sadly. Jack was confused he picked up the doll and inspected it more. The doll had a black ponytail and sunglasses. He removed the sunglasses, what he found had now clicked in his head. This doll represented Vex. The eyes had been blacked out to make it look like they weren't there. The doll wore a short black dress and no shoes. Jack placed the doll down gently like he could hurt it if he was to ruff with it. He heard Sally hicup and snifle. He saw that she was crying.

"Why Jack? Why did she leave? I miss... I miss...." She wipped at her eyes. Jack scopped her up and went over to her bed. He set her down and the bed and grabbed one of the books from her shelf. He began to read to her like old times. Soon Sally stopped crying and enjoyed the book before falling alseep. Jack put the book back. He watched Sally sleep he put the bottom of his mask on her forehead like he was kissing it.

He sighed and went to his own room to sleep.

Kinda sad but I thought it was good. School sarted on tuesday so I am fixing my sleeping times. I was thinking of doing one chapter and then a time skip to when Vex comes back. I wil figure it out so I hope you keep reading to find out if Jack and Vex end together.
