Teddy had never ran so fast in his life. He practically slid down the stairs, knocked over a crowd of first years, and ran straight through Nearly-Headless Nick when entering the Great Hall. He scanned desperately for his friends before running towards them. Blake saw him coming. "What's up with lover boy?" He asked Beau.
"Probably got another letter from Victoire saying she's coming to visit in two days, in which case, he's your problem." Beau told Blake who then continued by covering his face with a slice of toast, he was not up for what Marcus called, 'a man chat'.
Teddy reached the table and held up the Daily Prophet, dangling it in front of Beau's face. "Read... This..." He panted. Beau snatched it from his hands and read the front cover.
'DELANIA WEASLEY ON TRIAL TOMORROW FOR MURDER OF MUGGLE.'
Beau creased her eyebrows and Teddy looked down at her. "I'm going to see McGonagall, don't let Sirius or the twins see it." Beau had never ran so fast in her life. It was the second day back, must've been the Weasley/Black gene that meant trouble followed wherever they went. She was almost storming up the stairs to McGonagall's office, however, when she arrived Mcgonagall didn't look surprised in the slightest.
"Ah, Miss Weasley, take a seat." McGonagall sighed as she fiddled with a few quills on her desk, laying them out in order. "I assume that's the Daily Prophet?"
"Uh, yes, yes it is." Beau sat down on the navy blue sofa. "What's going on, Professor?"
McGonagall sighed and stood up, walking around the desk and sitting back down next to the girl. "There was a murder in Godric's Hollow, just before the end of August. They were looking through files of the dead and turns out it was a muggle."
Beau cocked her head to a side, still trying to make sense of it all. "But, what does this have to do with my mum?"
"The body was a muggle, found right outside the house your granddad lived in the same time he'd supposedly killed Peter Pettigrew." McGonagall stood up. "Best not to rush to conclusions, you know what the Ministry is like." McGonagall looked up at Beau and smiled solemnly. Beau left soon after trying to shake from her head what had just happened and what she'd seen. She thought about her dad and how her siblings would want and need to know sooner or later, but not yet.

"I mean, I don't get it." Beau was complaining to Gabrielle again. "How did they link her to the murder just because it was outside my grandad's old house?" She clutched onto her books tighter, they were on their way to Care of Magical Creatures, both of the girl's favourite subjects.
"Has anyone lived in it since?" Gabby asked, getting a sudden shake of the head from her friend. "So, creepy abandoned house with a dead muggle outside, fab. But why would your mum, possibly the smartest Gryffindor ever, leave a dead body outside a house?"
"Exactly, she's not that dumb even if she did murder someone. I think somebody at the Ministry has something against her and I want to know what." Beau almost tripped over a tree root as Gabby caught her and looked into her eyes, shaking her shoulders.
"And who for that matter."
They were interrupted by a loud cry of excitement and a shout from the top of the hill. Both girls turned and looked up to see Blake and Teddy, sliding down the muddy hill stood on their feet so it was as if they were snowboarding, this was a common occurrence. The two idiots slid past the girls as they saw Marcus trailing behind. "I told them not too." He shook his head in disgust.
"And you thought they'd listen?" Gabby laughed as she caught Marcus from falling onto his backside.
Marcus pointed at Gabby. "Your boyfriend is a nightmare."
Professor Grumbly-Plank, or better known to the girls as GP, was very amused when Teddy and Blake landed in a heap at his feet at the bottom of the hill. "Now, now you two." He watched as they both got up and Teddy winked as some of the girls who just stood staring at them. "Up and away."
Blake walked over to Gabby who straightened his tie for him. "Honestly, you two are idiots." Gabby laughed again.
Blake kissed her cheek as a small grin creeped up on his face. "You love me though."
"Debatable."
"Listen up Sixth Years!" Professor Grumbly-Plank shouted to calm the ruckus down. "Today we will be working with these funny little creatures behind me, grindylows." Behind him, Beau spotted a big water tank full of pale looking creatures with long fingers. "I want you to walk round the tank and inspect them carefully, take notes."
"Beau I'm with you." Blake grabbed her arm, he was miserably failing COMC and needed help, Beau was the class favourite. The two walked off leaving Teddy with Marcus and Gabby.
Walking around the tank, Beau spotted a very familiar pair of eyes, it was that Gryffindor boy from the Great Hall and he was looking straight back at her. She slid behind Blake. "What's going on, Beau?" He laughed at her as she hid behind his back.
"Gryffindor, boy, about five nine, two'o'clock." She whispered as he looked over.
Blake tutted. "Beau, you've never had a boyfriend, I get it." He looked down at her as she avoided his gaze. "But he likes you, girl."
Beau hit his arm. "Shush!"
"Talk to him!" Blake insisted, walking forwards and forcing Beau to go backwards.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Too late." Blake shoved her backwards and she fell into the boy. When she looked up, Blake was gone.
"I'm so sorry." Beau could definitely feel herself heating up, she then realised all his books were scattered on the floor. "Oh, Merlin let me help you."
The boy turned to her, suddenly realising who it was. "Oh-uh-hi." He was so cute. "Its fine, I've got it." Beau stood up and straightened out her skirt as he did the same with his trousers. They then both looked up and smiled at each other. "I'm Lucas, by the way. Sorry I was staring at you just then, and yesterday."
"It's fine, same. I'm Beau." She held her hand out to shake and he took it, but instead he kissed it, making Beau blush a bright shade of red. "Uhm, I've never seen you hear before." She carried on the conversation.
"My parents recently moved here from America, I joined this year with my cousin, Jolene." Lucas told her, he was so much taller than Beau, looking up at his bright blue eyes gave her neck ache.
"Jolene!" Beau's eyes widened as she realised who he was. "She's in my house, she's lovely."
"So are you." Lucas let slip. Beau looked up, blowing the hair out of her eyes and looking up at him. Lucas was one of those boys you wanted to snog as soon as you met them, Beau had never been in a situation like this before and so she stood there, dumbstruck, for at least a minute before he laughed at her.
"It was only a complement." He chuckled silently, rubbing the back of his neck and started to walk past her. Beau looked ahead with her eyes wide and saw Marcus and Gabby signalling frantically for her to go after him.
"Lucas! Wait!" Beau tripped and pushed him slightly as he quickly turned around and laughed at her.
"I wasn't going far." He chuckled as the girl collected herself and they continued to wander round the large tank.
The two of them chatted and carried on talking as they walked back up to the castle after the lesson had finished. "Are you going to be on the first trip to Hogsmeade next week?" Beau asked him, looking up and hoping he'd say-
"No." Lucas smiled sadly. "My dad said he didn't want me going, and Jolene's parents said no as well so we're just going to stay in the castle and study, but you have fun. I'll see you soon Beau." Beau only stood there as he disappeared round the corner.
Gabby walked up behind her. "Well, that was odd." She murmured as both girls kept their eyes firmly fixed on the corner. "You coming to watch practise?"
"I don't know, should I?" Beau sighed.
Gabrielle laughed. "Yes! Come on."
