Gabby and Beau walked behind the boys as they made their way down to the Lower Floor of the East Towers to the Library. Marcus was desperately trying to make sure Blake knew that he wasn't going crazy. "Honestly Blake, it's a brilliant piece of literature. Maybe that's why you wouldn't understand."
Beau laughed as she saw the twins loitering just outside the library. She rolled her eyes, "Rae, George, what are you doing here?" She asked her siblings pointlessly.
George started. "Well, we've just been banished from the library-"
"Because George let off a stink bomb." Raelyn finished.
"It was your idea." George elbowed her in the ribs.
"Whatever, I don't care." Beau dismissed them as she entered the library with her friends.
Marcus led the three of them to a table and sat them down before wandering off to go and find a book he'd reassured them would be very important. By the time he arrived back, Blake was asleep on the table and the girls were impatiently tapping their fingers on the desk.
"Honestly," Marcus whispered under his breath as he reached the table and slammed the book on the desk causing the girls' heads to whip up, but Blake didn't move a muscle. "Wakey wakey, Blake."
Gabby rolled her eyes. "Blake, it's dinner time." She ruffled his head and he shot up looking at her with his eyes beaming.
"I thought you said it was dinner." Blake trailed off as he looked around and saw, to his dismay, they were still in the library.
"We just had dinner, Blake." Gabby slapped the back of his head and he rubbed it, looking hurt.
"Kiss it better." Blake asked his girlfriend with a squeaky voice.
"Piss off."
Marcus sat down next to Beau, opposite the other two. "This is what I was looking for." He showed his friends the front cover and Beau leaned in closer.
"'The Unforgivable Curses'. Shouldn't this be in the restricted section?" She questioned him.
Marcus only tapped the side of his nose. "They're illegal, yes, they're actually not taught in schools anymore unless you're training as an Auror, which is why I'm wondering how this has happened."
"How what has happened?" Blake asked him.
"Teddy's under the Imperius curse." Marcus stated and the other three would've laughed if they hadn't been in the library.
"And did you just assume this, genius?" Gabby retorted.
Marcus shook his head. "Nope, look," he pointed to the book and read it aloud. "'When cast successfully, the curse places the victim completely under the caster's control, though a person with exceptional strength of will can resist it'."
Beau nodded. "Which would make sense, seeing as Teddy has absolutely no will whatsoever." She commented.
"But how is he under this curse then, if no one in the school knows how to cast it?" Blake asked again. "And none of the teachers in this school are that bad."
They all thought for a second before Gabby leaned in. "Do they teach it in America?"
Marcus furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't know they might do-"
"It was Jolene." Beau stated and Marcus turned to her, absolutely shocked.
"Well, hang on a minute, Beau-"
"No it makes sense," she started to explain. "The first day she met me she seemed really friendly, then as she saw that I was so close to you guys she began to act weird, and then the other day she claimed to be best buddies with the four of you having spoke to you only, what? Three maybe four times?"
"But why?" Blake asked, unsure.
"I don't know but we'll find out." Beau stood up and was walking away when Gabby stopped her.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to find out if I can brew Veritaserum." She turned back to them before leaving all together. Marcus, Gabby and Blake looked at each other with blank and concerned faces before all at once, following her out the door.

Thankfully, there was nobody in the potions classroom so the four of them had just walked right in. Marcus had protested against Beau's idea, it was technically illegal and they could get sent to Azkaban but it wouldn't be half as bad as what they thought Jolene had done.
Several hours past and Beau had finally finished.
"You're mad." Marcus reiterated for the forty-third time.
Blake also shook his head. "I hate to say it, Beau, but I'm with Marcus this time."
Beau looked over at Gabby who smiled. "I think it'll work." Gabby told her and the girls stood up and went to walk towards the door.
"What if it doesn't?" Blake stopped them just as they reached it. "Beau, you could be expelled!"
Beau let out a long sigh. "I know."
"You know what?" A voice came from behind the girls and they spun around to see Teddy standing there with Jolene just behind him. It was Jolene that'd spoken. "What do you know?"
Beau stared her straight in the eyes. "That you're a liar. That you've manipulated Teddy."
"Beau, you don't know what you talking about." Teddy stepped forward and towered above her.
"Did she tell you to say that?" Beau spat up at him, she could see it in his eyes, Marcus was definitely right. "She's put you under the Imperius Curse, Ted."
"Wait, what?" Jolene now joined Teddy and stood right next to Beau, all six teenagers were now stood in the dungeons, blocking the hallway completely.
"What else are you hiding, huh?" Beau pushed her shoulder and Jolene took a step backwards. "I wonder Jo, you don't happen to know anything about where this obscurus has come from, do you?" Gabby and Blake had to pull her back, they knew she'd gone too far, and she hadn't even used to veritaserum yet.
Just as Jolene was about to confront her, a bunch of student came running through the group, forcing them apart. They were First Years. Beau spotted Sirius in the crowd and grabbed his robe; "What's going on?" She asked as Sirius looked eager to follow his classmates.
"There's been another obscurus attack." Sirius stated as he began run off.
"Where?" Beau shouted after him.
"Hagrid's Hut."
