Christmas Day came quicker than Teddy thought it would. He and Beau had spent three days talking, laughing, shopping and helping Fred with the joke shop which was largely appreciated. As well as this Beau had sat with her Grandmother and talked for hours and hours on end, Molly Weasley had many grandchildren but Beau was secretly her favourite.
Anyway, Teddy woke early and looked over his top bunk to see Beau awake as well on the bottom bunk. "Merry Christmas, sis."
She smiled tiredly. "Merry Christmas, Ted." They both stretched their arms as the noise of the younger siblings stampeding down the stairs echoed in their ears. "Shall we follow them?" Before she'd even finished the sentence Teddy had jumped from the top bunk and onto the floor, pulled her off the bed and was dragging her down the stairs by the wrist. Sure enough, when the reached then lounge George, Raelyn and Sirius were sorting out the presents and putting them into piles for each person.
"Which one's mine, the biggest?" Teddy was as excited for this Christmas as he'd been when he was five, pointing at the big pile and putting his finger right in front of Raelyn's face.
Raelyn rolled her eyes. "Shove it, Teds." She batted his hand away and laughed as they all got into a circle.
"Are we opening presents already?" Grandma Molly was hobbling down the stairs, Arthur behind her. Beau jumped up and hugged each of her grandparents as they sat on the sofa and Sirius handed them their own presents of which there were only a few.
"Merry Christmas." Beau said as she spotted her parents also making their way downstairs.
"You guys are eager." Fred said as he sat on 'his chair' behind George and ruffling his son's hair. "Who's going first?" Sirius stuck his hand in the air and opened his gift from his parents; The Tales of Beedle Bard. Sirius had been borrowing Beau's since he was a toddler and she was fed up, thank Merlin he had one of his own now. Raelyn and George's gifts had clearly been left up to Fred to buy as they both got a box of fireworks and dung bombs with other assorted sweets that weren't the kind you'd like to eat.
Delania was very excited for Beau to open her gift. It was a small, red velvet box and as Beau. opened it she could. see it was a shining silver locket with the initials S+R carved onto it. "I was given this the Christmas I was seventeen." Delania explained to her daughter.
"What is it?" Beau asked.
"Open it and see."
Beau did open it. Inside was an old picture of her grandfather and Teddy's father. "Sirius and Remus." She smiled and nodded.
"And I added this one." Delania pointed to the other clasp side of the lock where she'd put an almost identical picture of Beau and Teddy the day they both found out they'd passed all of their OWL's, just.
Beau squeezed Teddy's arm. "Ted, look." She was smiling so big as she showed her best friend the picture.
"I love it." Teddy smiled gratefully and gave Delania a thumbs up, it'd been his idea.

Molly was sat outside with the Daily Prophet in her hand, the bench she'd bought Fred and Delania wasn't too comfortable but it suited her today. She grasped the paper in her hand and rolled it around under her frail fingers.
"Mum, what are you doing out here?" Fred shut the door behind him, his breath making clouds as he perched down next to her. "You'll freeze, it's Christmas Day everyone's inside."
"I know." Molly just smiled and turned to her son, she saw George in his eyes. "I know."
"What's bothering you?" He asked again, Molly only sighed as she opened the paper.
Fred read it aloud. "Another attack at Hogwarts. The obscurus?" He asked, she nodded.
"You'll be sending the children back, yes?" Molly asked.
"Of course we will be." Fred was shaking inside, there was something he wasn't being told.
"I've been in contact with Minerva McGonagall, they believe that despite there being an obscurus around there is a very talented and very powerful witch or wizard studying at Hogwarts currently." Molly explained as she told her whole body to face him and took his hands in hers. "They will be conducting tests when the students get back."
Molly gave her sons hands one more squeeze before standing up and walking to the door."Mum, what exactly would make this witch or wizard so powerful?" Fred questioned as he watched her freeze near the door.
"Well, they say that any wizard able to completely destroy an obscurus must have the power of resurgence." Molly said simply and Fred's eyes widened. "You didn't tell Delania, did you?"
"About what?" Fred asked, fiddling with his thumbs now.
"About what Beau did, with the bird in the garden years ago." Molly narrowed her eyes and Fred said nothing. "Good, she's in danger Fred. Your daughter could be what they're looking for."
"But she could also be what this obscurus is looking for as well." Fred looked up as the door opened quickly as Beau appeared.
"You both okay, it's bloody freezing out here." Beau shivered and Molly rubbed her shoulder.
"We're fine, love." Fred reassured her. However he himself did not want his daughter to go back to Hogwarts.
