Maddie’s p.o.v
By the time our car pulled up to the parking spot there were two other cars there already. I went to open my door and jump out but someone beat me to it. My door opened as I was about to push it open and Zayn was standing behind it smiling. He is such a gentleman.
“Aww thanks.” I said blushing as he closed the car door behind me.
“You’re welcome babe.” He said giving me a quick kiss on the cheek which instantly turned them a rosy colour and brought a grin on his face.
“What?” I said punching him on the arm in a joking manner.
“Nothing. I just find it cute how you still blush every time I kiss you.” He said and I blushed... again. I really need to work on the whole blushing every time he does something cute.
“Shall we go catch up with the others.”
“After you.” He replied interlocking our finger together. We walked over to the area under the tarp looking thing or whatever the hell it is.
“Take your time princesses.” Louis says with a wink. I take a look around and notice 2 rather large tents and a small one arranged in a circle around the tarped area. In the middle of the tarp area were several picnic blankets and a pile of sticks, logs and firewood. There was a small table set up with food on it.
“Does anyone know what time it is?” Liam asked noticing that the sun was slowly disappearing behind the mountains.
“About half five.” I heard Ari reply. “So we should probably start dinner before it gets too dark. How does everyone feel about two minute noodles?”
After everyone had finished their noodles we were all sitting on the blankets with our bowls of custard. By now it was dark and we had the fire going. We were all rugged up in our jerseys, or jackets and jumpers as everyone else called them, jeans/trackies and wrapped in blankets. It was absolutely freezing and it was only Autumn or Fall as everyone else calls it.
“Maddie, truth or dare?” Liam asked me.
“What?” I asked very confused. “I didn’t know we were playing truth or dare.”
“We weren’t. I just decided to now.” He said with a cheeky grin.
“Alright the, truth.” I replied.
“What is your accent? It’s been killing me since we first talked. I honestly cannot put my finger on it.”
“I’m a kiwi bro.”I replied giggling to myself. “Alrighty, my turn now.”
We ended up playing truth or dare for an hour and a half. After that we all just sat talking about god knows what. I was sitting next to Zayn who had his arms around me in an attempt to warm me up, Dani was sitting next to Liam playing with is hair and being all cute, El was sitting on Louis’ lap and Ari was lying down with her head in Harry’s lap and her legs resting on Niall’s.
“WE SHOULD HAVE A CAMPFIRE SING-A-LONG!” Lou shouted making El jump a little bit.
“Geez, Lou, calm down.” She said.
“Does anyone have a guitar?” Harrys asked.
“I have one in my tent. I’ll go grab it.” Niall piped in. While we waited on Niall to bring the guitar back everyone just sat in silence staring at the fire. It was amazing. Whenever I looked at it, this feeling of total calmness fell over me.
