We make our way to the outdoor arena the boys will be playing at later today, Shawn tagging along with us and conversing himself in a conversation with Jonah and I on which Harry Potter movie is the best. All of us have a different answer and it's honestly pretty annoying. The third movies the best day by argue with me.
I look down at my shoes as we are still walking, bored at how long we've been walking to the arena. I get shoved since I wasn't paying attention and look up to see Daniel smirking at me, daring him to come catch me.
It's on.
I take off after him and chase him all the way to the opening doors of the venue. I run into him and we both come crashing down laughing.
"See this wasn't that bad and we beat the others to the doors" Daniel says laughing.
He picks himself up and holds out a hand for me, which I grab.
"Yeah you're right. Do you have some psychic abilities or something, knowing I wasn't bored?" I question laughing.
"Anyone could see that you were bored. I'd do anything to make my best friend happy," he smiles "don't tell Angie I said that" he states, a worried expression growing on his face. I roll my eyes at him.
"Don't worry I won't"
It takes a couple more minutes for the rest of the guys to arrive. I guess Daniel and I must've ran pretty fast. That or they're just walking really slow.
"Took you guys long enough" I huff opening one of the front doors for them to walk through, earning many thank yous on the way.
"Whoops sorry" Shawn says smiling at me. I feel myself blush a little. Zach walks through the door last and I close it. He stays behind me and we follow the others, staying back a little.
I look at him to already see that he's looking at me. We lock eyes for a split second and he quickly looks down, acting like his worn out shoes are the most incredible thing he's ever seen.
I take a moment to look at him. He looks tired. Dark circles could easily be seen under his eyes. He almost looks bored, as if he doesn't want to be here right now. His hair is all over the place, sticking out in all directions as well as being flat in some areas. You could tell that he didn't try to look presentable today.
"You okay?" I question feeling myself get worried.
"Yeah, I'm just ready to come back home. Feeling jet lagged isn't the best feeling in the world ya know" he shrugs taking a glance at me. I nod my head in agreement.
"Yeah there's always the negative of being tired but look at the positive, you're seeing the world and making thousands of people happy by coming to their country. Most seventeen year olds don't get to witness that experience." I say trying to lighten up the mood.
"I know what you mean but sometimes it's just too much and I feel like I need a break. A break from social media and everything so I don't have to worry about making my fans mad or anything." He looks at me for understanding which I nod at him even though I don't know what it feels like to have a large following and being a performer as your job. But I do know that everyone needs a break for mental reasons every once in a while. Your own well being is more important than trying to impress others. At least in my opinion it is.
"Let's catch up to them sound check starts soon" Zach says starting into a slow jog, letting me catch up to him. We both jog up to the others, out of breath a little.
