Hey, guys, I have an idea for my next story already!! I'm working the characters and have some thinking to do before I get to that.

Anyway, here you go.

Rage.

It pumped through her veins as thick as her blood fueling her strength, she wanted his blood to be spilled, and his limbs to be torn off and scattered around the field. Her eyes wide in a crazed furry as her body was shaking itching to attack, as her chest heaved with heavy breaths.  Her chakra was still whizzing around her body in a threatening manner as she hunched over like a beast waiting to pounce.

He had dared to touch someone that was important to her and injure them beyond repair. She was someone not to mess with, and he was going to learn that fast. She had this feeling that his consciousness was no longer there, but just a body that was possessed by overwhelming power.

He was laying on his back with a pile of dirt bunched up behind him from sliding along the ground with such force. His hand twitched as he started to stand and his head was bleeding with blood running down his face.

Miyaka's snarl broke through her lips making Emi twitch uncomfortably. Miyaka shot forward with a small barrier around each fist and sent him flying through the trees.

Emi watched nervously as she slowly stood and walked over to Kakuzu and Hidan and tapped Kakuzu's arm grabbing his attention away from Miyaka. "We have to get away from them.  This could become dangerous if we're too close."

Hidan glared at her from the corner of his eye. Miyaka was emitting an eerie chakra from her body making everyone one edge. "Why?" Kakuzu asked quietly.

"Her mind is so clouded by rage that if we stay she might mistake us for the enemy by mistake. I tried to connect to her mind but, her anger has built up a mental wall keeping me out."

"We'll just kill her then." Hidan spat at Emi.

She grasped his cloak pulling him down so his face was even with hers, "you think you can kill her when she has her powers at her peak?  She's turned into a beast because of the rage.  It's not Akuma causing it from within her this time, it's only her."  She pushed him back and walked away heading for Maki who was lying facedown.

Looking over her shoulder at Hidan and glared, "Remember when the two of you started a fight in the Akatsuki hideout? made a hole in the wall and destroyed most of the entranceway in front of it?  I won't be able to stop her this time."  Turning around she bent down throwing Maki's arm over her shoulder and stood with his limp body hanging off hers and gave her Sensei an anxious look.

Standing she started to walk in the opposite direction away from the fighting.  Kakuzu looked back a Miyaka before turning away and following hauling Hidan along by his cloak making him spit profanities at him.

Miyaka was still watching the tree line waiting for him to emerge.  He staggered out of the trees as he wiped the blood that was coming out of the side of his mouth. Walking closer to her she noticed a dark purple barrier go around his skin just like what she could do.

He ran at her with extreme speed until he was right at her going for a punch.  Her eyes widened as she got punched right in the jaw going flying, she bounced along the ground then a white cloud of smoke proofed around her as a log appeared and fell to the ground.

Appearing behind him she forced a barrier around her whole arms and punched from above aiming for his head. He dodged it by a hair, she punched the ground causing a small crater.  Moving to the side he circled around to her side and swept her feet from under her, putting a hand on the ground before she hit the ground, rotated and swinging her body to the side, she planted her shoe into his face earning her a satisfied groan from him as he stumbled back.

Taking out the kunai from the temple she blocked his own kunai sending sparks flying.  Her kunai glowed with energy melting his.  She tried to stab him through but he grabbed her arm causing it to steam and burn her from the barrier.  An angry scream came from her as her eyes burned into his with hatred.

She put a barrier around herself making powerful energy come from both of their contact with each other fighting for dominance.  Miyaka's won and blasted his back a couple of meters.  She shot behind him building energy in her barrier and just as he turned around and saw hers bubbling with an energy she released it with a sadistic smile.

                                                                   ~*~*~*~*~*~

Emi had Maki on his back on the ground as her hand was hovering over top of his wound a green glow coming from her hand.  She knew that he has lost too much blood for her healing to be of any use but she wanted to at least ease the pain and let him live a little longer by slowing the bleeding.  It wouldn't be right if they couldn't say goodbye properly.

"Why are you even trying to save him?  You know as much as I do that he's half-dead already."  Hidan's cold voice was heard from behind her.

"because it wouldn't be right,"  she mumbled quietly just loud enough for them to hear.

"What are you talking about?"

"They have known each other a while the way they talk to one another, it wouldn't be right if they didn't get to say goodbye properly.  After all, I know what that feels like.  Having someone gone unexpectedly, its.......painful."

Emi's eyes clouded over remembering what it felt like leaving the Akatsuki hideout after she had found out that her Sensei had died saving the others.  At that time on the way back to the village she hadn't met up with her yet telling her she was alive and to keep it a secret.

She grabbed onto her clothing at her chest clenching it into a fist remembering the feeling of despair grip her senses.  Saying goodbye properly eased some of her pain even though she knew she was alive.  As the years went by it started to feel as though she had actually been dead.

"Hidan stop pestering Emi and keep on guard for any movement.  there might be more than one of those guys around hiding in the shadows."

"Yeah, yeah, I got it.  Quit nagging me.." he strode over to where his partner was positioned.

As if on cue a body came flying at them at an inhuman speed making them step to the side.  Kakuzu had wrapped his tentacles around Emi lifting her out of the way just in time as the body flew only millimeters over Maki's body rustling his hair slightly before hitting a rock and making it explode on contact.

He came out of the smoke heading right for Emi that was still in shock from being yanked off the ground suddenly.  Hidan grabbed his weapon but something flew past him in a blur socking him right in the side of his face mid-air throwing him into a tree cracking it.

Miyaka stood in a protective stance in front of Emi eyes blazing in anger.

That's when they noticed something odd about her appearance.  Her red hair had streaks of blue going through it and when she glanced behind her at them her bright green eyes had a ring of blue swirling around in each one.

He stood up from the tree ready to attack even though his body had Miyaka's after effects of her barrier exploding on him visible he still stood.  She snapped her head back towards him.

"You will not touch her.  You'll have to step over my dead body before I let you!"
