When I opened my eyes again, a red sky glowed dully overhead. The ground under my head shifted slightly and I tilted my head back just enough to see a concerned Alastor.
"Alastor...?" I muttered, sitting up and turning to face him. As soon as our eyes met, he pulled me close and pressed his lips to mine in a long, slow kiss. When we finally pulled apart, I laid my head on his shoulder.
"Where are we?" I asked, glancing around without moving.
With a small grin, he replied, "My dear wife, welcome to Hell."
"Hell?" I was confused, "I'm dead?"
"Yes my dear," He chuckled, "It's pretty much a guarantee when you marry a demon." I smiled back at him and sat back up.
"What happened to the priest and my father?" I asked curiously.
"Strung up in bits in the front yard," He said with a devilish laugh, "It will be a closed casket funeral for sure." A fitting end, I supposed.
"So what now?" I peered around, we were in an alleyway in what seemed to be a city.
"Well," Alastor explained, "We're in Hell now. You're a demon like me. And that's about the gist of it." I was a demon...somehow that didn't surprise me.
"Does that mean we can be together forever?" I asked, looking up into his crimson gaze.
Alastor nodded, "Forever."
"Good," I kissed my demon husband, murmuring against his lips, "As long as I can be with you, I don't care. I love you."
"I love you too," He replied, holding me close. This was the radio demon. My husband. And I would follow him to hell and back without a second thought.
