Writer's Pov
"Yes, boss?" She muttered through the phone once she closed the door of her room, making sure her sister won't hear her.
"Krystal is done with her part" the boss spoke, Hyo almost rolled her eyes but held it back.
"I will make sure to get done as soon as possible, boss"
she breathed out."You know well I don't like mistakes, Hyo, I trust you on this" Hyoyeon can visualize his facial expression, his pose, his look, and it's not pleasing since Junmyeon was always the strict type of boss, the thought of how Junmyeon would look right now while saying these words sends shivers down Hyoyeon's spine.
"I never failed you" She thought of saying the word 'boss' but refrained from saying it right away, she wants it to sound as sincere as it actually is. Hyoyeon never once failed him, her mistakes were never the ones to disappoint her boss.
"I can see it" they were the last words before he ended the call and Hyoyeon exhaled, feeling extremely anxious of what's coming next.
There was a soft knock on the door, the door slightly opened to reveal her older sister
"You can come in" Hyoyeon sighed once her sister took the invitation and entered the room to sit next to her on the bed.
"What's wrong Hyonnie?" Hyoyeon cringes at the nickname
"Nothing Taeyeon, what do you want?" her tone was a bit aggressive due to the stress she is going through, she is not sure if she can bear humans around her at this point, she just wants to sit alone and overthink her life decisions.
"Why are you like this Hyoyeon?" Oh no "Were you talking to him again?" Hyoyeon would be lying if she said she didn't expect her sister to know already, it was kinda useless to talk to him in private.
"Taeyeon, I already told you I can't leave" Taeyeon looks annoyed beyond the limits, "Why are you torturing yourself? You always come home stressed and tired all the time, and he's always taking everything, you don't even take much for all the times you overworked yourself for his filth--"
Hyoyeon cuts her, she can't take her scolding, at least not today, "Stop! I had enough of your dumb lecturing, we wouldn't be living here, happy and having enough money to live, so your arguement makes no sense" She yells back at her shocked looking sister.
"Happy?" She says mockingly and smiles bitterly, "No, Hyo, You're not happy, You're always stressed, It's been such a long time since you smiled that I forgot how your smile looks like!" she cries her heart out, unable to talk, but she needs to tell her, she needs to wake her up.
"And I am never happy seeing you like this, I care about you, I can't just sit back and watch Hyoyeon!"
"Do you have any other plan?"
"Yes, there's always a better replacement, we don't need that much of money to make a living, even though I don't see that much money anymore, I already work in a place and the payment is satisfying enough, you can help to-"
"Don't you fucking remember Joohyun?" Hyoyeon voiced out, it made Taeyeon freeze immediately.
Taeyeon didn't seem like she would talk back so Hyoyeon continued, "We'll fucking end up like this bitch if I leave. Leaving for Junmyeon means betrayal, means death." the last statement came out in a cold way, as if it was something normal for her, something she knows and thinks is okay to happen.
Taeyeon's expression is a mix of fear, anger and something Hyoyeon can't quite make out...disappointment?
"One day you'll regret this, Hyoyeon, it was wrong from the start"
