Tony and I weren't speaking to each other much after our argument and I could tell it was starting to concern Pepper. I knew the poor woman had enough on her plate (having just been appointed CEO of Stark Industries) without worrying about other people's problems so I tried to be civil with him. It started small, simply being in the same room as him and then exchanging short sentences.
Almost a week had passed since said argument and I found myself in the privet gym Tony had in the house, a room I didn't usually frequent. However, I knew Pepper wanted Dad and I to spend more time together and so I was sat in a white leather chair, a history book in my lap, watching Happy and Tony spar in the boxing ring which was situated in the centre of the room.
"The notary's here! Can you please come sign the transfer paperwork?" Pepper called as she walked into the room, her heels clicking on the floor. She came to a stop beside my seat and gave me a smile before looking back to the two men; I took the smile to mean she was happy I was there with Tony.
"I'm on happy time." Said Tony before he hit Happy square in the face with his elbow. "Sorry."
"What the hell was that?" An indignant Happy cried, clearly not expecting the illegal move.
"It's called mixed martial arts. It's been around for three...weeks."
"It's called dirty boxing, there's nothing new about it."
"All right, put them up. Come on."
It was then that she arrived. My eyes followed the woman with dark red curls, dressed in black trousers and a tight fitting white blouse as she walked over to Pepper. I had to admit that she was a very beautiful woman but I didn't like the fact that her mere presents made both Happy and Tony's attention shift to her.
