The next morning at school Grayson and I walked into theatre and met Ellie and James, who where already in their seats. We all waited but Emma didn't show up. No one but me knew about yesterday, aside from Sydney of course, so questions where being asked but I acted normal. I didn't mean to upset her so bad she doesn't come to school. I mean what I said was harsh but I didn't mean it. I love Emma.

Eventually the bell rang and Sydney walked in, and instead of sitting at her normal table she sat in Emma seat, right next to me. Grayson shot her a look and James whispered into Ellie's ear, who was also looking at Sydney.

"What are you doing? That's Emma's seat," Grayson spoke up. I tensed up.

"Oh, well I don't see Emma, and this seat certainly doesn't have her name on it, does it?" Grayson rolled his eyes.

"No, but she'll be here she's probably late," Sydney laughed and looked at me.

"You didn't tell them?" All eyes where suddenly on me and I felt my face get hot.

"Tell us what?" Ellie asked me. I couldn't lie.

"Emma and I, got into a fight. A bad one, I- I said I didn't want her to come to me again, and now she's not here. I didn't mean to upset her it just came out," I said and Ellie's jaw dropped as she jumped up and grabbed her phone out of her pocket running into the hall.

"It's true, it was awful," Sydney said.

"You where there? Why in the hell was she there?" Grayson shot his head towards me.

"I-I, we ran into her," I lied. "Look it isn't Sydney's fault so you guys need to calm down," I said. James got up and moved to a different table, Grayson watching.

"Have fun bro, but I'm not sitting here with her," he shot her another dirty look before getting up and joining James at a different table. When Ellie came back in she didn't even look at me and just moved her stuff to the other table.

I didn't care. Let them be mad Sydney was only helping me and they where acting like babies. They'd be normal by lunch.

I was wrong however, they all never showed up like normal and I ate alone, but didn't care. The rest of the day was silent from everyone except Sydney.

Even when Gray drove us home he never spoke a word and went straight to his room when we arrived. I went to my room and plopped on my bed. I stared at the ceiling for a while and thought about texting Emma, but I didn't. Instead I texted Sydney. She'd wanna talk to me.

Me: Hey, you available to talk?
Sydney🤞: Sure thing! What's up?
Me: Nothing. But my friends didn't speak to me all day and Grayson is ignoring me. Just because you sat at our table like it's not my fault that Emma didn't show up.
Sydney🤞: They're just mad because I stood up for myself. Don't let them bother you, they're not real friends if they treat you this way for something that isn't your fault.

That's the thing though, wasn't it my fault? I placed my phone on the charger and placed it on my nightstand, I found myself thinking about the whole situation while staring up at nothing. My eyes became heavy, and I fell asleep. School was exhausting.

When I awoke, the smell of pizza caused my mouth to water. I stretched and checked the time, it was only six. I got up and headed to the bathroom, taking my phone with me. I had dreamt of Emma's smile and I realized I needed to at least know she was okay. The phone rang but no person answered, all I got was ringing. I gave up and decided to head down and eat my dinner.

Grayson and Cameron where already at the table and Grayson didn't look in my direction, this was ridiculous.

"How long you gonna act like I don't exist?" I spoke up after grabbing a few slices and sitting at the table. Grayson rolled his eyes.

"Whatever, eat and shut up," he responded. That hurt a bit.

"Grayson, what the hell?" Cameron spoke up. "What's wrong with you two?"

"Oh nothings wrong with me, he's hurt Emma so bad she didn't show up to school and won't answer anyone's calls, except Ellie's and even then she says nothing, only cries." Grayson shot me a look. Cameron looked at me and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Ethan, what did you do? You're so stupid," she said. I shook my head.

"The wrong thing slipped out it's not my fault. I'm not doing this," I stood and walked outside, surprised to see Sydney about to knock.

"Oh, hi," she said and I closed the door walking with her into the yard.

"Hi? What are you doing here?" I asked. She stepped to me.

"Thought maybe you'd wanna, hang out?" She smirked and I couldn't help but look her up and down, she was pretty attractive. She stepped closer and I didn't move.

"Oh, really? Well, that's great bu-" her lips smashed onto mine. I wanted to stop but I didn't, I kissed back. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I trailed my tongue against her bottom lip. The whole time I thought of Emma, feeling a pain in my chest but still, I didn't stop.

I grabbed Sydney's hand and we snuck back upstairs to my room. I locked the door and threw her onto the bed. If Emma thinks I'm perfect then this will show her. It's not her.

I frantically kissed Sydney and soon our clothes where tossed around the room, I was hovering above Sydney's figure and my breathing was heavy. She slid her hands down my body until she grabbed my cock, stroking it. I let out a groan and she sucked on my neck.

"Fuck," I let out. She giggled. She knew what she was doing.

The pain in my chest worsened as I continued. What was I doing? I love Emma. Sydney was just a friend.

Right? But I wasn't, this was first of the many bad decisions of mine to come.

A/N: DONT HATE ME. ;) Pic of "Sydney" at the top (Zoe Sugg is who I imagine the character to look like but isn't based on Zoe herself) sorry it's short but next few chapters will be a whirlwind of feelings and emotions, get ready. Hold onto your wigs.
