*This is happening as the last chapter is, hope that makes sense lol*
My eyes weakly filtered open. I instantly held onto the back of my head. Memories flooded my brain and I instantly shot up, it was dark and the only light I could see came from under what seemed to be a door. I shifted around before standing up, squinting to see if anyone or anything else was in the room with me.
"Emma?" I whispered out still seeing her being dragged and not being able to help. It was quiet at first but my heart came back to my chest hearing a small sniffle at first.
"E-Ethan?" I crawled around feeling around with my hands, until I grabbed what I hoped was Emma's arm.
"I'm here," I said. She grabbed onto me and pulled me close.
"Where are we? Ethan I'm scared," her voice cracked and my heart once again broke. All of this was my fault. I pulled her into me and kissed her head softly.
"I'm so sorry, I'm getting you out of here," I said. It was my promise to her.
I stood carefully and walked towards the door, placing my hand on the knob after finding it. I twisted and it was locked of course, someone on the other side started to move so I rushed back to Emma and made sure she was behind me. The knob could be hard wiggling and then light filled the room.
"Well well, you're both awake." Derrick pulled a chair in and sat down in front of us, he leaned back and smiled. I shook my sore head.
"Why are you doing this?" I said through gritted teeth.
"Why? Because you pushed me. No one pushes me Dolan," he snapped back. I glanced at Emma who's eyes were still red.
"Let her go, she has nothing to do with this, you can do whatever you need to do to me. Just let her go," I said with a pleasing tone. Emma has nothing to do with this at all.
Derrick stood and moved closer.
"Well that's interesting you'd let me do whatever I wanted to you if I let her go?" He crossed his arms.
"Yes." I was dead serious.
"So you'd die for Emma?" He questioned. I gulped and looked her in the eyes.
"You could ask me that a million time and- well I'll always say it's her before me every time. So yes. I'd die for Emma," Emma's eyes widened.
"Ethan no," she let out. Derrick laughed.
"Nah that'd be to easy, besides I only wanna make your life hell and I know the only way to do that is hurt her," he said. "While you watch."
I stood.
"Don't touch her, you'll regret it." Derick scoffed.
"Kinda like when I did that to your face?" He smirked.
At this point all I could do was try and get Emma out of the room, maybe she could escape and get help. So I did what I had to do. I punched Derrick in the throat and watched as he went back, coughing violently.
"Emma go!" I yelled and she looked at me pleadingly. "Go!"
Emma ran through the door and I tried running after her but a hand gripped my shirt violently pulling me back and slinging me on the floor.
"She isn't getting far, once again I'm not alone." Suddenly another male ran into the room.
"Sir, she's gone." Derrick twisted around.
"What? How?! Idiots!"
I smiled. She was safe, she was gonna be okay. Derrick turned to me and kicked me in the stomach. I groaned in pain.
