Everything was good with Emma now, well mostly. Working on it. But I certainly had a feeling that more things where yet to come. We only had a few months of school left before we would be set out into the real world.

I woke up to a ruffling noise. I forgot Emma had stayed over last night for a moment, looking around to see what was causing the noise. She was looking through her bag on the floor in front of the mirror and was silently cursing under her breath. I plopped back down and stretched, what time was it? I sat back up and Emma stood going out of the room, not even noticing that I was awake. I got out of bed and headed behind her. I followed her all the way downstairs and stopped as she made her way to the couch.

"What are you doing Em?" I said breaking the silence. She turned around quickly, being startled.

"Oh, did I wake you?" She asked. I shook my head no.

"Nope, not at all. I'm just curious as to what you're doing," she blew air out of her mouth in frustration.

"I thought I brought my eyeliner but it isn't anywhere to be found and I actually got enough sleep last night to even feel like applying it to my face and of course it's gone," she huffed. Emma plopped herself on to the couch and I couldn't help but laugh. She was adorable when she was upset.

I walked over and sat beside her and we both said nothing for a while. I glanced at the clock, it was not even six-thirty yet so I shouldn't be up. But I was and I didn't mind sitting next to Emma.

"It's cold," she mumbled. I bit my lip and then wrapped my left arm around her shoulders and pulled her into my side. I was still in my boxers so I knew my body heat would help.

She put her face against my chest and I rested my chin on her head. I listened to Emma breathe for a moment and then she grabbed one of my hands, playing with my fingers as she always did. I loved it when she done it because it made me feel good. Eventually it reached seven and we heard movement upstairs meaning Grayson was awake. Emma shifted and looked up at me. I stared back into her eyes and she smiled.

"I missed that," she spoke softly.

"What?" I asked.

"Waking up and seeing that face, seeing your eyes looking back at me," she spoke. I smiled.

"What face, this one?" I made myself look like a turtle and Emma laughed. I laughed hearing her laugh because I hadn't in so long.

Just then Grayson walked into the room and stopped, rubbing his eyes.

"You're up early," he mumbled. I nodded, gesturing to Emma. "Morning Emma," he said.

"Morning Gray," Emma said back. I felt a little weird considering Grayson also only slept in boxers and Emma had no pants on. She could now say she had fully seen the Dolan twins bodies, head to toe. I guess I didn't mind because I knew my brother could care less about having Emma that way.

We all got dressed and headed out to the car by seven-twenty and fastened our seat belts. Grayson backed out of the driveway and headed towards the school. I sat up front while Emma was in the back, her earbuds in. I turned to Grayson.

"Did mom ever go to the store?" I didn't even look to see, I was captivated by Emma.

"Uh, no... we don't have any money," Grayson said slowly.

"What does that mean?" I asked, concern filling my voice.

"It means, we need to get jobs if you know what I mean," Gray looked over at me. I nodded knowing what he was talking about and made sure Emma didn't hear anything. She wouldn't like me doing the jobs we did but I had to or we where gonna be homeless.
