you're like a diamond in a cave
that's never been seen,
that's what you told me.
son, you see in me what everyone else has,
nothing beyond that.
you've been a pawn shop dealer,
it ain't like you know what's real.
you're a rock and I'm a jeweler.
i can't turn you into something
more than you're worth,
you'd never benefit from me.
if I bust you down, it'd be pointless
because at the core,
you'd still be what you always were.
i can't trigger in you
what it takes to evolve
come on nigga, you're still my rock.
we're still out here thinking
we'd be going strong till the end of time.
like a kid wishing upon a star,
naive obviously, but fucking pure.
-said "we're" while knowing damn well ain't nobody thinking like that but me.
