Chapter 11 - Thunderstorms And Sunshine

I continued to look at Laxus and saw the rest of the guild members beginning to crowd around us. I was still confused as to how I ended up here.

"I'm so glad you're okay, Akari." Wendy said with a smile.

"Yeah, you had us worried." Freed added.

"Really? I can't remember what happened. Where are we at the moment?" I asked.

"Tenrou island, we're here for the S-Class trial." Laxus replied.

"The trial! Of course. Wait... I still have to do the trial." I said eagerly as I tried to get out of bed.

"No. You're not going anywhere." Laxus said as he held onto me and tried to put me back in bed.

"What?" I questioned.

"The trial is haulted at the moment, but you won't be continuing with the others." Laxus said sadly.

"Why not? I'm fine. Yeah I'm a bit tired and my body is feeling like crap, but that's never stopped me before from doing jobs." I explained.

"Akari, it's not just that." Porlyusica said as she came to the front of the crowd.

"Porlyusica? What are you doing here?" I questioned.

"Why do you think? Do you remember trying to rip Gajeel apart?" Porlyusica asked me.

I didn't come back with an immediate response, I had to try and cast my mind back to before I woke up, but everything was hazy. Yes, I do remember getting on the island, me and Freed worked together doing something... Gajeel... I think I recall fighting him, but never to the point of killing- wait! No. I remember something. I had a moment flash up in my memory, I had Gajeel pinned down on the ground. I couldn't stop myself from hurting him.

Tears ran down my face like a river, what Porlyusica stated, I didn't believe her at first, but those fragments of memory just served proof to me that I was uncontrollable, however, I can't remember why.

"How could I do that... to a fellow guild member." I said regrettably as I continued to cry.

"It's fine Akari." Laxus said as he hugged his arms around me.

"I'm so sorry Gajeel!" I cried out.

"It's alright Akari, I'm stood here, I'm fine, you just gave me a really good beating that's all." Gajeel replied.

"It still doesn't make it right, I don't understand what came over me." I said softly.

"That's the thing we need to tell you." Laxus said as he released his grip from me and looked me in the eyes.

"What is it?" I questioned with concern.

"Well... it ain't gonna be just the two of us anymore in our house." Laxus said with a smile.

"What? Are we getting a puppy!" I said excitedly.

"Not exactly... wait, how does getting a puppy have anything to do with you blacking out on us?" Laxus asked with confusion.

"I don't know, you just said there was going to be an addition to our household." I replied.

"Akari, add two and two together, if you are feeling under the weather due to another addition to your family that means..." Freed hinted.

"That means... that means... I don't know what that means." I said blankly.

"Did you lose some brain cells whilst you were passed out!" Laxus exclaimed.

"My head isn't fully with it yet, sorry if I'm not understanding your secret cryptic language." I pouted as I crossed my arms.

"Look, you are going to be a mother. We're having a baby." Laxus said with a beaming smile as he held my hands.
