Chapter 12 - Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head

While half of the guild members on Tenrou Island were busy concluding the S-Class trial for the year, the other half of us were occupying ourselves and making the most of the time off we had... I say we... actually I was excluded from that statement. I wasn't relaxing, more like angry and stressing. I was so pissed off that I couldn't become S-Class due to me being a couple weeks pregnant, well, that and me almost losing my life from doing the trial since it was too strenuous for me, but still, I could've finished off the trial, even if I did have to spend like two weeks in bed recovering.

I was sat at one of the picnic tables in camp, brooding over the trial going on without me.

"This sucks! I'm so bored! I should be doing the trial with the others!" I exclaimed as I threw my arms everywhere in frustration.

"Woah! Calm down there Akari, you're gonna knock somebody out." Lucy cautioned as she edged away from me.

"So what? At least it'll give me something to do." I sighed as I rested my head on the table.

"I know it's boring waiting, like you, I wish we could've continued the trial as well." Freed said.

"Then why didn't you fight alongside me when I needed backup?" I questioned with disappointment.

"For the same reason that Laxus didn't back you up. How many times do I have to say it before the words sink into that stubborn brain of yours? You aren't fit to be doing any physical activity at the moment." Freed explained.

"Taking down an S-Class wizard, it's not that difficult, not for me anyway..." I said softly with a grin.

"I think you need to be knocked out again so hopefully you return to reality with some sense knocked back into you." Freed commented.

"Go on then tough guy! Bring it!" I shouted as I jumped up from my seat and positioned myself, fists tightened, ready to fight.

"Akari, sit down." Freed sighed.

"You shouldn't be moving that quickly! It could effect the baby as well as yourself." Lucy warned.

"The baby isn't even the size of a grape yet!" I exclaimed.

"If you want to rumble I'll volunteer!" Natsu said eagerly as he jumped in front of me.

"Don't count me out either." Gray added as he stood next to Natsu.

"Are you guys crazy!" Lucy shouted with disbelief.

"Hey! You shouldn't be encouraging her!" Freed snapped.

"Go on my love!" Juvia cheered on the side lines.

"Why are you so happy about this?" Lucy questioned.

"It's a chance to take down one of my love rivals!" Juvia said passionately.

"Sorry to burst your bubble Juvia, but Akari did just announce that she was going to get engaged to Laxus if she won the trial." Wendy explained.

"I know, but that doesn't mean she won't still go after my beloved Gray sama!" Juvia said angrily.

"Do you want me to spell it out for you? I don't want Gray!" I shouted back.

"I'm joining the fight!" Juvia said enthusiastically as she stood up on the table like a majestic statue.

"Can you guys just calm down!" Lucy shouted.

"It's no use Lucy, they're set on fighting." Wendy sighed.

"Freed, do something." Lucy said.

"There's nothing I can do, she's made her mind up." Freed said as he continued watching us.
