Akari's POV
After spending the afternoon with Pika, keeping her up to date with all the crazy antics that occurred during the S-Class trial on Tenrou, I decided to make some dinner for Laxus for when he came back home.
Whilst chopping up some ingredients for a curry, I heard a click at the front door as it opened and shut.
"Only me." I heard a familiar voice say.
"Hi Laxus, did you have a nice time with the Thunder Legion?" I questioned.
"Yeah, it was alright, just had some stuff to talk about." Laxus said as he came into the kitchen.
"Ah right." I said as I continued to prepare the ingredients.
Laxus looked at me and shook his head suddenly as he took the knife out of my hand and moved me aside.
"What are you doing? I could've hurt myself then." I said with slight confusion as to what Laxus was doing.
"You are meant to be resting, doctor's orders and mine. Go and sit in the living room and relax." Laxus replied as he took over the cooking.
"But I was going to make a nice curry for you." I complained.
"Why are you so desperate to do chores all of a sudden?" Laxus questioned as he looked at me in the eyes.
"I always do chores around the house! I'm usually always cleaning up after you!" I exclaimed as I put my hands on my hips.
"That can't be true. Seriously though, you should be taking it easy. I appreciate what you wanted to do for me, but I can take over from here and look after you, at least for the rest of this week." Laxus explained.
"Okay. I'm sorry for snapping at you. I'm just feeling so bored at the moment, I'm trying to pre occupy myself, but it's kinda difficult when you are limited to what you can do." I explained.
"We'll find something to do tomorrow together, something that will be fun but not too strenuous, okay?" Laxus replied with a smile.
"Okay." I smiled back.
I sat down on the sofa in the living room and looked around. I twiddled my thumbs as I tried to think of something that I could do that wouldn't get me in trouble with the health police, a.k.a. Laxus. Pika came into the room and sat next to me.
"I guess I could read a book..." I said softly.
"Do you really want to read a book?" Pika questioned.
I sat very still, trying to hold my temper in...
"The hell I don't! I want to go on job requests! Earn money! I want to go drinking down at the guild!" I exclaimed as I flailed my arms around in the air violently.
"Calm down Akari, you'll injure yourself." Pika said.
"Pika, not you too!" I complained.
"Laxus has a point. If you want to get back to doing job requests, then you're going to have to rest up and concentrate on getting better." Pika explained.
"I'm sick of this crap." I pouted as I slid down the sofa so I was slouched.
Laxus came into the living room and looked at me, rolling his eyes and sighing. He's definitely fed up with me.
"Could you move over Pika?" Laxus asked.
"Sure." Pika replied.
Pika moved to another chair in the room, and Laxus sat down on the sofa next to me. He grabbed the top half of my body and pulled me onto his lap, so I was laid across him.
