Chapter 10: the abortion

Summers POV:
Today is the day of my appointment at the abortion clinic and I'm still going ahead with this. Me and Zack may have kids in the future, but not now also, I don't plan on telling zack about any of this because he'll want me to keep it but I couldn't cope with a baby and it wouldn't be fair on the child. It is now 2:45, so me, tomika and esme are walking towards the car as they are coming for moral support. All us girls had today off as we spoke to principal Mullins and she thought it would be for the best. We got there and straight away someone came out asking for me. I went to have my first pill today, it is called mifepristone and then I have an appointment at 3 tomorrow for my other pill, I have to stay in hospital for about 4-6 hours after that but all the girls will be with me and we've told my mom and Tomika's mom and they will be there too, they were actually really supportive but just upset that we didn't go straight to them when I found out.

{skip to 24 hours later}

My mom is meeting me, Tomika and Esme at the hospital with my bag as I'm going to be here for at least 4 hours, I could go home but they said because of my age it will be better to stay in. I have to say I am really nervous, I have done loads of research but I'm still scared.

I've just took the second tablet, misoprostol and I've just got to wait.

Tomika's POV:
Summer has just had the abortion, it took 5 and a half hours after she took the misoprostol, but it's all over, she has been booked for counselling just because there is a slight chance she will get depressed. She got upset however she knows it was the right thing to do for her and it's what she wanted.

We got back to summers and I'm sleeping over to make sure she's okay. She seems ok so far but it may hit later, However I don't think it sunk in that she was pregnant so won't hit as hard.

I just woke up and summer is in the bathroom.
T: "are you okay sum?"
S: "I have stomach cramps and I'm bleeding, can you pass me a pad?"
T: "yeah sure, here" I said passing her a pad.
S: "thank you,it's 6:15am so we might aswell stay awake."
T: "okay but don't over do it today okay, I know the nurse said you will be okay but I want  you to take it easy,"
S: "okay."
We got changed, I wore this,

And summer wore this

We got to school and walked straight to class. When we got there Freddy ran up to me, lifted me up in the air and started twirling me round.
F: "I've missed you,"
T: " it's been a day,"
F: "actually, it's been 39 hours since I last saw you,"
T: "awww bless," I said kissing his cheek, however he quickly turned so I kissed his lips. We all went and sat down as a principal Mullins walked in.
Pm: "morning children, so mr Finn is ill today so you will be having a cover teacher until mr Finn is better." She said but left the room.
Ms: "hello, I'm mrs Smith."

I text summer because we decided she should tell him.

Ms: "would you like to tell the class what your texting and what is so important?"
T: "we'd rather not miss,"
Ms: "please stand up and read out your texts."
Me and summer stood at the front and started reading out our texts.
T: " Sum you should tell him,"
S: " I cant he would never forgive me,"
T: "he deserves to know,"
S: " I cant he'll hate me and I love him,"
T: "it is part of him you know, it takes two to make a baby,"
Zack stood up.
Z: "what your pregnant?"
S: "I'm sorry, I can't do this,"
She ran out of the room and we all followed her.
