After a while, I give up on trying to save my mother. The sun is up and the seahorses are out playing with their young. Me and Brady swim off and sit on sun berry branch cliff. Underwater, this place looks so cool. My friends went snorkeling here once and sent me pictures. And oh boy, I sure did want to go. But, of course, I know why. I really miss my friends. But I especially miss Tessa. Me and her have been buddies forever. Thinking about them makes me sad. So I decide to talk.
"Hey, um, Brady, so I need to tell you something."
"Uh ok what?"
"I am not like you. In fact, "
He interupts. "Well duh. You are a girl fish and I am a boy fish. "
"Umm no. Let me show you." We swim together until I can see the people playing in the sand. We have to stay down low or the humans will see us. Is that what they think of me? A human? Is that a bad thing? Maybe I shouldn't tell him. But I do anyways. I have to trust my heart.
"Mallory what were you going to show me?"
"Ok ready?"
"I was born ready!" He smiles at me then gives me the continue look. So I do. I swim until I feel the sand
