Despite that it’s been weeks, Jayden showed no signs of hunger. Neither did Ryan or Emily who’s been in the Netherworld for three days.
“The Maze?!” Jeice said in disbelief. “I thought that was only in the legends!”
“Well according to the Nighlok, it’s not, do you know where we could find it?” Jayden asked.
“Unfortunately no. I’ve only heard rumors and folklore of it.”
“That’ll have to do. What have you heard?”
“That The Maze is in the deepest parts of the Netherworld. Places that have seas of lava, Nighloks that have swords for arms, or cannons for heads.”
“Sounds pretty dangerous.”
“It’s more than dangerous. It could be our death beds.”
“Jeice, you don’t have to keep going with me, I don’t want you to die because of me.”
“No, I want to come. Finally instead of living in the shadow of my father, I can do something good.”
“Who’s your father?”
“Master Xandred.”

Ryan POV
-
I turned another corner just to come face to face with the same passageway I just escaped. This place is like the Labyrinth in the Percy Jackson book series. I turned to come face to face with another large Nighlok.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” he said.
“Yeah, I’ve been getting that a lot,” I replied.
I drove my katana through the Nighlok’s stomach, where his stomach should be. Instead of collapsing into dust, the Nighlok’s body flashed with stone before returning to normal.
“You’ll have to do better than that,” the Nighlok said.
He easily took out my katana and flung it on the ground. I frowned puzzled.
“What kind of Nighlok are you?” I asked.
“The kind you don’t want to mess with.”
The Nighlok grabbed me the ankle so that I hung upside down.
“Umm, losing consciousness here!” I said.
The Nighlok threw me against the stone wall. Hard I might add. My head snapped back so that it head the wall harder. I slumped on the ground dark spots clouding my vision. I blinked a few times before seeing the Nighlok now had a club in his hands. He swung it and I dropped the club barely missing my face.
