It has now been officially one year since Ryan sacrificed himself to kill Pendara. A normal person would have moved on by now, but I'm not normal. Since the entire Nighlok race has been destroyed, I enrolled back into high school as a senior. Being sad and depressed didn't exactly help boost my popularity. But it was now graduation and as happy as the others were for me, I could honestly care less about it.
As I walked onto the stage I saw the others smiling at me within the crowd. My jaw nearly dropped when I saw Ryan in the crowd next to Mia, though he was gone just as quickly. Please tell me I'm not losing my mind now.
-
"Emily, you didn't see Ryan," Natalie said flatly.
"Yes I did, it was for a quick moment he was in the crowd then gone," I replied.
"You either imagined you saw Ryan, or he visited you as a ghost, which I highly doubt."
"But Natalie, for all we know he could-"
"Emily, Ryan's gone, dead. Just drop it."
With that being said, Natalie left my room and the Black Box began glowing flashing different colours. Once it stopped a notebook and pencil flew to the bed pages flying through until it came to a blank one. The pencil hovered over the page writing slowly. Once the writing was finished, the letters the pencil wrote spelled out: I'LL BE BACK
I wasn't sure to be happy or scared, possibly both. The sentence could mean anything, Pendara could somehow raise herself from the dead, or Ryan could be coming back. His family is tied to the Black Box so it would make sense.

Ryan POV
-
"Did you do it?" Alexa pestered.
I sighed and replied, "Yes, Alexa I'm done."
"Finally," Cole sighed.
"Sorry my trying to get in contact with Emily is wasting your time," I replied sarcastically.
For whatever reason, they sent me to Vancouver. Alexa was eleven and the new Orange Ranger and Cole was the White Ranger. Both had brown hair while Alexa had ocean blue eyes and dark skin while Cole had brown eyes and tanned skin. Alexa was a little bit upbeat and persistant, which was irritating at times but Cole was laid-back and carefree.
"Can't you just open up a portal and go back to where ever you came from?" Cole asked.
"No, not since some of my power went to the others I can't," I replied.
Alexa hung upside down from a tree branch and said, "How are you supposed to get back home?"
"I don't know Alexa, I need to keep trying though."

Ash POV
-
I stood on the highest building in town. The wind was blowing fiercely threatening to make me free fall and become part of the ground. I'm almost as bad as Emily when it came to Ryan's death but I didn't block myself out from human communication.
"I thought I'd find you up here," a voice said.
I opened my eyes to see Emily standing a few feet away from me.
"What?" I stated flatly.
"Ryan might be still alive," she said.
I felt a quick rush of hope go through me, but I quickly demolished the thought.
"No, he couldn't be, Ryan's dead," I said.
"Then why did the Black Box start glowing and letters started magically writing on my notebook?" Emily questioned raising an eyebrow. "If it weren't Ryan, then I'd think it'd be you."
"Well I wasn't toying with the Black Box, much less your stupid notebook."
"You know I thought you actually cared about Ryan. But I guess I was wrong."
"I don't want to feel anything Emily. Because caring only gets in the way. How do you think I've managed not to break down? I don't let my emotions come out because I don't want to care."
Emily took a breath and left the roof.

Natalie POV
-
As much as I'd love to believe that Ryan could be alive, I can't. Emily probaby did imagine Ryan. There's no other realistic explanation for it. I sat on my bed books scattered across it flippped open to a random page.
"What are you doing?" Jayden asked.
"Ever heard of knocking?" I replied impatiently. "Sorry, Emily just told me that she saw Ryan at her graduation."
"And you think he's still alive?"
"Well, I hope he is, but the idea seems ridiculous."
"Not really, maybe somehow he used his power to transport himself somewhere?"
I smiled but it quickly faded.
"Thanks for trying Jayden."
I flipped through one of the books coming to a page. I skimmed over it each word burning itself into my mind so I wouldn't forget it.
Lost Souls,
Lost souls are usually seen lost in our world struggling to move on. The soul will try to contact those closet to themselves to help them move on. If a soul is still trapped in our world then the soul will cease to exist and fade into oblivion. The only possible way to help a lost soul move on is to summon it and encourage the soul to move on and that the person (people) will let the soul go.
"Do you think we could try this?" I asked.
"What?" Jayden said trying to take a peek on the book.
"This, Ryan just might be a lost soul trying to move on."
"And if it doesn't work?"
"Then Ryan's gone."

And here it is! The first chapter in the sequel. Ryan seems a little bit cliche trying to contact Emily by writing in a notebook "magically". Ash is obviously keeping his emotions bottled up, strange one. I hope you enjoyed this first chapter and stay tuned tomorrow or possibly in ten to thirty minutes for the next chapter.
I must leave, my sister's attempting to throw empty soda cans across the fence. God bless and happy reainding, byyyyyyye!
