Jayden and Jeice stood on a cliff. Below them was a labyrinth. Corridors, hallways, stairwells, you name it. The Maze had it all. A five story tower was in the middle of the labyrinth.
“That’s where Natalie is,” Jayden pointed to the tower.
“To bad you won’t get there,” a voice said.
Jayden turned to where Jeice was. But he wasn’t there, instead, standing before Jayden was six foot Nighlok. His eyes were the same color as Jeice’s and his right hand was built in with a cannon.
“Where’s Jeice? What did you do with him?” Jayden questioned already deciding to go on the offensive.
“Jayden, I am Jeice,” the Nighlok grinned. “The entire time I pretended to be Jeice. He doesn’t exist. I played you Jayden. And now, even if you somehow manage to kill me, you still have the entire Maze to worry about.”
“Then who are you?”
“General Kozem.”
The Nighlok General raised his cannon and fired. Jayden quickly rolled out of the way the cannonball missing him by a hair. General Kozem darted for Jayden who leaped onto the Nighlok General’s back.

Everyone in the Shiba House stay sound asleep. Everyone except Alexa who was in fear for her life. She’s only experienced Pendara once, but during that one time she knew Pendara was not one to be underestimated. The entire team could be here protecting herself and Cole, but she knew Pendara could kill them all within a mere few moments.
Alexa sighed and rose from her bed and exited her room. She entered the kitchen opening the fridge retrieving a water bottle. The sound of a door slamming echoed throughout the house. Alexa’s heart began beating faster instantly regretting not bringing her Samuraizer with her.
“Cole? That’s getting old now,” Alexa said.
Pendara entered the kitchen holding an unconscious Cole by the hair. Alexa instantly dropped the water bottle with a gasp.
“He didn’t put up quite a fight,” Pendara shrugged. “I don’t expect you to give me any trouble either.”
“Think again,” Alexa glared. “Don’t count me out just yet.”
Alexa put two fingers to her temple and held out her palm. A small ball of light danced across her palm and she hurled it towards Pendara. Pendara held up her hand and the small ball deflected back to Alexa who ducked instantly. Wooden cabinets exploded sending several shards of wood across the kitchen.
“I presume that took a lot of energy correct?” Pendara asked.
Pendara hurled her own ball of light which blasted right before Alexa.

Cole awoke beside a still unconscious Alexa and an exhausted Natalie.
“Natalie? What happened?” he asked dazed. Suddenly everything began rushing back to him. “Oh.”
“I was just about to ask you that,” Natalie replied. “We have two days until the Pendara does the Ritual, which means, we have forty eight hours to devise a plan and escape.”

“Uh, cute story,” I said smiling sheepishly.
Before Ryan could let out a word the wall was suddenly crashed through, I caught a quick glimpse of a Nighlok struggling to reach something on his back.
Ryan and I quickly ran to the newly made hole in the wall where the Nighlok was taking deep and heavy breaths. Jayden lied on the ground nearby.
“Whoa, this dude is even bigger than the others I fought,” Ryan said.
Without thinking, I drove my sword through the Nighlok’s chest. He grunted and tossed my Spin Sword to the ground.
“Sorry, I forgot to warn you,” Ryan said.
My instincts took over and I felt a surge of power rush through me. I felt the floor reach up to my ankles as earth tentacles sprawled from the ground pinning the enlarged Nighlok to the wall.
“Déjàvu,” Ryan frowned.
Jayden groaned and rose. A deep scrape fell along his jaw line.
“What are you guys doing here?” he questioned.
Ryan hesitated before flashing an innocent smile. “Cute story.”
