3 days later. Elysium swimming pool. 2:30 p.m. "I can't believe we're invited to a swimming pool!" Dominic exclaimed. "I know dude, I'm so happy! We get to see chicks in their bikinis! Yay!" Jordan exclaimed. "Hey Branden! Get your ass over here. Are you gonna go swimming with us or what?" Big Sister asked. "Uh no thanks. I'm okay." I answered nervously. Jordan and Dominic goes up to me and grabs me while he closes my mouth. "What's wrong with you guys?! We came here to swim." Big Sister asked. "Oh yeah, let's go!" Karina exclaimed. "You're coming with us too are you Branden? Hey what's wrong dude. You are having a good time of your life right?" Jordan asked. "Uh sure, the time of my life hehe." I answered. "Let's go hit the super slide. It will be a blast." Big Sister suggested. "I'll just hang here if that's okay." I replied. "That's our Branden hanging around." Jordan said. "Can we go with you as well?" Karina asked. "I really want to go as well." Dominic replied. "Sure you can, that's why you're here." Big Sister answered. "Yes, Yes, that's definitely why we're here alright!" Jordan and Dominic exclaimed. "Cool let's go!" Big Sister replied. "Yay!" Karina exclaimed. "Get your hands off me please. You guys go have fun. I'll be right here." I replied as I broke through when they were grabbing me and Ellie walked up to me after they walked away. "She's always pushing everyone around, I'm kinda used to that feeling-ish." Ellie said. "Well if that's how it is. I guess I would have a good time." I replied. "So about that race you had with her I know you won though but aren't you gonna get in trouble for not letting your mother know. Also to let you know, I got out of the hospital already. Ellie asked. "Uh you know she doesn't care if I go out with other street leagues that are friendly and support us for the race so yeah she doesn't mind." I answered. I looked away and closed my eyes. "What is this feeling, she's so beautiful I can't keep my eyes off of her and my heart would be about to burst. But seeing her in a bikini is the best Summer memory I ever had. It's like she's an angel or a princess. You would never forget the first time you met a princess. But this will be the best memory I ever had. She's so out of my league." I said in my mind. "Branden." Ellie called. "Yes?" I asked. "I wanted to say thank you so much for those good memories and for everything you done for me." Ellie answered. "Uh, it's okay." I replied. "I don't get what it is like to have you be in my shoes. I guess I'm just out of it but I'm glad you helped me." Ellie said. "Well I'm glad that helped you. I'm more than happy to help if you want." I replied. "I have something to tell you. So umm... here it goes... you remember the promise I made... back then at the diner right?" Ellie asked. "Huh?" I asked when I stuttered. "I know you may or may not understand what I mean, but it doesn't matter anyway. I didn't want you to get the kind impression I want you to make." Ellie answered. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I don't... I... just want... you..." Ellie stuttered and I gasped in shock. "Meet me at 8. At the Kishar Casino right by the Elysium just so we can go somewhere. I'll be there." Ellie commanded and I nodded. Water slide. Big Sister was riding on Karina. "WOOAAHHH MY GOD!!! IS THERE ANYWAY WE CAN SLOW DOWN??!!" Karina asked. "Haha! There's no use!" Big Sister answered. "Oh no, my back is rubbed against the... boobs..." Karina said in her mind. "This is not what I imagined!" Jordan exclaimed. "I... I hate my life! Whee!" Dominic exclaimed as he was riding on Jordan and they slide into the water. Minutes later. Big Sister, Dominic, Jordan and Karina were playing beach ball while Ellie and I are sitting together. "Aw, crap! Hey you, toss the ball back!" Big Sister commanded. "Help us here Ellie!" Jordan and Dominic exclaimed. Ellie got out of her chair but she bumped her bag and dropped it on the floor when she was gonna go throw the ball back to the others. Something slipped out of her bag which was her wallet, I got out my chair and took a peek at it when I opened it. "Huh? Shift-Lock's leader Underground Soldier!" I said in my mind. "Ready, Dom and Jordan?" Ellie asked as she threw the ball. "Sorry about my throw! My arm is sore!" Ellie said as she went back to her seat and sees me look confused and down while I looked at the table. "I don't get it. Why does she carry his picture around?" I wondered in my mind. "Is something Branden? Did I do anything?" Ellie asked. "No... it's nothing... um... I was wondering... can I ask you a question?" I asked. "Of course." Ellie answered. "You told me you didn't have a boyfriend and you weren't in a relationship before right?" I asked. "Yeah..." Ellie answered. "Or about a crush? I mean you have to had someone like that." I asked. "Sure I guess..." Ellie answered. "My point is why have you not bothered to go out with that guy? I mean one of my friends would mostly get their best friend to someone pretty as you." I asked. "Well... thank you.. it's flattering if you ask me hehe." Ellie answered. "So tell me, what does this guy do?" I asked. "He's a... a street racer." Ellie answered. "It was a couple years ago back in Tri-City Bay. One of my friends were bringing me out to this race that was going on at Gold Coast Mountains. I didn't even know anything about street racing back then. There is this one car that flattered me. I saw the aura on it and it was amazing. He's got some talent of street racing. It fascinated me when I saw his techniques. I got my drivers license back then, I was loaned a car by Ms.Disantos. I kept racing to get better and get the guy to be interested in me. We both got to watch him drift every night. And you know what? I never even talked to the guy to be honest. I never had the guts to do. It was an expression. I only admired his techniques from a distance." Ellie explained. "No way, you could've liked him better than me." I replied. "What? No, I wouldn't... but I... guess I do like him." Ellie said. "What a joke... I shouldn't have even asked. This whole thing was nothing and it blew right in my face. Some point... she feels so distant. She was crazy about a superstar, a drifting legend. The number one drifter all of Fortune Valley. Underground Soldier. It all makes sense now. Now I get why she likes R32's so much." I said in my mind as I gave a facepalm and put my head down. "How can I possibly compete with him?" I wondered in my mind. 4 Hours later. Highway. 6:30 p.m. "Oh my god! The beach was so fun!" Jordan exclaimed. "I know right! I got to see Big Sister's and damn! It seems like you wanna sleep in it when you curl it up! Did you have fun Karina?" Dominic asked. "It was fun but I didn't know what it was in the first place." Karina answered. "I could just imagine her in a bikini greeting me like a blinding light!" Jordan replied. "Ellie though, she's got a slim body. Don't you think Branden?" Karina asked. "Yeah, sure. Whatever." I'm sorry I went out without letting you know." I answered. "It's okay, Branden. I understand you want to enjoy time with Ellie. Take some time off from racing and that stuff. Enjoy life. I would also worry and keep thinking about cars, and having fun with the guys." Adena replied. "Really?" I asked. "So how are things going for you and Ellie?" Adena asked. "You know mom... I don't think it's gonna continue. Some point it's gonna fall apart." I answered. "What can I say mom? I got myself into like a deep dark curse or something." I stuttered. "Don't talk like that Branden. Women wouldn't be interested in you with negativity." Adena replied. "I'm just being honest mom. But I can't even compete with someone like Underground Soldier." I said. "What the hell? What's that supposed to mean?" Adena asked. Kishar Casino. "Well, I got here first. My heart is beating so fast I'm gonna faint when Branden gets here. It'll probably take like half an hour to get to Billionaires Row from here. It's obvious she may be waiting." I replied. "Get out of here! You won't know that until you get there for sure! Just the two of us Branden." Ellie answered. "Oh, so this is supposed to be a night and I came all the way here for nothing. I know your secret and I know what you're hiding." I replied. "What do you mean?" Ellie asked. "I saw a picture of a guy on your wallet when you dropped it at the pool." I answered. "Okay. Who's the guy?" Ellie asked. "It turns out you like Shift-Lock's Underground Soldier instead of me. Why would you replace a prick like him over me and why do you love him more than me. I'm your boyfriend and I can't believe you replaced me for this crap. I'm out of here." I answered. "No. You're not leaving." Ellie replied as she went to the drivers side of the R34 and blocked me. I looked away and looked back at her. "I don't love you. And good luck with your Underground Soldier in the R32. Now leave me the hell alone." I said as I broke free. I got in the R34 and drove off. Ellie sat down by her car and cried. I left the parking lot and drove home. The next day. Garage. "No way! They actually broke up?!" Jordan asked. "Yeah, it turned out to be the guy you're going up against in Drift. Branden told me he saw a picture of him in Ellie's wallet and he also said she likes Underground Soldier instead of Branden himself. I just feel bad for Ellie. Ellie I'm sorry this happened to you." Karina answered. "It's alright Karina... I just wanted him to be happy... and now it turns out that he knew I liked Underground Soldier instead of him... I just want our relationship to be happy..." Ellie cried. "Hey Ellie. What's wrong?" Adena asked. "Your son just broke up with me and left me all alone with sadness yesterday." Ellie answered. " *sighs* Just what I figured what was gonna happen..." Adena sighed. "Wait! How did you two break up again?" Letty asked. "When we are at the pool. Branden saw a picture of Underground Soldier on the front of my wallet. Then he bursted in rage and yelled at me for liking and dating that guy instead of him... I should have not dated the guy in the first place... I'm such a horrible person..." Ellie answered as she cried more when her tears kept falling. "Oh my god, I really wanna slap him so badly that he'll regret it." Adena replied. "Ms.Lee. That is not a good idea and it'll make a problems worse." Jordan suggested. "I'll just stay sad and lonely forever..." Ellie cried. "Don't say stuff like that. We're your friends." Jordan replied. "You don't understand. When other guys dumped me. I start to feel lonely and sad. But the only thing that will make me cheer up is if Branden and I can come back together. If we don't get back together, then I guess I'll have to quit everything..." Ellie said as she wiped her tears. "And that's the only answer. Somehow we gotta get Branden and Ellie back together." Karina replied. Ellie takes out her wallet. "Do you have a lighter Ms.Lee?" Ellie asked. "Yes I do. You're not gonna burn it." Adena asked. "I am gonna burn it. I don't want to be with the wrong person. I want to be with the right person that is your child and I want our relationship to be happy. I'm sorry, goodbye Underground Soldier." Ellie answered as she takes the picture and the lighter. She lights it up and starts burning the picture. "That was the only way?" Karina asked. "Guys I have an idea." Jordan answered. "I don't know about this.. but I guarantee it's not gonna work. He's not gonna even listen to 1 of us." Letty replied. "I got this Letty. I know how Branden functions." Jordan said. Hours later. Silver Casino Lodge. " *sighs* It was a bad idea to date her in the first place since she likes Underground Soldier more than me. Pathetic." I said in my mind. I was in bed and I heard knocking. " *sighs* It'd better not be her." I said in my mind as I got up and went to the door. "Jordan? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be preparing for the drift against Shift-Lock?" I asked as I opened the door and saw Branden. "You know I overheard the girls talking about you breaking up with Ellie and I want you guys to be back together." Jordan answered. "You want us to be back together? No way, nothing is gonna work. She loves that Shift-Lock leader instead of me and I'm pissed about it." I replied. "What about the times you two ran races like this and what about the times you won all those races? Please Branden, please do it." Jordan asked. " *sighs* I'm out of here." I answered as I got out of the garage and went to my R34. "Branden where are you going? Stop!" Jordan asked as he ran to my car but I drove away fast. "Damn it. I failed." Jordan said in his mind as he sighed. Kishar Hotel. Room 524. "I probably should go downstairs to get a drink. There is nothing here but coffee." I said as I walked out of the room and walked to the 1st floor but then someone appears out of nowhere and melees me from behind and I passed out. That person carried me and dragged me to this room. She opened the door and dragged me in. Minutes later. I woke up and I noticed my arms are tied up. I moving them and my legs but they're were stuck which means they're tied up by a rope. "Where am I?" I wondered. "You're in my room. Do you remember who I am Branden Lee?" A mysterious girl asked. "How do you know my name? Who are you?" I asked. "I'm your ex-girlfriend, Camille Harrison." Camille answered. "Why am I tied up?" I asked. "You shut up. I want you go back to being with me and get rid of your current girlfriend." Camille answered. as she punched me in the face and it showed a bruise on my cheek. "Gagh!" I exclaimed. "Camille? No. No no no. You were still dead back then." I replied. She grabbed her belt and whipped my chest. "Ugnh!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, but I recovered. And I demand you to go back to being with me right now. Let me change first." Camille commanded as she went to the bathroom. She closed the door and I started changing. I released my left arm out of the rope and grabbed my phone from my left pocket. I turned it on and I went to the Life360 app to send my location. I turned it on and it gave signal to my mom and the others. Garage. "It didn't work guys. I tried whatever I can to get Branden to do it. But he refused." Jordan said. "There's gotta be another way to get you guys back together." Letty replied. " *sighs* There's no way we're gonna continue being with each other." Ellie sighed. "Wait, I got a message from Branden." Karina said. "What does it say?" Adena asked. "It says *Karina. Can you help me. I am in trouble by some crazy ex girlfriend of mine and she wants to take me back with her. I am saying no but she refuses to let me go and forces me to go back with her. Please Karina, help me.* I have an idea. Why don't we just save him." Karina answered. "How can I? I'm just a loser and he won't forgive me." Ellie replied. "Trust me, he will forgive you if you save him. But where is his location at?" Karina asked. "I've got a signal on my phone. It says he's at the Kishar Casino. Sounds like he's in trouble. We have to get their fast. The target may have a weapon so bring your weapons if something bad's gonna happen." Adena answered. "Then let's get there fast." Letty commanded as she and the others got in their cars. Kishar Casino. "Karina please make it... I don't wanna die..." I said in my mind. I had bruises on my cheeks and on my forehead. I also had scars and whipped my marks on my back and my chest. "We're gonna have fun tonight daddy. All American good ol fashioned fun." Camille said as she climbed on top of me when I'm sitting. "I demand you to let me go. I'm uncomfortable in this position." I replied. "We're gonna be here for a while. Let me take off your pants and climb on you." Letty grunted as Camille punched her in the cheek and grabbed her gun. She had a bruise on her cheek. "Everyone of you. Shut up and put your guns down! You all should've mind your own business." Camille commanded. Adena, Jordan and Karina dropped their guns. But Ellie kept it in her back pocket. "This is our business. You kidnapped her boyfriend!" Adena exclaimed. "Or is she?" Camille wondered as she aimed at Ellie. "Ellie no!" I exclaimed. "You get one step closer to me and I'll shoot all of you. Including her." Camille said. Ellie gasped. "No!" I exclaimed. "Oh I don't think you will. You're just a chicken. Hand over the gun missy and we can forget this whole thing like we can talk it out." Letty commanded. "You get 1 inch closer to me and I'll shoot you!" Camille replied as she was about to fire Letty. She went closer to her. Camille pulled the trigger but there no bullets in there. Ellie prepared the gun from behind in secret. "What the hell!" Camille exclaimed. "Ellie, trigger!" Adena commanded. Ellie took out her gun from behind. She pulled trigger and aimed at Camille on right shoulder and shot her. "Target practice." Ellie said as she moved the gun close to her mouth and blowed it. Camille fell down and Adena tackled her. "Like what Letty said. You're going to jail. Ellie, untie Branden as well." Adena commanded as she took out her handcuffs and arrests Camille. "Ms.Disantos. That was so close. How did you know the gun was jammed?" Jordan asked. "Dude I told you guys the gun wasn't loaded with any bullets. It was a good thing I didn't get shot with my gun. And thank god, I would think this plan might work sometimes. Not every time though." Letty answered. Ellie grabs a knife from the shelve and starts cutting the ropes apart to break me free from the chair. "Branden, thank goodness you here... I am so sorry for what I did to you." Ellie cried. "You guys came all the way out here to save me?" I asked. "Yeah, I didn't want you to die. So did the others. I'm sorry I told you about going out with that Shift-Lock leader and saying I love him more than you. I burned the photo to forget about him cause I don't even like him anymore and now he's ugly to be honest. Will you go back to being with me Branden?" Ellie asked. "You know, after you saved me. I want to go back with you. But Ellie, I'm sorry about what I did to you and I felt like I've become a jerk. But it's my fault though not your fault. I love you the way you are. Thank you for saving me. I owe you one. Do you forgive me?" I asked. "Of course I forgive you silly. I love you as well and I'm glad you're fine." Ellie answered. "So how did you guys find me? If I had to wait too long, I could've died." I asked. "Adena told me about this app that tracked your cellphone location. That's how we found out and knew you were in trouble." Ellie answered. "But... why did you guys save me? You guys would be better off without me if I was dead." I asked. "Branden, it's because you are our friend and we don't want you to die. We care about you and you care about as well right? Who is gonna take on the Outlaws Rush and take this city back when you're dead? Who's gonna take down the Demon Lords?" Karina asked. "No one would if I was dead. If I was alive, then I would take down the Demon Lords and take on the Outlaws Rush." I answered. "See that's why we're lucky to have you and that's why we help each other out when we're in danger and trouble. Like when your mother used this app that tracked your cell. We found your location and we came to save you. That's what family is all about. Caring, getting along and protecting each other. That is today's lesson." Karina explained. "I won't forget that Karina. Thank you mom. I'm sorry for my actions as well." I said. "It's okay, Branden. I forgive you. Just don't let it happen again." Adena replied as she picked up Camille and strangled her. "What do you say Ellie? Let's forget the problem and continue our relationship. It's best to put the whole thing behind us. Don't ya think?" I asked. "Yes. Let's forget it." Ellie replied as she and I embraced each other in a hug and then a kiss. "Nice plan, Karina. I knew I had faith in you that this plan of yours would work." Jordan said. "Thanks. That's what I could usually come up with when it comes to technology." Karina replied. "I'll get you Lee! This isn't over!" Camille exclaimed. "I said, shut up. Karina let's go." Adena replied as she slapped her in the face and Karina follows her. "Are you okay Ms.Disantos?" I asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I got a bruise on my cheek but I'll be fine."
