8:45 p.m. Silver Dam. "Hello, this is Cordelia. Our targets are here and I'm on them right now." Cordelia called. "Hello, this is Ellie. I see the where the targets are. Let me know when we're clear and when Branden's here." Ellie called. Cordelia got out of the car and walked to the imposters. "This is so awesome. I know right." A spectator said. "Hi there." Cordelia greeted. "Who the hell are you?" Imposter 1 asked. "Take it easy, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to make a friend. I am Cordelia Martinez. I'm also part of the Drifting Hazards. But I am a friend of Adena Lee and I drive an 180SX." Cordelia answered as she greeted. "How should I put this? Okay, now I want to know is a braking drift. Where you take those corners you go like sliding on those corners and you hear those tires squealing! Do you know how to do a drift?" Cordelia asked. "Uhh Letty told us not to that because it's dangerous." Imposter 1 answered. "It's simple, all you have to do is turn the wheel and start sliding when you have the power. It takes more than a god to do it." Cordelia replied as she hears tires squealing from a distance. "Here comes Branden." Cordelia said in her mind. "Well if you want to know the right answer. There's a god who can eventually perform the fastest drift here. You'll definitely see it trust me. This is what I call real drifting." Cordelia said as she snapped her fingers and the R34 appears which was me behind the wheel drifting. "Whoa! A dragon R34!" Imposter 1 exclaimed as he saw me drifting into the corner like a god. "He's fast. Branden's eventually improving. Even his speed has gotten better." Cordelia said in her mind as she felt shocked and amazed of how much I've been improving. "Is it me or did I just see what that R34 just did?" Imposter 1 asked. "Uh huh." Imposter 2 answered. "This can't possible. No Skyline GT-R can drift like that. Uh we have to go somewhere. Let's go Ellie." Imposter 1 said. "Uh huh." Imposter 2 replied as they were trying to walk away. "Stop right there. Your name is Ellie right?" Ellie asked. The imposters looked back and they look confused. "That's my name too." Ellie said. The imposters looked scared. "Hey Cordelia. Nice job." Ellie said as she punched Cordelia's hand. "Yeah. Thanks, you're definitely improving as well and I'd say you did an awesome job." Cordelia replied. The R34 stopped. Me and Jordan got out of the car and showed our faces. "It was him all along!" The imposters exclaimed. "What should we do those guys?" Cordelia asked. "Well, I'd say we should give them a punishment and we don't forgive them as well. I am not allowing those jerks to ruin our team's reputation and our team work. These guys are a disgrace to The Drifting Hazards. We do not accept any frauds of our members to our team." Ellie said. "We are so sorry!" Imposter 1 said. "Please forgive us." Imposter 2 replied. "Well also, that fake me is so ugly and hideous. I am not gonna forgive you for that. Otherwise people will think I'm a fatty or a fat chick." Ellie said. "I'm sorry! I really am !" Imposter 2 replied. "Nope, I still won't give forgive you. Even if you convince me to apologize. I will have to break you just like what they do in boxing. Instead I am gonna have to break one or two bones at once." Ellie said as she cracked her knuckles. The imposters were crying and begging to be forgiven. Gillian appears and clears her throat. "Huh? Just kidding." Ellie said as she walked away. "We are not going to hurt anyone or it's gonna cause bigger problems. Also FYI our team doesn't like to use violence so you don't have to worry about that. What do you have to worry about is to promise us not to do it again. We know your license plate numbers and addresses. We're not stupid so you can't runaway cause we have a lot of data." Gillian said. "We promise not to do it again." The imposters replied. "You're lucky that I didn't break your bones this time. Next time you do it, I am definitely gonna break your bones and knock you to the ground instead." Ellie said. "Ellie, take it easy. Your teacher and leader is nice and doesn't want to see you get hurt. Nor Branden, he doesn't want you to get hurt as well." Gillian commanded. "Yeah, you have a point, I'm sorry Gillian. I was just a little angry." Ellie replied. "It's okay, Ellie. I forgive you. Just don't do it again. And Branden. You have something to say to those guys?" Gillian asked. "Yes I do." I answered as I walked up to the imposters. "Hey... I heard you hit on a girl named April and a friend of mine hated me for me doing that. For what you did, you definitely got me in trouble." I said. My imposter looked confused. "I want you to get in contact with her and apologize for what you did. Otherwise my name won't be clear so I'd advise you to do it." I said. "Yes, I will do it... Please forgive me, I'm really sorry!" Imposter 1 replied. "Yeah, you better do it. Otherwise, we won't forgive you." Jordan replied. "Alright let's move out!" Gillian said. "Let's grab a bite somewhere! Cordelia, join us. I owe you one so I'm letting you pick the location. I'm treating all of us tonight..." I said. "Alright then, thank you Branden. You guys follow me. I know a good place we can eat at." Cordelia replied as she got in the car. The others and I got in our cars and followed Cordelia to the place she was talking about. "I can't believe we just saw the real Drifting Hazards. These guys are amazing." A guy said. "The guy in the R34 is so hot." A girl said. "Even the girl in the Z. She is so sexy." A guy said. Half an hour later. Kama Sushi. "This place?" Jordan asked. "Yeah, this is what I eat." Cordelia answered. "Jordan, I prefer this place as well. Thanks for that idea Cordelia and Branden." Ellie replied. "This is the only place I could think of that Cordelia wants to eat at. Since she helped us, we've decided to eat here." I said. "Yep, this will be awesome." Cordelia replied. Minutes later. "I wonder what this tastes like. It's grilled already though." I said as I tried a bite of Kaibi Boneless Ribs in Yakiniku. "Oh my gosh! This is awesome! I never eaten this type of meat in my entire life!" I exclaimed as I chewed and took another bite and kept eating. "I know right!" Jordan replied. "I agree, this meat's not bad. But except it's freshly grilled and it's awesome as well. I wonder what's that type of meat." Ellie said as she saw a bowl of grilled chicken wings and chicken kaarage. She took a bite of the grilled chicken wings. "Wow! The chicken is amazing. This is my first time trying. I never knew that real chicken is amazing." Ellie said as she took a bite of her chicken wings. She took another bite and kept eating. "This is common stuff... shabby guys." Gillian replied. A bowl of Bacon Mochi has arrived. "It's bacon mochi. You guys want some?" Cordelia asked. "Yeah sure. I'll try one." I answered as I took a bite of the bacon mochi. "The bacon mochi as awesome as well! I love this place! It's got sweet ass Japanese food." I said as I kept chewing and eating the bacon mochi. "Cordelia, this place is awesome and it's not bad at all. Thank you for that idea and the bacon mochi is yummy." Ellie said as she took a bite of her bacon mochi. "You're welcome. I'm just glad we got to take out those imposters and have a nice dinner." Cordelia replied as she took a bite of her bacon mochi. A couple hours later. Garage. "Back already?" Letty asked as she saw us coming back after the confrontation. "Yeah, we're back. The guys are dealt with and they won't bother us anymore." Gillian answered. "Good, we're on the late league of the 2nd stage. Jordan you're up. Good luck on beating the last league." Letty replied as she gave a pat to Jordan on the shoulder. "Thanks Ms.Disantos. Hey Dom I need you to set me up with a drift car." Jordan commanded. "I have it set up Jordan. What do you think?" Dominic asked. "Already?" Jordan asked. "Follow me and I will show you." Dominic answered as he escorted Jordan to his new drift car. "Whoa! Is that Hashtiger's BRZ?" Jordan asked. "It's a replica of his car and I'd figure you'll like it. It's the best setup I could think of." Dominic answered. "It's got auxiliary gauges, drift harness, bucket racing seats, turbo timer, boost controller, custom steering wheel, and a roll cage." Jordan replied as he opened the door and took a look at the interior. "I'd figured you liked the car. Do you want to look under the hood?" Dominic asked. "Sure." Jordan answered as he used a lever to open the hood and Dominic opened it. "So how much hp does it have?" Jordan asked. "Give it around 630 hp. You should be able to get quicker shift times when drifting. The engine is heavily tuned by the others so you should be able to pack a punch when drifting. Wanna take it for a spin?" Dominic asked as he closed the hood. "Yeah! I wanna practice my drifting skills as well before I face Shift Lock." Jordan answered as he and Dominic got in the car. Minutes later. Marshall Observatory. Stargazers Descent. "Do you know how to drift Jordan?" Dominic asked. "Yes. I do. Hold on to something, it's about to get tense." Jordan answered as he shifted the car to 1st Gear and launched off with a perfect start. "Woah, the boost is rising. Alright, time for an E-Brake drift." Jordan said as he accelerated and yanked the E-Brake. He drifted into the corner at maximum speed. "Holy damn! Jordan's actually pushing it! Maybe he learned it from some drift master. He's gotten better so far. I'm impressed." Dominic said in his mind as he saw Jordan's drifting techniques and his skills. 1 Hour later. Mount Providence. On the road. "It was fun getting back to working with Branden and the others but I wonder when I'll be up for the next race. I don't know for sure but I better keep my game up if I want to race against the other driver ahead." Cordelia said in her mind as she looked at her rear view mirror. "Am I being chased? That car must be fast." Cordelia wondered in her mind. "A Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Who's behind the wheel though?" Cordelia wondered as she looked at her rear view mirror. "Jovanna? Hmm? What should I do? Should I just let you pass or just challenge you to race? Well I don't like to let anyone pass. Not like all of my previous races and it sure as hell not gonna happen in this city. Beat it." Cordelia said in her mind as she shifted to 2nd and floored it. "Alright, that's what I'm talking about. Let's do this." Jovanna said in her mind as she floored it as well. They were racing down from Mount Providence to Liberty Desert. "Wow! It's fast I can keep up with her! You've improved a lot sis!" Jovanna said in her mind. "I'll have to let off a little for her to catch up. This battle is for fun though." Cordelia said in her mind as she lets off the accelerator for a few seconds to let Jovanna catchup. "Alright! Let's keep going!" Cordelia said in her mind as she presses the single NOS button and boosted off fast. Jovanna pressed the double NOS button for a faster boost. "Damn Cordelia! You've gotten better." Jovanna said in her mind. Cordelia lets off the accelerator and slows down. She turns on her hazard lights to signal Jovanna to following her. Lakeside. Denny's. "Jovanna!" Cordelia exclaimed as she got out of her car. "Cordelia!" Jovanna replied as she got out of her car. They ran up to each other and embraced each other in a hug. Inside the restaurant. A minute later. "What are you doing back in town sis?" Cordelia asked. "I came to visit you. There's one more reason why I am here. Remember the Demon Lords?" Jovanna asked. "Yeah, I remember them. The baddest and worst group in this city. Did they do something to you?" Cordelia asked as she took a sip of her hot chocolate. "One of the lieutenants of the Demon Lords kidnapped me and they kept me in this room where I'm like tied up in a chair and they start whipping me with this hard belt and they forced me to be their slave. They also put this tub on my mouth and they start pouring down huge loads of water and cola like they're funneling me or force feeding me and my belly has gotten so big that it starts to be bloated. If I don't be their slave, they'll kill me. That's why they tortured me." Jovanna answered. "And that's why we're here, sis. Some point, we're gonna take them down. But before we start. I am gonna introduce you to a crew of mine that has been on my side. They're not the Demon Lords. They're friendly and they want revenge on the Demon Lords." Cordelia replied. "Alright then." Jovanna said. "I'm gonna call them first." Cordelia replied as she grabbed her phone from her pocket and called me. "Hello. Branden. I have a relative I want to introduce to you if you're cool with it. Are you busy?" Cordelia asked. "No I'm not busy. Is she part of the Demon Lords?" I asked. "Of course not. I'll get there right now so I can  you." Cordelia answered as she hung up. Minutes later. Airfield 73. Garage. "She's here." I said. "Hey guys I want to introduce you guys to my sister. Jovanna this is Branden." Cordelia greeted. "Nice to meet you Branden. My name's Jovanna." Jovanna greeted as she gave me a handshake. "Nice to meet you Jovanna. My name is Branden and I am a friend of your sister a couple years ago." I replied and I gave her a handshake as well. "We have been friends for years back in Palmont. Anyway, this is his girlfriend." Cordelia said. "Hi there, nice to meet you, Jovanna. My name is Ellie Yajima and I am his girlfriend." Ellie greeted as she gave Johanna a handshake. "Nice to meet you Ellie. You seem young though. You wouldn't mind if I ask how old are you?" Jovanna asked. "I don't mind at all. I'm 22 years old." Ellie answered. "22 years old? I just turned 31 years old and I swear you are a young one. Once you get to my age. Things may become tough so just relax and have fun." Jovanna replied as she gave Ellie a pat on the shoulder. "And this is Branden's mother Adena Lee, his trainer Karina Monterey, and his teacher Kaylyn Chan. Now we have our race organizer Gillian Artemis and our best and courageous leader Letty Disantos. She is also Ellie's racing teacher." Cordelia said as she showed Jovanna the members of this team. "Nice to meet you kid. Welcome to The Drifting Hazards." Letty greeted as she gave Jovanna a handshake. "Thanks Letty. You came up with this team name?" Johanna asked. "It was Branden that came up with the team name." Letty answered. "Is there any more members?" Jovanna asked. "Yes, but I suppose they went out for a drive or a test run." Letty answered. "So what brings you here?" I asked. "She wants to be part of the team because the Demon Lords has tortured her. Jovanna explain the story." Cordelia answered. "One of their lieutenants have threatened me and they kept me in this room where I'm tied up in a chair. Then they start force feeding me with lots of water and Cola which lead me to an excessive weight gain. And their leader I believe is the collector. He forced me to work as their slave and they say if you don't. They'll kill me." Jovanna replied. "The Collector right?" I asked. "Yeah, it's The Collector." Jovanna answered. "Now that's so painful. Don't worry, we got your back. We'll be able to get revenge on them once we take down a few street leagues." Adena said as she gave a pat to Jovanna on the shoulder. "Thank you guys. Hey Ellie. Do you wanna go out for a drive? Like a short drive?" Jovanna asked. "Yeah, but why?" Ellie asked. "I just want to observe on how you drive or handle your car. Branden you're next as well." Jovanna answered. "Sure, I don't mind at all. So let's go." Ellie replied as she and Jovanna got in her Z. They drove around the outside of the airfield. "Is there anything you want me to show you?" Ellie asked. "You can just show me how you casually race when you're in battle mode." Jovanna answered. "Alright then, just tell me when to stop if you're gonna feel car sick. Alright, time to kick the pace." Ellie replied as she floored it. "Woah! A rocket start! That's fast!" Jovanna exclaimed in her mind. Ellie stepped on the brakes and shifted the transmission down to 4th gear. She turned into the corner and drifted at max speed. "Holy. This girl's good. No wonder she knows how to control this Z. But how is she doing that? Maybe Letty taught her those techniques but you are good Ellie Yajima." Jovanna said in her mind as she looked at Ellie focusing on the car's speed. They approached a series of curves and hairpins. Ellie performs the same movement but with zero countersteer and a 4 wheel drift. "That same technique again. *sighs* Wow, I'm getting the chills down my spine." Jovanna sighed in her mind. Airfield 73. Garage. "Hey, they're back already." I said as I saw a BRZ coming to the garage. It was Jordan and Dominic. They got out of the car and walked to us. "How was the ride?" Letty asked. "It was awesome, the car handled the way how I want it to be. Dominic tuned the car with the right setup. Now I'm ready to take on the next league." Jordan answered. "You sure are Jordan. Just be careful not to be reckless with it." Dominic replied. "Ellie's back already. Dominic and Jordan I have a new member I want to introduce you to." Letty commanded as she saw the Green Z driving back to the garage. Ellie and Jovanna got out of the Z. "This is Jordan, Branden's best friend and Dominic, our master engineer." Ellie said. "Nice to meet you Jordan." Jovanna greeted. "Nice to meet you too Jovanna. Welcome to the crew. Say, you're Cordelia's sister right?" Jordan asked. "Yes, I am her older sister." Jovanna answered. "Nice to meet you, Jovanna. Would you like me to tune your ride up a bit? You have a car right?" Dominic asked. "I do but I need a backup one." Jovanna answered. "Branden! Do you have enough money?" Dominic asked. "Yes." I answered. "Jovanna needs a backup car. Can you buy one for her or maybe find one for her?" Dominic asked. "Before we do that. Branden, can I see how you drive as well?" Jovanna asked. "You sure? I'm afraid you might get bored of it." I wondered. "I'm sure, I won't get bored. I promise." Jovanna answered. "Alright then, get in." I replied as Jovanna and I got in the R34. "To give you heads up, I usually cruise around 80% so you don't have to hold on to anything but on the end, I push it hard so you'll definitely have to hold on to something." I said. "What does it mean?" Jovanna wondered in her mind. "Alright, enough of this. Let's do this." I said as I shifted down to 2nd Gear. "He's cruising. He's not pushing hard though right now. But why?" Jovanna wondered in her mind. "Alright. Here it goes." I said as I floored it. "Woah! Now he's actually pushing it. He's at the same skill level as Ellie but both of them are gods at racing. Man I guess this kid's good as well." Jovanna said in her mind. Minutes later. Airfield 73. "I guess they're done already." Letty said as she saw me returning to the garage. "I wonder how the run turned out like." Cordelia replied. Jovanna and I got out of the car. "Jovanna, the reason why I usually cruise around 80% and I push it hard at the end is because people are usually scared of me driving. Here's a story that might interest you. Back in Palmont, Ellie and I went out on a drive. She took shotgun while I was driving. When I drove at 80%, she wasn't scared and when I pushed it hard. She was thrilled like she's in a roller coaster. Ellie, remember that drive?" I asked. "Yeah I remember that drive." Ellie answered. "You two are too good. But you were cruising around 80% and pushed it at the end. Ellie pushed hard the whole run. Ellie. I think you should continue racing." Jovanna suggested. "You know Jovanna. On second thought, at the end. I'm gonna quit racing." Ellie replied. "But why would you want to quit?" Jovanna asked. "The truth is I am pregnant and I am going to have a baby with in a few weeks." Ellie answered. "Understandable, usually if you have given birth to a baby. You decide to quit racing and focus on the child. Lee, what about you?" Jovanna asked. "I would say I'm gonna do the same thing. But what she meant by at the end is when we win the Outlaws Rush is the time I retire. I want to take care of our child so she and I can be happy that we're being parents. For now, I don't know." I answered. "I respect your decisions. If you guys wanna retire, it's okay. I won't stop you." Jovanna replied. "That's right, we don't have the right to force you guys to keep racing. You guys are the aces and you two can decide when it's time to quit racing and when you're done. Alright, we're on the last league. Once we're done, we'll be challenged to a canyon duel. Stay focused." Letty commanded. My phone was ringing on my back pocket. "Who is calling me at this time? Hello." I called. "Now? Uh, I'm not busy. But sure." I said as I hung up.. "Mom, I have to go somewhere. I'll meet up with you guys later." I said as I got in my car and drove to the destination. To be continued.
