A day later. Mansion. 8:45 p.m. "So how was that race against that Takayuki squealer?" Ellie asked. "You know, I was expecting him to be like idk friendly I guess but now I know he's much of a betrayer." I answered. "So now which league we're up against?" Letty asked. "Our next attack will be on the One Percent Club. Ellie, you'll be racing them and we'll support you in this as well." I answered. "Is it a chick in a Huarya BC?" Ellie asked. "Yes, it's a girl Melayna Lopez. I'm assure you remember racing her on Lookout Pass back in Palmont?" Letty asked. "Uh... yeah, now I remember, I guess she wants a rematch against me after I beat her." Ellie answered. "Don't worry, Ellie. We got your back and we'll support you in this battle. Just don't sweat it." Karina replied as she gave a pat on the shoulder to Ellie. "Thanks guys, I owe you one. Now let's win this!" Ellie said. Liberty Desert. "Oh god. It's you." Melayna said. "Lopez? You haven't forget who I am huh?" Ellie asked. "Ew, no. I wouldn't be caught dead near that car accident you're driving." Melayna answered. "Hmph, that's a nice way to say that." Ellie replied. "I don't have to be nice to nobodies who are trying to ruin my fun. But I've been expecting you. You and your annoying crew. And it's Supernova to you." Melayna said. "Huh, we'll see about that." Ellie replied. "Tiffy3000, show this nobody slut she's trash." Melayna said. "Hope her racing is better than her handle." Ellie wondered in her mind. "4.5 million followers wouldn't say the difference." Melayna replied. They revved their cars and once the starter counts down to 3. They launched off fast. The Z had a faster start than the supercars on the One Percent Club. "They're fast, but I'm assure I can keep up with them." Ellie said in her mind as she accelerated hard and then caught up with the GT3 RS. "You're not gonna pass me that easily jerkwad." Tiffy said in her mind as she was trying to block the Z but Ellie made her move on the 1st lane and accelerated to her maximum potential. "What?! But how?!" Tiffy wondered in her mind as she got passed. " *sighs* Just give me that opening." Ellie sighed in her mind as she shifted up to 5th and accelerated hard. They were approaching down to the city entrance and the Barrio. "I see it!" Ellie exclaimed in her mind as she saw the opening and took it to pass the next opponent. She passed him and they were almost to the goal that is by Billionaires Row and Lakeside. "A bridge?! The goal's up ahead, don't let up girl!" Ellie exclaimed in her mind as she activated the nitro and accelerated. She crossed the goal fast and stopped. "Racking up that win streak for the team." Ellie said. "Did you win? Heh, wasn't even watching." Melayna asked. "Seriously, what's your problem?" Ellie asked. "My problem is, I'm getting tired of every two-bit crew with a hero complex around here thinking they're somehow special. First it was that kid in that M3 GTR, now it's you." Melayna answered. "Says the one who lost to me back in Palmont." Ellie replied. "You're all old news, and that bothers you. That's all this is. You know you need to get through me to get to the Outlaw's Rush. I promise you, with what we have, you won't even get near that race." Melayna suggested. "How's Queen Melayna treating you now?" Letty asked. "That's SuperNova to you, commoner. But seriously, it's weird. I'm not understanding what's going on." Ellie answered. "These kids aren't complicated, Yajima. They're bored trust-fund babies." Letty replied. "That's the point. But their racing is really strong that it gives me the worst kind of chills down my spine that it starts to amplify the pressure against me. Like no joke, it feels like they're professional drivers. And some of the things Melayna said... I don't know. I'm probably overthinking this." Ellie said. "You're not the type to overthink, Ellie. Keep your guard up. Now you've got me curious. I'll get Branden to race at the ARK Tower on where Melayna's hosting the next race." Letty replied. Hours later. ARK Tower. I was up against one of the One Percent Club racers. "Get a good view of the city while you can, nobody." Melayna said. "I guess you called the wrong person then how Ms.Cockroach?" I asked as I revved it hard and then I launched off the start. "If the M3 can handle this, then I know I can win it. Let's turn up the heat!" I exclaimed in my mind as I shifted up to 4th gear and accelerated hard. Meanwhile. Lakeside. "I have your next assignment. You'd best be ready." The Broker said. "Isn't my cover blown?" Adena asked. "No need for cover anymore. Time to move against the Collector." The Broker answered. "Look, I don't care about the Collector. We're after Nova." Adena replied. "Take out Nova and the Collector falls. We both get what we want. I'm sending help... You'll know who it is when you get there. Letty will join along as well so I'll contact her for help as well when I get the chance." The Broker suggested. She drove off and headed to the location in Billionaire's Row. "Hey, you the guy?" Adena asked as she saw a guy opening a door and hopping in the car. "Shh... not so loud. You never know who could be listening in." Underground Soldier answered as he cuts her off. "Yeah, you're definitely the guy." Adena replied. "We have a few Demon Lords servers that I need to extract data from. Hope you're fast." Underground Soldier said. "Wouldn't be here if I wasn't. Name's Adena, by the way." Adena replied. "Underground Soldier, Shift Lock. Greetings." Underground Soldier greeted. "That's a drifting league, right? You know Jordan, then." Adena asked. "You mean Jordan Douglas? Yeah. He proved he was a true warrior for the cause. A good soldier." Underground Soldier answered. "Then I am also assure you know my son or some chick that drives a Z33?" Adena asked. "Hold on.. is it Yajima?" Underground Soldier asked. "Yeah, it's Ellie Yajima." Adena answered. "I think I've might've seen her but I don't think I know her or I don't think I've talked to her before when I was at one of my races." Underground Soldier replied. "Yep, I don't think he knows who she is but I know my son got jealous for sure." Adena wondered in her mind as she shifted up to 5th gear and accelerated. "But I am assure you can like... I don't know... hack into these things? Or whatever you can do." Adena asked. "Please. Any script kiddie can crack a firewall... This is a full-on digital infiltration. All I need you to do is keep the car steady." Underground Soldier answered. Ark Tower. "One slip up, come on!" I exclaimed in my mind as I was trying to find the opening to pass the Corvette. When I saw the opening on the 1st corner and it was on the final lap, I took it and passed it. "Okay, now hold on to it until the end cause this is the final lap, don't let up!" I said in my mind as I floored it and then I pressed both of the nos buttons. Then it caused my car to go faster and accelerate hard. I felt like I was warping in the zone. I warped on the last corner and crossed the finish line first. "Haha! Yeah!" I exclaimed as I crossed the goal. "Congrats, you won a car race." Melayna replied. "Huh, it sounds like you don't seem so happy about it." I said. "It didn't work the way it was supposed to be. That's so lame. Whatever. Looks like we can't get rid of your girl this time. Next race starts at the solar project. Show up, don't get in an accident on the way. I don't care." Melayna replied. I took out my phone and called Ms.Disantos. "Hey Branden." Letty greeted. "Okay, something is definitely up. I just beat Melayna's crew again, and afterwards I caught her saying "It didn't work the way it was supposed to." ." I replied. "What didn't?" Letty asked. "I dunno. But then she said the Demon Lords had some sort of stake in these races. Ms.Disantos, what the hell's going on?" I asked. "Your mother's working on the tech she's getting right now but we have a few we got from the Demon Lords earlier. She's still trying to out what it is, but it might be connected. Keep your head in the game and try to ignore Melayna, she's only trying to mess your head so don't let her get to you. I reminded Ellie that as well." Letty answered as she hung up. "I understand." I replied. Rustway Offices. "Pull up here. Come on now... and we're good to go." Underground Soldier said as he was hacking the terminal servers and got back in the car. "1st one's down. But did you find something interesting?" Adena asked as she stepped on it and exited the office area. "Found something? Yes. Good? No. This is... weird." Underground Soldier answered. "Weird." Adena wondered. "Any weirder." Underground Soldier replied. They were pulling up to the Rustway Alley and she stopped her car. "Got it." Adena said as she hacked the terminals and gave the computer to Underground Soldier. "Great, let's go." Underground Soldier replied. "Still weird?" Adena asked as she accelerated. "Still really, really weird." Underground Soldier answered. "May I please have a hint?" Adena asked. "I'm seeing a deluge of tracking data for different types of cars. Huarya BC, Nissan GT-R, Chevy C10... any of these ring a bell?" Underground Soldier asked. "I think I've seen those cars before but I don't remember where." Adena answered as she drove to the Elysium Underground Parking Lot. "Alright. Just do your. You know. Hacking thing or stuff." Adena suggested. "Roger, Roger. Data retrieved, let's move." Underground Soldier replied as he hacked the terminals. "Woah!" Underground Soldier exclaimed. "What?" Adena asked. "Oh nothing... Nothing. Something looked off for a second. Everything's alright. Still getting stat tracking on those cars." Underground Soldier answered. "Don't like the sound of that." Adena replied. Liberty Desert. "Okay, I'm here. Now what?" Karina asked. "Oh. God, sorry. Last-minute change in venue." Melayna answered. "Are you friggin joking?!" Karina asked. "Better hurry up, Monterey Bay. Don't want to miss the race." Melayna answered. "Damn, I should've known! I've got to make it there fast!" Karina exclaimed in her mind as she shifted up and stepped on the accelerator. She drove from here to the billionaire's row. "If I can make it, then I know I can!" Karina said in her mind as she looked at her watch. "5 minutes is when the race can start. I know I'll make it for sure if I at least keep my foot down on that accelerator!" Karina exclaimed as she floored it hard and activated the single nos button driving all the way down to the city. "We're here! Just in time. Now we can start for real." Karina said. "The nobody teacher's here to save us all, thank God! We wouldn't have started without you, anyway. The whole point is to grind you into dust." Melayna replied. "Well the only dust that matters is the kind you'll be eating." Karina said. "Oooh. Nobody teacher's up on her cliches." Melayna replied. "Got any smart-ass remarks for me, Melayna?" Karina asked. "Nothing I didn't say in my web show. You and your crew are great for views, T-Y!" Melayna answered. The cars were revving. Karina revved her car as well, she shifted up to 1st as soon as the car's launched off the line fast. "Here we go!" Karina exclaimed as she started off. She passed the 3 cars ahead of her and she was in 5th place. "There we go." Karina said in her mind as she passed the cars and accelerated hard. Northshore Motel. "Okay... Damnit, I think I've tripped something." Underground Soldier said as he was hacking the servers but a wire tripped and it caused an alarm. "Shit. Screw the servers, we're getting out of here!" Adena replied as she reversed out of the area and drove off but then the cops appeared. "What did you do?!" Adena asked. "I was spoofed! I should have been untraceable!" Underground Soldier answered. "Well, yeah. Now we're pretty goddamn detected right now. Hold on to your seats!" Adena replied as she accelerated hard and side swiped the cop car next to her. "Did you at least manage to get anything?!" Adena asked. "You should see the granularity of this data, I've never see anything like it! Shifting patterns, breaking reactions... Hell, even road conditions." Underground Soldier answered. "What the hell could they be doing with all this?" Adena wondered as she braked and dodged the cop that was gonna do a running block in front of her when she dodged it. "Adena, watch it!" Underground Soldier exclaimed. "Alright, you wanna do this? Fine!" Adena wondered in her mind as she bumped the cop from behind and pushed it to the guardrail. "Good luck with those repairs!" Adena exclaimed. "So strange, I'm running the same encryption from when I hacked Bright River Security." Underground Soldier replied. "Uh... you... hacked into a private security company?" Adena asked. "Um, no? Maybe?" Underground Soldier answered as he stuttered. Wangan. "Almost there..." Karina said in her mind as she floored it to keep up with the car ahead of her in 1st place. "Just one slip up, come on!" Karina exclaimed as she kept accelerating hard. Then she saw the outside of the corner and passed it. "There!" Karina exclaimed in her mind as she saw the opening and took it to pass her opponent. "Finish line's ahead! Don't let up!" Karina exclaimed as she accelerated hard and activated both of the nitrous buttons for maximum nitrous pressure. Then she crossed the line first and won the race. "I clinched it!" Karina exclaimed in her mind as she crossed the line. "Well... I bet you're pleased with yourself." Melayna replied. "You could say that, I hope all of your One Percent Club fans were watching." Karina said. "They couldn't care less about a nobody teacher racing my worst racers. But you know who was watching? A Miss Mackenzie Nova." Melayna replied. "How do you know?" Karina asked. "Let's just say... The Demon Lords have a unique stake in this race. Well anyway. Smile for the camera. Nobody teacher, because it's always on. See you next race." Melayna answered. Silver Canyon. "I can see why The Broker called you, you're amazing." Underground Soldier said. "You really think so? I can be a little hard sometimes but okay." Adena replied as she drove to the destination after escaping from the cops. "You got everything?" Adena asked. "What? Oh, yeah... Yeah." Underground Soldier answered as he stuttered. "Well, that's convincing." Adena replied. "Hey, it's finished. We couldn't get to all the locations." Adena called. "So I heard. Stand by. If Underground Soldier finds anything useful, I'll contact you. There's a rigged race going on in the city for the One Percent Club and I put your name on it so you can see what they have in store for the race and the tech they have." The Broker called. "I understand." Adena replied as she hung up. 30 minutes later. Billionaires Row.  "Okay Lee. Try to see what kind of they tech have in store. Keep your mouth shut and just don't say a word during the race cause you have that outfit you're wearing again." The Broker called. "My crew is starting to annoy me. Can't even take care of a nobody angel from nowhere. They lose this round, it's you and the nobody." Melayna said. "If you wanna do this? Then fine!" Adena wondered in her mind as she revved it hard. Once the other cars launched off the start, she had the faster start but they were on the left and right side of the street. Garage. "Really?! She's racing against the One Percent Club?! Alright, I'll check back within a few." Jordan called as he ran to me and Ellie. "Guys, I just heard that Ms.Lee's running against the One Percent Club. Isn't that awesome?!" Jordan asked. "It can be, but my mom has to know that these guys are twice as fast from our last battle on the mountains." I answered. "So you're saying?" Jordan asked. "He's saying they have a plan that may attack her but she knows she's faster than her opponent so if Ms.Lee can tough it out for this one, she'll definitely be able to clinch the win." Ellie answered. Mount Providence. "Come on, Lee. What are you doing damnit?! Step on it!" Adena exclaimed in her mind as she stepped on it and accelerated hard. She saw the opening of the inside of the turn when her opponent was on the outside and she took it. "There it is! That's the point! Hold the lead once you pass her!" Adena exclaimed in her mind as she passed her opponent on the opening of the outside and took it. The 911 Carrera S was showing a blue aura as it was warping through all of the sections. The car Lee was given started to spread its wings as it was like a blue bird flying through the sky. No one could keep up with the 911's cruising speed as it was so fast it couldn't stop and all it was doing was keep going and pushing hard until the end. They were on the highway section that goes back to Silver Rock. "Almost there... come on!" Adena said in her mind as she strained her eyes a bit as she was almost close to the goal. She activated both of the NOS buttons for maximum boost pressure and accelerated hard as she crossed the line. "Atta Girl!" Adena exclaimed as she did donuts after crossing the line. "Lame, lame, lame, lame, Lame!!! You messed with the wrong HBIC. Nobody. Let's do this." Melayna exclaimed. "Okay, you need to relax and you're calling the wrong person nobody and that's not my name. I think you're mentioning Yajima. Once she beats you, why don't you tell her what's gonna happen?" Adena asked. "Have you ever tried, being a different person? Maybe more people would like you." Melayna asked. "Well says the one who trash talks but one of us craves attention here Melayna and I guarantee you it's not me." Adena answered. "Oh, spare me." Melayna replied. Hours later. 7:45 p.m. "Letty, we got the word that they're gonna lead for this run." Adena said. "I guess one of them made that decision after Branden's battle. She might use that method to take us out which doesn't matter. We'll still have the upper hand right away... So my point of view Ellie. The third half with hairpin turns is critical. Watch her speed and follow closely. When it's right, just take the opening and overtake, even if it's on the 1st round!! Do not hold back." Letty replied. Ellie gave a nod and got in her car. "You're about to race the girlfriend's winner of the Outlaw's Rush." Ellie said. "I love when you trash talk. It's just talk, and the trash comes with you." Melayna replied. "Okay! The countdown begins!" Adena exclaimed. "This battle's gonna be awesome!!" Jordan exclaimed. "It sure is." Jovanna replied. " *sighs* I don't know guys." I said. "Is something wrong?" Jovanna asked. "I have a bad feeling that Melayna has a plan up on her sleeve that's gonna blindside Ellie. I'm not sure where but I know for sure Yajima's chasing and I have a bad feeling that it might turn out wrong." I answered. "You're worrying too much dude. Just relax and watch the race." Jordan replied. "3, 2, 1, GO!!" Adena exclaimed as she started the countdown and the cars launched off the start. "Hellloooo Lopez Babies! This is SuperLopez LIVE from the race track!" Melayna greeted. "What the?! Are you live streaming this?!" Ellie asked. "Grab some snacks and grabs some friends for tonight's main event! Melayna Versus The Yajima!" Melayna answered. Starting Point. "Huarya BC and Z33 Fairlady. Both of them come with lightweight bodies and chassis. Both of them are also twin turbocharged but the Z's stock output would be NA. They are one of the winding road machines on this course." Letty said. "An expectedly slow start for Yajima. Let's see if she can move her feet fast enough to get that Flintstone-Mobile moving!" Melayna exclaimed. "Those drivers know the car's true potential. But then... this battle is going to depend on the drivers instinct... Melayna Lopez, the Huarya's driver... and Ellie Yajima, the Z33's driver. This battle is gonna come down to them listening to their cars for a moment and it's how the battle will turn out from my calculations." Letty said. "Well I understand your point of view but it seems like you make it think that the cars sound alive." Adena replied. "Maybe so. But if the driver doesn't listen to the heart of the car will instantly lose this battle!" Letty said.
