We reached the house where the murder had occurred and saw a car parked out front. Coming out of the house was Jin with a pair of gloves on. His shoes were covered in some type of fabric. "Okay, I brought some extra gloves and shoe covers. I need you to put them on before we go in. If you can't deal with strong smells, Jimin, I suggest you put a mask on. Sensitive eyes shouldn't walk into the house. The same rule applies for sensitive stomachs," Jin said, most of the things said were pointed at Jimin though.
All of them nodded and out on the 'protection' as they were instructed, Jimin being the only one to put on a mask. He was preparing him for the sight with the images of what 'Jihyun' had done. Jimin doesn't think that there is anything worse than that. "You ready?" A voice said next to him. Jimin looked up at Jungkook, replying, "What could be worse?" Jungkook nodded, understanding what Jimin was insinuating, and walked into the house.
Jimin could smell death, even though the mask he wanted to barf. But he already got himself into this so he continued to follow everyone else. "Last chance to turn back. Once you've seen it, it stays." Jimin continued, ignoring Jin's warning, signaling that he was going to go in. Jin opened the door but Jimin had yet to see the sight. Jungkook and Jackson were in front of him and were too tall for him to see. "Oh my God. Who could've done this?" Jackson whispered, shock taken over. Yes, he had heard a very descriptive story of how Jungkook's parents were murdered but he wasn't prepared for this. Jimin walked into the room and saw nothing, only could smell that death had occurred in here. "Where's the body? I don't see it."
"Look up."
And when he did look up, he fell backward gasping. There, on the ceiling, an elderly woman's body is nailed. Her chest had a humongous slit going down the middle, starting from her neck to the bottom of her stomach. Jimin wanted to throw up at the sight of her insides as there was nothing there. Jimin looked up, towards her head, thinking it might help the nausea he was feeling. The thought was turned down immediately as he saw her eye socket, naked, without the eye.
"This doesn't seem right," Jungkook finally spoke, making Jimin look at him. "If you look at her chest, her guts are gone. My parents still had their insides. It's almost like he's trying to trick us."
"Or say something," Jin said as he came up to the body, inserting his hand into the opening. When he pulled his hand out, an awful noise could be heard. That's not the thing that caught Jimin's attention, though. It was the tiny piece of white paper that came out of the body.
"When I looked earlier, I was confused too but found her, um, remains in the bed. He had covered them up. So, that got me thinking as to what he was trying to do. I only realized that he may have left something behind that he wanted us to see."
"What does it say," Jungkook said. "It could be for the police or for us." But Jin shook his head. "If he wanted the police to find it, he would have gone to a different neighborhood." Jin opened the letter, eyes widening. "Your parents would be disappointed, Jungkook. Their death was in vain, seeing as you just keep running away from me. But now I've found you. We'll be meeting sometime soon. Maybe even that boy you've been hanging around could meet me. Yours truly, J."
Jungkook let out a low growl, his snarl rumbling the house and the people in it to the core. His eyes were blazing, turning a deeper shade of brown, almost black. But his voice came out low, a whisper. "He will not touch Jimin. He can just fuck himself if he thinks he can lay a hand on what's mine." Jungkook was scary, it's been this way since Jimin had first met him. He's very caring about what he loves and will do anything in his power to save them. Even if it means killing someone or something.
"Jungkook, calm down. The best way to figure something out is by being calm and have your thoughts collected." Jackson said, these being the first word he's said since entering the room. "We need to leave. Now is not the time to figure something out. We've spent to much time here and could get caught. This woman has family coming over. I saw a letter downstairs saying something about a reunion tonight. I'm sure they'll be here any second so we need to leave. We can meet up at my place." Jin said, still calm but rushing his words.
They all walked out, closing the door behind them and carefully walked down the stairs, towards their cars. And soon enough, they were on the road.
Jimin looked up at Jungkook, almost as if he wanted to say something but didn't have the guts to say it. "What is it Jimin," Jungkook must have seen the look on his face. "Is that how your parents died?" Jimin blurted out. He didn't want to bring it up, but his curiosity got the best of him. "Yes." It was quiet, so quiet that Jimin almost asked him to say it again. "Oh." The rest of the car ride was quiet.
Jimin rushed out of the car towards the house that Jackson just parked in front of. It was his house, where Namjoon was probably working with Yoongi. Bursting through the door, he could smell the scent of Jin's cooking and Namjoon's cologne. Home, that's all he could think. He raced up the stairs and burst into the studio. He saw Namjoon, sitting in his seat with his headphones on, moving his head sluggishly. Yoongi was on the couch sleeping. He ran to Namjoon and hugged him from behind. Namjoon didn't look behind him, thinking his husband was the one hugging him. "Jin, I'm working. Is dinner almost done?" When he didn't get a response, he turned his head and teared up. "Jimin." He cried out, standing up and hugging the crap out of the boy. "Hey, dad."
