She was as pure as an angel.

As beautiful as a sunset.

As free as a butterfly.

As lovely as a rose.

As graceful as a swan.

As hopeful as a dove...

As delicate as a dandelion.

Avery was all of those things, but soon a man will come and turn her life upside down. He will turn her sparkling eyes into lifeless dull ones, and all of the things that she ever was will only be a faint memory. She will never be the same after this. She will be crushed like a flower, no where to escape. He will treat her with so much hatred and anger, she will spend so many years in the dark. Chained. Her freedom will vanish only by the age of nine as she looses all of her hope. Her beauty and innocence will be swallowed by that man, the man with no feelings. He is also known to be a king.

But to her he is not a king, to her he is as cold as a monster.

"Run!"

It was the only word that echoed through Avery's tiny ears. The only word that she grasped onto from her mother, she will never see her again.

She sprinted under the tall legs of the armed men, not daring herself to look back. Avery was frightened to see them kill her mother. The only thing she had in her mind was her mother's last word. She ran as fast as she could into the deep freezing forest.

Her feet turned numb from running in the cold for so long, she decided to sit behind a tree and try to warm up with the fabric of her dress. She wondered why armed men broke into her house and why did her mother tell her to run?

Avery looked around her surroundings in the freezing snow and heard loud stomping getting closer and closer to where she was. She panicked and quietly stood up and tried to wobble somewhere else to hide, but it was too late.

"Avery Tornment." Avery felt a strong hand tightly wrapped around her little delicate wrist, she slowly turned around to meet a tall stranger's piercing black eyes glancing down at her shining blue ones. She felt her heart bouncing against her chest.

"W-who are you?" Avery asked shakily.

"Where are my manners! I apologize for that my young lady. My name is Ray Dormin, I am the handsome leader of the Warriors." Ray replied proudly. "You are coming with me, it is my duty to take you to the Varmin Territory."

"I am not going to the forbidden lands!" She said backing away. Long ago, the world has been divided into two. The Varmin Territory is known for evil, everyone calls it the forbidden lands.

"It is not a choice, it is the king of the Varmin Territories orders to take you to him." Ray explained. He whistled and suddenly a ginormous dragon came out of the sky and landed next to him. The dragon had terrifying red blood shot eyes, it let out a deafening roar as it blew out fire burning the trees close by.

"We must go now." He said as he threw Avery on top of the dragon.

"No! Please, I want to go home!" She begged as the dragon flew off into the sky. Into the Varmin Teritory, the forbidden lands. On her way to meet the man that will ruin her.

A strong leader named Austin Harkley waited for the arrival of Ray and Avery next to the giant castle of the forbidden lands. He spotted the dragon landing next to him and glanced at Ray.

"I see you have found the little girl the King asked for." Austin said.

"Of course I did." Ray replied as he got off the dragon with Avery.
