Here is a picture of what I imagine the dragon to look like! :)
*~*~*~*
Avery walked slowly up the stairs after being washed and fed. She was being taken to king Hageshadow's chambers. Belinda had to help her because she was just too weak. Her heavy chains were hurting her wrists as she walked. She thought the stairs were endless because each painful step she took was becoming more unbearable. However, her eyes were glowing in discovery. She was finally seeing something different; she had been in the basement for so many years that she had forgotten many things. When they finally reached the end of the stairs, Belinda turned to her.
"Avery," Belinda whispered holding her shoulders.
"You have to promise me something," Avery could sense the sadness in her voice.
"What is it?" Avery asked looking right into her eyes.
"Do not disobey him, do as he says. He is really dangerous my dear, he can hurt you. Promise me you will follow his commands," Belinda's eyes filled with tears. Avery hesitated but then smiled at her.
"I promise." She said nodding. Belinda turned to the long hallway in front of them and helped Avery to keep walking. When they were in front of a big wooden door, Belinda opened it revealing an enormous room. Avery was forced to narrow her eyes due to the moonlight coming in through the window. It stung her eyes painfully, they weren't used to this amount of light. She closed them quickly.
"Belinda," She called out squeezing Belinda's hand.
"I'm here, my dear. Keep them closed." Belinda said covering Avery's eyes with a blindfold.
"You'll use this until your eyes get accustom to the light again," Avery relaxed her shoulders, the blindfold calmed the stinging sensation in her eyes. Belinda guided her inside the room.
"I want to see the room," Avery said excitedly. She wanted to peak through the window, she wanted to see everything.
"You will see it soon but right now, it would be painful for you." Belinda explained seriously.
"Now, sit down." Avery followed her and her knees met a soft surface.
"Is... Is this a bed?" Avery wondered caressing the silky sheets.
"Yes, it is his bed," Avery retracted her hand quickly.
"This is the king's bed?" She grimaced in digust. Austin had told her many stories about the things the king did to women in his chambers. She didn't want to imagine the things he had done on this bed.
"Yes, now sit down."
"No." Avery replied firmly.
"Avery, cooperate with me."
"These sheets must be dirty, Belinda. I do not want to touch them,"
"These are new sheets, Avery. I changed them myself this afternoon, trust me," Avery hesitated for a moment but reluctantly sat on the bed. She heard the chains moving.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm attaching you to his bed."
"You are chaining me to his bed?" Avery asked scowling at her even when she knew Belinda couldn't see her covered eyes.
"Yes,"
"Why?"
"Those were his orders,"
"I do not want to be here, please take me back to the dungeons." Avery pleaded shifting uncomfortably on the bed.
