Species name: colossal inkling

Evolved from: colossal squid, otherwise known as the Antarctic squid or the giant cranch squid


Standing at a whopping six feet tall, these inklings are not easy to miss. Their tentacles are a brilliant red color, and the suckers have hooks attached to them. These held distinguish a young colossal inkling from young inklings of other species. A stocky, muscular build allows them to wield even the heaviest of weapons with ease. However, they are not as fast as other species of inklings. Nonetheless, they are capable fighters. 

At a quick glance, it is easy to mistake a colossal inkling for a giant inkling. Nonetheless, there are a few key differences between the species. For starters, colossal inklings have a sturdy frame, compared to the leaner frame of the giant inklings. The weapon attached to the suckers differs as well - colossal inklings have hooks, giant inklings have spikes. Most noticeable of all is the size of the tentacles. A colossal inkling's tentacles are slightly longer than average. A giant inkling's tentacles, on the other hand, are both much longer and skinnier than that of a normal inkling.
