Species name: Grimaldi inkling

Evolved from: Grimaldi scaled squid

Grimaldi inklings certainly are among the more interesting seakind to inhabit our world. Take a look at those tentacles! Not only are they a rusty brown color,  they also are covered in scales. These scales are semi-permeable, allowing some liquids to flow in and out easier than others. This extends to ink battles, where they have a higher ink resistance than other inklings. It takes a few extra hits to splat them, and enemy ink on the ground isn't going to damage them that much. However, on the other hand, it is also more difficult for them to absorb ink from pools of their own color. Grimaldi inklings certainly are unique among all the different seakind.
