It was a long few hours, my meeting with Vera. But it was more friendly than ever before- her presence in my quarters uplifting, even Logan and Steven came in at one point. It was obvious to me that both men felt awkward about being there, but still sitting on my couches across from us, with only a few questions from Logan, and forced participation from myself to Steven.

Lexalore's presence lasted for only a mere hour at the end- as he informed us of V's recommendation for leisure time to rest as this was the start of something very lengthy for all of us. So with ah heavy heart, having enjoyed my time with people in my quarters- however little time spent, it felt nice. Nice to have friends, well, Steven and Logan are guards, but however necessary, still nice to have them there.

My eyes had barely closed atop my pillow, my armor freshly off when my alarm rang out. "Transmission incoming. Earth." In a panic my eyes widen and my body flails about as I throw on a pathetic excuse for a cover- the same brown robe Vera gave me back after the meeting. "They got into my system. How?" I questioned allowed, jumping across my room in haste, frantically throwing on a helmet, a light chest piece over the robe to hold it closed, and quickly coming back right as my system started to flair more.

They were good.

My Brain seemed to rack for far too long in disbelief at their ease of assessing the secure system I have here in my room. Even the main system that controlled the ship took years to understand for even our most trained technicians. Here in my personal quarters was my personal security system, I created it to change every month with a new algorithm each time. It would take extensive knowledge to breach.

It was a strangle of panic and curiosity as I followed the encryption back track and followed the signal. Ever step was a curse uttered from my lips, cursing the being that was proving this humans own worth right before my eyes.

I had underestimated humans.

A species so low on technology, I was certain there weren't many left who could use technology like this. Encrypt data to a breaking point where every move forward was twenty steps back.

This was proof of their intelligence. I was, giddy. Kicking my chair out from under me, I found my hands moving faster as I typed faster than I ever had before. Key bindings barely winning over my competitor as I found their location.

Berlin.

"YES!" I wailed, going to block the signal when a video screen appeared before me. It was still lagging but I could hear voices. Human voices- in English. "No No-!!" I hissed under my breath, a mumble of an English curse words fresh on my tongue.

"W-Was that a voice?" A soft mumble came, the English words flickering into my ear, followed very shortly by the sound of continued clicking. A keyboard perhaps, I wondered, never having heard one. "I'm in." A masculine voice sounded from behind my now blank screen. My body froze hearing the words spoken allowed before. It was way different than a tv show or music.
