Chapter 17: Power of Converge

I stood looking at an unconscious devil. Tyler lay spread across the floor. "What are we going to do with him?" Callie asked. I walked over leaning down to Tyler.

"Think Fly," I said erasing his memory. "Now we just leave it to the boys," I said giving Sulfus a cute grin. Sulfus and Zane picked him up, and carried him downstairs through the lobby dragged him through, and they made sure that he was in immortal form.

I went back to my room and laid on the bed. The lonely room almost scared me. I turned on the TV to the news, and laid back. I noticed a light flashed in the bathroom, and didn't hesitate to see what it was. The obvious explanation was to assume it was Quinn, but it wasn't. I saw Lucas standing in my presence. He looked very worried. Lucas was one of the only people who could ever find me, but only in an emergency. What was going on?

Back at the golden school Cabiria and Kabale were talking to Professor Temptel. "Where the hell is he?" Kabale asked.

"I honestly don't know, but I have no doubt he is with that angel," she said.

"Why the hell wouldn't he tell me? That angel-bitch took him away from me. When did he stop talking to me when I need him the most? Where the hell did he go, and why can't he tell us about it?" Kabale yelled and clinched her fists.

"It's going to be alright," Cabiria said putting her hand on Kabale's shoulder.

"Could we go look for them?" Kabale asked.

"That's not a good idea. If the Low Spears found out that you were on a quest to find Raf and Sulfus, they would likely try to find them first and persecute them. I would leave it alone for now," Professor Temptel said.

"I understand," Kabale said, and shed a tear then two. She turned to face the class, who was all wondering how a devil could dry. She walked strait out with Cabiria not far behind.

"Dolce, have you heard from Raf recently?" Urie asked going through Raf's stuff. Dolce shook her head no.

"I'm trying to see if anything could tell us where she went," she added.

"It's not right to go through her stuff like that, but it's all we can do right now," Dolce said.

"I agree," Miki said from the door.

"Maybe we should ask Arken for help." Urie said.

"Bad idea. He would likely tell us to say out of it, and then we would get nowhere," Miki debated.

"I know. Let's ask that guy Lucas; Raf's half-brother," Dolce said.

"Great idea," the other two said in unison. They headed out the door looking for Lucas, but they had no idea where to look.

Sulfus and Zane dragged Tyler through the broad city, and made sure there were no other devils or angels around. Being in immortal form they could sneak through without looking like the confessed a murder. They found an old motel, and an empty room. They placed Tyler in the floor of the empty room, and left. They walked through the empty streets, and looked around. "Okay let's get a glimpse of things. Basilisk activate inverse metamorphosis," Sulfus said.

"Kirra activate inverse metamorphosis," Zane said. They were in human form walking through the streets at night. To Sulfus and Zane, this was like paradise. They walked to the wine store, and of course bought wine, and they stayed a while to check out their surroundings. With no tourists lurking, it was much easier at night.

I stood facing Lucas. "Raf, we should talk. All your friends are on your case. I have been lying to Arken to protect your ass. Why did you leave?" Lucas asked.

I stood silent for a minute, and then said, "The truth. The truth is I wanted to be with Sulfus. I wanted to run away with him, and live my life how I want it," I lied. I couldn't tell anyone I was pregnant. I didn't want people to know in case they tried to harm him or her. Reina was already on my ass, and I couldn't handle the rest of the angels and devils too.

"I just want to know you are safe," Lucas said giving me a brotherly hug.

"Thank you," I said receiving the hug.

"How touching," a voice from behind us said. We both turned looking at Quinn. She seemed to appear at the oddest moments.

"Quinn, how are you?" Lucas said stepping forward.

"I'm better I suppose. I need to discuss something with the both of you. Reina is trying to get her power back using everything she has. I fear the only way to prevent her from even touch her is to stop her soon while she is powerless. You two are one of the strongest angel converges in the universe. Your ancestors didn't bitch around when it came to more power. This power that you two inherited from Angeli," she said.

"Really?" I said confused.

"It's true," Lucas said giving me a 'don't ask more questions' face.

"Will you join me in Limbo to defeat Reina?" Quinn asked.

"I would under normal circumstances, but with a baby on the way I couldn't. I could risk the baby's safety, but when this baby is born I will gladly die if I could beat the living shit out of her," I say looking at my fist.

"And you won't be alone,'' Lucas said taking my hand. I smiled. I heard a knock on the door, and went to answer checking to see who it was.

"Welcome back," I said kissing Sulfus on the cheek.

"Why is there always a party when I leave?" he said acknowledging Lucas and Quinn.

"Just remember what I said," Quinn said and vanished. She has a weird way of leaving at awkward moments.

"I will leave you two alone, but Raf, don't do anything stupid," He said, and vanished too. I explained to Sulfus what they were talking about, and he understood my decision.

I went to lay on the bed and said, "Alone at last,"

"You're not completely alone," Sulfus said piercing my lips. He climbed on top of me drifting his hands up my shirt. He took it off, and I unzipped his jacket showing his abs. I moved my hand up and down still kissing. He reached his hand under my bra, and then to my back taking it off. It all felt right. He reached for my belt, and I put my hands up in his hair. He kissed me up and down my body stopping at certain places. He pulled his dark jeans down, and we became one.

Zane sat with Callie with his arm around her shoulder, as she leaned into his chest. "Do you think we should tell them?" Zane asked.

"I can't risk it. I want this to work," Callie said.

"It's a very dangerous risk, and I don't want you to get hurt," Zane said grabbing her hand.

"The pan is set, and I'm going through with it to protect Raf. I will remain to pretend I'm pregnant, and since I'm an easier target, Reina will take me not realizing I'm not pregnant," Callie said. "Everything will be ok."

In Limbo Reina sat looking into a bare world. "If only I could see into the human world again. It would be a hell of a lot easier than using you all the time. If I had Blue and you together everything would be even easier," Reina cursed. "I need to use Callie's child to get to Raf's. Raf's would also have incredible power," Reina yelled. "And I will control the universe!"

I leaned into Sulfus's bare chest. I had so many things wrong in my life, but I was glad to say this is one of the things in my life that was right. "I love you, Sulfus," I said.

He squeezed me closer and said, " I love you too," Sulfus was my perfect, and the only thing I could truly handle was him. I wrapped my arms around his chest, and he pulled my thigh up next to his. I loved his so much. I truly felt what love was for once in my life.
